When fishing, you have opportunities to catch certain Pokemon that you may not be able to catch anywhere else. Here are some guidelines for fishing so that you can get started.
• In order to go fishing, you need a fishing rod! Fishing rods come in three varieties; the Old Rod, Good Rod, and Super Rod. You'll need better rods to go fishing in some of the higher difficulty fishing spots. You need at least an Old Rod to fish in the Beginner area, at least a Good Rod to fish in the Intermediate Area, and at least the Super Rod to fish in the Expert area. These rods are typically bought from the store, but can likely be found other ways as well.
• Fishing acts like any other mod thread. Simply make an opening post so that a mod can spawn you a Pokemon. Just like normal mod threads, you can pass up to two times with the third Pokemon being the one you are stuck with.
• However, unlike normal mod threads, fishing threads can only be done once every two weeks. Too much fishing could damage the environment after all.
