Distinguishing Features: Jackie is lithe and thin, with the understated build of a second-rate gymnast. Her skin is rather tanned and her short hair burnished slightly reddish by the sun.

Personality:

There's something about that Jackie girl. Something suspicious. No, she hasn't done anything--that we've seen, anyway--it's just that something seems off. She has an easily suspected sort of face. Even if she hasn't done anything wrong yet, we're sure that she's going to.

That is what Jackie's teachers at her last school would say about her. It may have some small merit, given that she does tend to clash with authority figures as soon as they start trying to control, rather than merely guide, her behavior; however, for the most part it is terribly misleading about what she is like.

Jackie loves attention, for good or for ill, since she often feels like she has to work very hard to be noticed at all. Granted, she would really prefer for it to be the good kind; she will often go out of her way to do something nice for someone else just for the heck of it. When she can't figure out a way to make someone's day better, she has been known to set out to make someone's day more strange, which occasionally backfires on her but also can sometimes turn out for the better for everyone.

Honor is very important to her, though the ways she demonstrates this can occasionally seem a bit peculiar from the outside. She has the uncommon habit of choosing battles based on how little advantage she has, rather than how much, because she would hate to pick a fight against someone who couldn't defend themselves against her. This is not to say that she goes after losing battles; she just hates an unfair fight. In addition, Jackie would never tell a lie; knowing that not everyone observes such a taboo makes her a bit wary of other people, especially those whose measure she has not yet had the chance to take.

In an emergency, there are two ways that Jackie might behave, and they are more closely linked than they may seem at first glance. To one side, there is her anger. She is not especially easy to anger, but once she does feel that wrong has been done, she can become quite devious in her efforts to correct the problem. On the other side, though, is her caring. Especially with the people she loves, she will often respond to discovering someone else in crisis by offering a shoulder to cry on and some lunch to share.

History:

Jackie Everill was born to a rather unremarkable lower-middle-class couple in lovely Santalune City in Kalos, a certain distance south of the much larger metropolis of Lumiose and to the west of the roughly-equally-sized Snowbelle City. She grew up particularly aware of these neighboring cities, as her parents would often travel to one or the other for work or to meet with friends.

Jackie had an older brother named Corbin, who as soon as she was born took exception to no longer being an only child and made trouble for her in protest. Whether or not it was true, Jackie always had the feeling that her parents liked Corbin better than her, or at least noticed him more, and she disliked that. So, from a young age, she found herself seeking attention.
