Personality: Generally kind, and a bit shy at first. He is a natural Pokemon trainer, focusing on battle prowess and tactics rather than brute force. Sorin seems to have a certain way with Pokemon that few others can claim. Pokemon that are normally very shy have no problem being around Sorin, as his calm and kind demeanor put them at ease. And when Pokemon want you to prove yourself, Sorin is always the first one to try, and the hardest to work at it. He hates it when Pokemon or people get hurt for no reason, even going to far as to put himself in harms way to protect them. One thing about Sorin that isn't great is that he sometimes gets overwhelmed and because of that, depressed. The high standards he sets for himself often seem unobtainable.

History: Sorin grew up in Lilycove City in the Hoenn region. He grew up watching his older brother Cedric become a Master Pokemon trainer, having gone to and graduated from Grey Garden's Academy a few years before, as well as becoming somewhat of a TV personality on a reality show called "Trainer Life". Due to his brother's success, he was often the forgotten one. His parent's affection and attention was always firmly placed on his brother. This kindled in Sorin a kind of resentment for his older brother, as well as a need to be recognized for his own achievements.
To this end, Sorin began to study Pokemon battling on his own from a young age. He learned the in's and out's of type differences, field control, when to switch, anything he could get his hands on. He had mock battles with his family's Pokemon in the yard with the neighborhood kids, and through trial and error, learned some important lessons about what it means to be a trainer. Finally, after a long period of practice and study, he was able to pass the entrance exam to Gray Garden Academy. His parents however, barely noticed his work, and simply signed the check for the Academy almost without looking at his acceptance letter.
Sorin wants to one day exceed his brother's accomplishments, and knows that the first step is to come to this academy. After he graduates, he plans to travel the world and become a champion in his own right, and someday defeat his brother in a Pokemon battle. Beyond that, he wants to raise a team of Pokemon that he can be proud of. One that supports him just as much as he supports them.
