This here is a guideline for all the details that need to be known for those interested in taking, or currently taking, the Battle Tactics classes with Catherine Eisenberg as the instructor. Notes below cover the details of the room, how classes will be given, and the standards expected to be adhered to during class.
For starters, Catherine believed the idea of a classroom hosting battles- educational or not- was both laughable and stupid. Because of this, with the help of her Pokemon, she rearranged the room to match a more “normal” classroom. Desks are arranged equidistantly with each other, giving students plenty of room to go around any desk in any fashion, while still granting enough closeness for the sake of shared notes. This structure is not set in stone, however, and desks will likely be rearranged as needed, or as desired by the students, in the case of group activities or similar circumstances.
Classes will begin typically at the beginning of a week every few weeks. Expect them on a Sunday or Monday. However, given the player's circumstances, it may occasionally start a little later (Tuesday, or even Wednesday) on occasion. Do not be surprised, if this is the case.
The waiting period between posts as the teacher will typically be one day, or twenty-four hours. I will not post sooner than that, but, again, based on the situation in reality, I may end up posting later. Do not count on this, though. Try to post as soon as possible. On subsequent rounds, however, I may post sooner if all participants from the previous round have posted.
Classes will open with Catherine setting up or waiting on class. The first “round” includes her opening the thread and students arriving. The second round is her greeting the class that day and presenting the day's topic and/or asking for reports dependent on the most recent assignment. If you have not appeared by the beginning of the third round, you will be considered late by Catherine, and, therefore, be excluded from any rewards that might have been given out during that class period.
Typically, every active student will receive one free TM usage per class period. This is both an incentive for students to do their best and a means of rewarding those that actually arrive on time. Dependent on the assignments given out, as well as any group projects, actual TMs may be given out for students to use at their leisure or to sell to their classmates.
Notes
Let it be said clearly that the average, every-class "TM use" reward offered is not a free TM, but a free use of a TM. The TMs, after usage, will be returned to Catherine's briefcase. This requires students to use them there, on the spot, on a Pokemon they had at the point of entering the classroom.
It should be a given, considering that this is a classroom, and not a social gathering, but all classes are considered an affair between the student and the teacher. In other words, for every post Catherine makes, you may make one. So, per student, there will be only one post per round in a class thread. Do note that you can check up on and have banter with classmates, but keep it within reason. Would you normally chat it up with people during an expensive lecture? If you want to mingle and talk in excess, please get together after class.
