Name: Crispin Yates
Age: Fifteen
Date of Birth: November Ninth
Birthplace: Sinnoh (He thinks)
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Bisexual
Face Claim: Jude Mathis ─ Tales of Xillia
Appearance:
Height: 5'7"
Character Type: Student
Personality:
All his life he had never had to be in one situation for very long, and as a result gets antsy very quickly. If things stay the same for to long, he's bound to start getting frustrated and act out. He thrives with change, and as mentioned before, adapts very easily. When things around him get stale, he feels like he will start to too and will do anything he can to add a little chaos into the mix if necessary. Routine and planning is for the boring and faint of heart, after all.
In almost any situation, he will try to keep a happy, upbeat expression on his face and a kind word to say to anyone who needs it. Keeping it up all the time can be exhausting, true; but in his eyes it's rewarding enough for the hassle. He is prone to teasing people he knows well enough to do so, which can be annoying at times, but it's all out of love. When he sees it's beginning to really get under someone's skin he usually knows to stop, but even he can get carried away and push people away by mistake in the process.[/ul]

History:
His curiosity hadn't been completely sated, but as time grew on it dulled. Despite being a parent by herself, Lucilla managed to fill both roles wonderfully. Strict and firm when necessary, but calm and loving the rest of the time. She taught him how to behave, and basic manners every person should have. Especially as the son of a renowned trainer. Lucy never had any huge titles or amazing victories, but had enough of a reputation to make a career out of it. The 'Wayfaring Trainer', they called her. Crispin had always thought it was stupid, but it amused his mom, so he tried to pretend he thought it was just as funny as she did.
The 'title' was pretty straightforward. He and his mom never stayed in the same place for more than a few weeks. Sometimes they'd stay for as long as a couple months, but by then they were both itching to get back on the road and continue on. If it wasn't for the amazing ability for technology to store their belongings, they would have had nothing to call their own except what they could carry on their back. As they traveled, Lucy would make a point to challenge every gym in the regions they were in. Very rarely did she lose these challenges, though she never pushed her luck to fight any elite four. She was content to defeat the leaders, increase her renown and earn her pay.
Watching his mother train year after year pushed Crispin to follow her in her footsteps. With her permission, he eventually caught his own Pokemon. It was just an Abra, but one he loved dearly all the same. He trained her every second of every day, pushing her hard. It was obvious his Abra cared for him, but grew tired with the constant training. Crispin noticed this, and stopped almost instantly. He was frustrated with himself for not realizing the problem he was causing earlier, and tried talking to his mother about it. It was apparent his dumb luck and inherited skill wouldn't carry on forever.
After thinking about it and talking it over for some time, they decided it might be best for him to try a school. He was sceptical about the decision at first, not really thrilled on the idea of being stuck somewhere for so long after the freedom he had his whole life, but he trusted his mom. She never led him wrong before, and besides, if it meant being able to take care of his Abra like she should be afterwords, than all the better.
With some research, they found the perfect match. They were in Hoenn at the time, and heard someone mention Gray Garden Academy during their stay at a Pokemon center. After looking into it, Lucilla decided it couldn't be better. There were plenty of different areas for Crispin to get his energy out in, and offered the chance to learn first hand how to train. The only downside was him not being able to take his own Abra with him, but she promised to keep her safe until he returned.
With that, his own solo-venture began.[/ul]
