Up for a Scrap [Tanya/Battle]

"And stay down you annoying douche!" Tanya called out, too into the battle to think about how Astrid might feel. Maybe she was being harsh, but she managed to get that pokemon to faint, which was a victory in her book. She could totally win this thing! She waited as her opponent did another flourish, something that she personally enjoyed watching, and then she released her pokemon.

"Well fuck." She couldn't help but mutter to herself as the Beldum entered the field. This was going to be hard. Very hard. Of course, she was a Bolt Dorm member. She would of course choose the type that completely ruined her. But there was still a chance. Beldum only knew Take Down. She knew that Dani could take one hit of that. Then she could hit it with a Water Pulse and possibly confuse it. It was probably the only way she could win.

Zen Headbutt. Since when the hell did Beldum know Zen Headbutt. Was there a memo she missed? She swore all they knew was Take Down. Unfortunately for her, the attack hit as well. As Dani started to spin around, all of the illusions disappeared from the battlefield. Once she had collapsed, Tanya knew it was over.

"You did good out there Dani." She reassured her pokemon as she returned it to her pokeball. She let out a quick sigh to herself. She lost her first match here. While it sorta sucked, at the same time, it just meant that she had to get better. She knew what her weaknesses were now.

She should also apologize to Astrid. She probably said some hurtful things during the fight. It was a habit that she needed to learn to get over, but during the match, she couldn't help but let her emotions overwhelm her. She just loved battling that much, but that probably wasn't a good excuse.

"Hey! Sorry about anything I said during the match. I can get like really intense and say super hurtful stuff which like I totally don't mean." Tanya apologized as she reached Astrid. She still gave her a wide smile though. The battle was a good one and it was nice to see just what sort of competition she was facing.

"You're pokemon are like totally awesome though! I never knew Beldum could learn Zen Headbutt. We totally need have another match sometime. I need to get better with the pokemon I have and get some new ones as well. I know I'm totally gonna beat you one day though!" Tanya said loudly, extending her hand to shake in order to congratulate her for the good pokemon match.

"We should hang out sometime as well. Maybe not battle, just like chill and talk about girl stuff and whatnot. What do you say? Up for that?"

Astrid cracked the faintest trace of a smirk at Tanya's comment as Xanadu went down. "Well, tell is how you really feel," she remarked quietly, dropping her theatrics for the moment. Then, once again, whether by miracle or psychic powers, Quadraxis scored a direct hit. From the looks of things, it seemed like Tanya didn't realize the Beldum could pull out a Zen Headbutt too. Which was fair. Astrid hadn't actually known either, at first. And fortunately, that worked in her favor, since the Skrelp went down with that attack. Astrid breathed a sigh of relief. Once the Skrelp had started making illusory copies of itself, Astrid was sure that her luck would immediately run out.

"Whew. Great work, Quadraxis!" Astrid said. "I'd high-five you, but, well, my hands aren't that strong. Come on back!" She held out Quadraxis's pokeball and recalled it, then turned her attention back on Tanya. The victory seemed a bit underwhelming without the applause that usually accompanied the end of one of her shows, but she would make do. She at least knew how to end one of these gigs right.

Which was to say, with as few hard feelings as possible.

"Hey, don't worry about it," Astrid said. "Trust me, I've done a few acting gigs in the past and I know all too well that you can say a lot of stuff in the heat of the moment. And...well, Xanadu did the same thing to me when I tried to catch her, so I know where you're coming from." She laughed. "And thanks! Yours were pretty great too! You put up a hell of a fight for being at such a disadvantage!" She extended her own hand as well, taking and shaking Tanyas. "I'll look forward to that day. But don't forget that I'm going to keep getting stronger too."

And then it came, the assurance that she had definitely made a friend here. Astrid gave Tanya another bright smile. "I'd love to hang out with you sometime."

There was something about Astrid that she couldn't put her finger down on. She just seemed to be a really fun person to be around. Maybe it was because she was similar to herself with all her theatrics on the battlefield. It made her wonder how she could do in contest battles. She had the theatrics down pat.

"Awesome! I'll get in contact with you sometime soon and we can like totes hang out. As for you getting stronger, that's what I expect you to do. After all, you are like my rival, which is like totally awesome by the way, and if you can't get better, that would be way too boring." Tanya explained, words once again taking a life of their own as the zipped out of Tanya. Judging from how Astrid acted, Tanya didn't have any qualms in talking the way she did. She knew she could keep up.

Checking back on her map, she looked at it and wondered where she was going to go next. While she had made one friend, she was going to try to make some more. After scanning the area for a bit, she found out about a place called the Commons, which seemed to be a hangout place for other kids in the school. She should probably head to a place where she could heal her pokemon first though.

Knowing where she had to go now, she turned away from the other girl and quickly made her way towards the exit. As she was leaving though, she turned her head around and waved at Astrid.

"I'll see you later though! I'm gonna explore campus a bit more and heal my pokemon. Thanks again for the match and I'll see you in class or something and then we can hang out!"
