Personality: Abel tries to keep up a steady and calm demeanor. Though he finds himself failing in that regard, simply because the man is quick to anger. As a teacher, this isn’t a quality others might like, at all. He tries his best though and has mastered bottling that anger up and releasing it through other means. Whether it be punching at something, yelling, or smoking. This isn’t saying that someone can’t push Abel over the edge. Those who do… well you had a good life right?

Abel is a very dominant man who has no tolerance for anything that derails his class or ask about his age. No seriously don’t. Even with his pokemon, now fully grown, he shows clear dominance as the alpha of the entire party, even the Haxorus. It is not because of his figure, it is just his attitude. The people or pokemon that are interfering with his plans or schedule know they are by the glare he gives. Enough to scare any pokemon or human to their core and put them in their place before he hast to use any other form of intimidation. These kids better fall in line, or he may have to look for another job.

For all of his slight anger issues, Abel is still a somewhat understanding man. He knows that people have off days, and that sometimes life can really suck. That sometimes you've been hit down so hard you cant really get back on to your feet. He tries his hardest to help those people though. Because as a man who has been around many criminals, he knows a helping hand can change the course for a human beings entire life. Although they better stay the hell away form his daughter, or you'll see he can hit a lot harder than life.

Abel is a very determined man who never leaves anything half-assed. He put his all into everything and likes the first time to work, be the only time, with no mistake. Yes, you could call him a perfectionist. He understands that mistakes do and can happen, he just doesn't like having to repair the mistakes and when you deal with pokemon breeding, mistakes can cost a life.

To his family, he is a very loving man, always seen with his subtle smile. He's one to understand that you have to enjoy the things you are given, his family especially and yes he considers his pokemon to be a part of his family as well. Though he knows business sometimes isn't pleasure and voids his smile for a more serious persona, his pokemon follow suit. It’s a hard shell, but his wife was able to break through and though he misses her every now and again he sees their divorce was for the best. Maybe some young new friends can break through as well... as long as they don't mention his age.

Abel's pride and joy has to be his daughter. He loves her more than anything else in the world, and is part of the reason for him being here. He can be a bit over protective, he knows that, but it isn't exactly something he can help. Her resemblance to her mother is too uncanny that he feels it is his duty to hold onto his little girl as much as he can and when she comes to visit well let’s just say old habits die hard.

History: Abel was born in Oreburgh City to two loving parents. His father was a great miner well known for his great finds, contributions, and additions to the Oreburgh City Museum. The museum repaid kindly when people from across the world came to see colossal fossils of prehistoric pokemon. Abel was astounded by this and wished to do be just like his father. To have as much of a strive and determination as him was his ultimate goal as a kid, and at the age of 15 he pursued a career as a miner as wll. It was only a sort of internship, but Abel enjoyed it greatly. Mostly because he was a rather self-conscious kid who would often look at himself in his bathroom mirror, flexing as the new muscles began to define themselves across his body as he worked harder and harder.

Abel did this with his father until he reached the age of 16. Where his first real interaction with pokemon came into play. All miners are equipped with pokeballs and potions in case any pokemon interfere with a miners progress. While Abel was mining he struck an Onix’s tail, buried in rubble. The golden beast roared out in pain and Abel was astounded as the rock snake glittered from the dim lights across the ceiling. Luckily, since he was alone, he grabbed for a pokeball and tossed it at the beast, catching his first real pokemon, and a shiny one at that.

It was then that Abel began to rapidly show an intense interest inpokemon, and thanks to the Oreburgh City Museum, he was able to go to an esteemed pokemon academy with no expense on him, nor his parents. He stayed there until he graduated, as one of the best In-Training Breeders in his class. He didn’t know why he had such an interest in breeding, perhaps it was because his Onix put the idea of a nest of baby Onix’s being disturbed, even though he was sure that wasn’t the case.

Abel soon returned home, only staying a year before leaving for Veilstone City, with his Onix in tow. He became a frequent studier at the Veilstone Library, studying biology and all around breeding of many species of pokemon. It was then at the age of 21, he met, who he though was the love of his life. She was a starting detective for the Veilstone police force and Abel wanted desperately to get to know her past mere meet and greets. So he pursued a degree in Law, as well as one in Teaching, though he fell off on his Teaching degree he did assume his degree in Law, becoming a detective with that in tow, and only three years later than her… -sigh-.

Time passed as it always did and his now wife and he, were the most well renown detectives in Sinnoh. Helping solve many dangerous crimes and being alive to help in the prosecution or defense of a person. His wife, on the other hand was more for prosecution than defense. After having their jobs well established, at the age of 28, Abel and his wife had a child, a little girl who became Abel’s entire reason for living. He saw this as an opportune time to pursue his degree in teaching and his wife… well she didn’t like that very much. She felt that imprisoning scum was more important than molding young minds. And to avoid arguments to scar their child the two divorced and moved their separate ways. Abel was heartbroken, lost, so he went to the one thing he knew he could do better than anyone else, raise pokemon.

Before he knew it, his daughter was leaving for GGA, remembering that place fondly he decided to apply for a job as the breeding teacher, and perhaps he would be their unofficial security captain. As he felt security on the man-made island was rather lacking. Locking his door, he went for the next ship to GGA, though this time it would be as a –mumblemumble- year old Breeding Teacher. “These kids better get their act together. Because I run a no bullshit policy and I’m smelling an awful lot of it.” He said when he first joined the academy’s staff. Now, eight years later, he’s proud to say that he still holds that same policy.
