I had no idea there was a beautiful forest in this part of the academy. I may actually grow to like this place if this keeps up...! Seria thought to herself as she found herself within the woods where her dorm actually was. Furthermore, and more importantly, there were Pokemon here. Seria knew that she had to start small if she wanted to eventually get what she wanted. She admitted deep down inside it was a bit of a one-dimensional aspect to her hopes and dreams, but they were truly sincere. She thought back to the Pokemon she chose at the very beginning of her road to self-fulfillment. A Deerling, a cute little deer Pokemon she named 'Antenora', and an Azurill, a blue.. blobby Pokemon with a buoy-like tail, named 'Aquaelie.' With these two, Seria thought, she would allow herself to grow alongside them... And reach for the skies.
But that was for later. For now, Seria knew she had to stop being so whimsical and actually go out there and try to meet some Pokemon. The Forest of Mother Edea awaited, and Seria made her way proper out into the forested wilds.

Seria, by this time, had taken her Pokeball and sent out Antenora, who seemed to enjoy the sights of the wood and took the time to graze some random portions of grass. Smiling, Seria took this moment to admire her cute little deer before Antenora tilted her head and looked to the other side. Seria followed the gaze and realized that another Pokemon appeared; it was some sort of adorable little green seedling waddling about in the open. It was definitely recognizable to Seria as a 'Budew,' and while she thought those little cutiepies were definitely huggable, she couldn't bring herself to have Antenora weaken it through battling to catch it.
And on that note, Antenora looked at Seria quizically as the trainer stared at the seedling Pokemon, letting it waddle away into the bushes. The Deerling made a bit of a sound, to with Seria responded with pettings and strokings. "Ah well... I can't really bring myself to capture such a thing. Maybe the next one! Okay!"
(( Let it go! Let's look for another! ))

Seria continued to explore the woods with Antenora, and eventually, more rustling of grass and bushes was made evident, and soon enough, a small grey-furred rodent appeared, rushing out of the grass and then looking at the Deerling with a pleasant expression. It made a soft, but cute squeaky growl which caused Seria to grin a little. "Oh, hey, I want one! That's so cute! Hey, let's see how this works out, okay, Antenora?" Seria turned down to pet the Deerling before facing back towards the Minccino, trying to recall back to how her parents would do Pokemon battles both against wild ones and other Trainer Pokemon. "Okay, Antenora, use your Jump Kick on it!" Seria tried to maintain a confident stance, and the Deerling appeared to respond in kind, galloping towards the Minccino which suddenly looked a bit more alarmed as she was promptly kicked in the face by a leaping deer's hooves. Naturally, it seemed to do some significant damages to her, but regardless, it still stood, though it looked definitely a little battered.
The rodent winced before jumping towards Antenora, turning mid-air and began to furiously swat at her with her tail, smacking the deer senseless as there was a one hit, a two hit, a three hit, and then a fourth one! It seemed to rustle the deer's jimmies a little as it shuddered and shook in annoyance, the leaves on its antlers falling. Seria promptly considered her next move; for she didn't want to completely knock out the Pokemon, but she wanted to weaken it enough that it wouldn't be able resist capture. "Antenora, use Leech Seed!" Seria pointed at the Minccino and soon the deer nodded, shaking and shuddering for a moment before releasing seeds that sprouted beneath the rodent, causing small vines to sink and wrap around the rodent's legs.
In response to this, the rodent let its eyes flash innocently at the Deerling; it seemed to sting, the brightness was much for Antenora to handle, and she flinched somewhat, feeling herself a little bit weaker on the trigger. Though, the resulting turn allowed Antenora to suck some energy from the Minccino. It slightly weakened her, but probably enough that the next blow would send it over the edge. "Alright, Antenora, finish it with Energy Ball!" Blinking, the rodent seemed to almost realize what was about to happen, as Antenora began to raise her head into the air, letting the natural energy from within her, well up and materialize in the form of a ball in between her antlers, which she promptly threw directly at the Minccino. This was enough to do the damage Seria required to neutralize the Minccino.
Speaking of said rodent, it was now fallen on the ground, twitching and barely gasping for breath. Fetching an Academy Ball from her pack, she threw it at the rodent Pokemon and hoped she would get it.
