Oleg versus Chris [Chris, Battle.]

Oleg let out a faint grunt as he skipped back and forth in the waiting room, watching the current match before the speakers finally announced for the next battlers to take up the dome. He pushed the door open, entering the arena as he tapped his foot lightly, looking around the stadium, waiting for his opponent. This will be interesting, he could tell. He wondered who would be his opponent. Maybe some of the older students? Maybe someone with all fully evolved pokemon? Wait, no, that's silly, todays rules were basic forms only. He shrugged slightly, folding his arms as he waited.

Having been watching the battles for a short amount of time, Chris was somewhat nervous as to what would be his first battle here, a 3v3, no evolutions or extras... sounded simple enough, let's just hope things don't go too badly. upon the call going out to enter the arena, Chris silently got up and walked into the arena, immediately turning his focus to who would be his opponent... it's the fat kid from before... better not say that out loud, that probably wouldn't go down well. Silently  taking out one of his four poke balls... let's see how well this goes... hopefully he doesn't have something that counter's everything... that'd be a pain.

Oleg gritted his teeth. Oh Arceus dammit, it's that kid. Oh well, he should probably stay quiet for most of this match, so no tragic backstory or other crap should not come from his mouth. He then examined the kid thoroughly before grabbing one of his pokeballs, throwing it as it then released Lancel the Pawniard, who immidietly took his battle stance, facing the kid as he waited for orders. Oleg proceeded to fold his arms, tilting his head to the side as he waited. The kids gotta have some dark types. He was from mana, he remembered that much. Mana meant either dark, ghost or psychic.

A Pawniard eh, well this should be interesting... based off what I currently have... Skorupi would be my best bet, considering he has good defense and he has moves which would be neutral, and if he get's up a few acupressures... he'll certainly do much better. sending out Skorupi, he merely glared at the Pawniard (not the move before anyone brings up him not having glare), ready to fight and prove his worth. "so then... would you prefer to start, or shall I?" Chris asked in an extremely calm tone... sure Pawniard will be tough to crack, but Skorupi is even harder to crack due to it's physical defensive capabilities.

Oleg blinked a bit. A skorupi. Well, that would be rather interesting, but the bug type should not have anything too dangerous. He then tapped his chin for a moment, calculating the possibilities of his attacks before nodding to himself, pointing to the skorupi as he then yelled his orders to Lancel. "Alright. Use metal claw!"

Lancel nodded, dashing forwards as his metal claws begun to glow. He then dashed right towards the skorupi, slashing his claws in a X like shape. Oleg grinned. That had to hurt, even if the damn thing would have some hard as hell armor.

Action: Used metal claw, Base power 50, STAB makes it 75, backed by attack power of 85.

Getting hit by the force of the Metal Claw, Skorupi appeared to stagger for a moment, but He quickly regained his composure, seemingly not extremely badly damaged due to his high physical defenses, but it still hurt a bit. Now then, what would be the best move to use here... Crunch and Cross Poison won't really be all that good here, which leaves it up to Bug Bite and Acupressure... Acupressure could be quite valuable, but it is also somewhat of a risky move.

"Skorupi, Bug Bite" Chris spoke calmly. Skorupi quickly advanced towards the Pawniard, quickly grabbing ahold and climbing onto it's back before Chomping downwards, sure Skorupi isn't the best attacker, but that still should hurt.

(action taken, Bug Bite (base power of 60) with stab (90), accuracy is 100% and since Lancel has no berries, no rolls are required)

Oleg watched as the bug climbed onto Lancel's back and bit into it. Those teeth did not sink too far into the steel skin of Lancel, but it did still do some damage due to his dark type. Lancel shook for a moment before grabbing the skorupi by it's tail and throwing it away, taking a battle stance. Oleg pondered for a moment before yelling to Lancel. "Okay... Feint attack!"

Lancel prepared his claws, suddenly fading out of existance for a moment... Before appearing behind the skorupi, slashing his claws in another x shape, before dissapearing once more and appearing where he originally was before the attack.

Action: Feint attack, 60 BP, STAB makes that 90, backed by base attack of 85.

Certainly feeling the impact of the attack, once again it didn't do massive damage thanks to Skorupi's strong physical defense, but it was starting to add up, that's for certain. planning out which move to take once again, Chris called out for another bug bite, causing Skorupi to advance once more, this time though, it bit right into the left arm, aiming to try and damage it to weaken the force of potential attacks, of course that is quite unlikely, but that was merely Skorupi's logic in the situation.

The bug bit into Lancel's blade hand, the pawniard letting out a faint grunt as it, after some hand shaking, released his hand from the clutches of the skorupi's clutches, grunting a bit as it lept back, crossing it's blades into a ready X form. Oleg pushed his glasses up slightly, motioning to Lancel. "Feint attack! Finish it!"

Lancel nodded, disappearing from existence, appearing in front of the skorupi, his eyes glistening for a moment before doing the X shaped strike right at the poor bug types face. Lancel then disappeared once more, back to it's original position, beginning to sharpen his claws, striking them against eachother.

Taking the attack directly to the face, it appeared as if Skorupi was down, but he barely managed to get back up... must be on a sliver of health at this point... well, time to make the most of it while one can. "Skorupi, get off one last Bug Bite if you can" Chris ordered, causing Skorupi to charge once more and nimbly climb onto the Pawniard, giving him the chance to chomp down on the Pawniard in the same spot where the first Bug bite had hit, in order to try and make the injury deeper.

Oleg blinked. Well, the bug was still up. Sure, a blow of wind could EASILY knock it down, but he was slightly impressed that the thing was still up. He simply watched as it climbed back to the back and bit deep into it. Hell, did it even have anything else to do against the steel type? He was not sure, and he was NOT going to find out. He motioned to Lancel, who by now knew what the signs meant as he disappeared, appearing behind the skorupi as he then slashed in a X motion, appearing where he as before the move afterwards.

Skorupi finally collapsed from the blow, clearly out of energy at this point, and now unable to continue fighting, Chris sighed faintly as he recalled Skorupi. "not bad I suppose... come on out Midnight" Chris spoke as he sent out his Murkrow, which simply smirked seeing the Pawniard. "sucker punch, take the Pawniard down before it can get off another strike" Chris ordered, causing Midnight to fly right towards the Pawniard at an extremely high speed, when in range Murkrow delivered a powerful peck to the pokemon, using all of the momentum that had been built up by the high speed attack.

(action take. Skorupi fainted, switched out for Midnight (Murkrow). sucker punch has 80 base power, but due to being priority 1 base power increases to 100. plus stab makes it 150. no roll's required due 100% accuracy)

Oleg gritted his teeth as he saw the murkrow sent out, and he cursed to himself as the Murkow then proceeded to launch itself against Lancel at full speed. Lancel took the hit, launching back against the wall with a loud cry of pain, falling onto the ground... Only to shakingly get up, taking the battle stance again, clearly wounded. Oleg tapped his chin for a long time, before nodding to himself. "Alright, use metal claw!"

Lancel nodded at it's trainers orders, his claws shining as he bounced up to the air, practically flying to the murkow before slicing his blades at the bird, then proceeding to land down, not sure if he hit or not.

The force of the metal claw caused Midnight to fall for a moment, however she quickly recovered, it had done a good amount of damage, although not enough to one shot Murkrow in any way, shape or form. "Sucker Punch one more, finish it off" Chris ordered, causing Murkrow to charge once again at an extremely high speed, resulting in it slamming right into the Pawniard once again, using the momentum and Midnights once surprisingly strong physical strength to input as much force as possible into the strike, aiming to end the Pawniard here and now.

(Used Sucker Punch, base power 100, plus stab makes it 150, resistance drops damage down to 75, no rolls required due to 100% accuracy)

And there it came. Lancel had done his job, and he had always been the one in the team who enjoyed battling the most. He called the pokemon back as it was sent flying towards the wall again, pondering for a moment before grabbing Hoare's ball, throwing it and sending out the rock pokemon. He then pointed to the Murkrow, yelling to Hoare. "Rock slide!"

Hoare begun to spin and float all around, emitting a loud and rather calming hum before summoning three rocks out of nowhere, and then throwing them at the murkrow, returning to simply floating in place and humming.

Action: Used Rock slide, Base power 90,STAB makes it 135, super effective, backed by attack of 45.
Note: Pawniard is out and will not be used, sent out Nosepass. Rolling for both accuracy and flinch chance.
