Perhaps it was the name of the particular mountain, for whatever reason, Angeletta found herself trekking up the path that made up Mount Brave, Titania and Louis at her heels. She had just arrived at Gray Garden Academy not too long ago, a few days ago to be exact. Considering she had a few days break from having just arrived at the Academy, Lettie decided that it was time to start on her own workings at becoming a strong Pokemon trainer, after all, she had to write home every day and so far she hadn't been doing anything in regards to her training other than bonding with her Pokemon. Once she had reviewed the map she had been given at the entrance ceremony, Lettie had decided to make her way to this particular destination.

"How do you fair lord and lady?" she asked her two Pokemon, a smile forming upon her lips as her gaze caught those of her Piplup and Eevee.

Titania let out a cheery recital of her name, the little Eevee brushing her tail affectionately against her trainer's leg before she continued her way along the mountain with surprising vigor of one so small. Louis watched Titania in bewilderment, no doubt wondering where the Eevee got all her energy. Lettie was able to tell that the Piplup was exhausted, pants omitting from his open beak as he shot the mountain several glares. Bending down to the penguin-like Pokemon's level, the young Lady reached over to pat Louis on the head, a gentle smile on her lips.

"You're doing great, Louis" she told him in an enthusiastic manner. "Shall I carry you if you feel yourself struggling to continue?" the female trainer inquired in a polite tone of voice. At this statement, Louis' eyes seemed to water with gratefulness, that is, until his ego kicked in. Crossing his flippers over his chest, the Piplup turned his way from Lettie's offer, making a motion with his flipper as he did so.

Lettie smiled and stood up from her position, knowing she shouldn't argue with a proud Pokemon like a Piplup and simply allowed her steps to become slightly smaller than before so that Louis had an easier time to catch up with her and Titania. The Eevee who was just as polite as Lettie walked alongside Louis instead of in front of him, her high pitched voice telling the trainer that Titania had begun conversing with the Piplup. As the trio continued their trek, Titania's ears twitched and she let out a recital of her name to alert Lettie.

"Is something the matter, Titania?" the young Lady asked her Eevee, looking over at the fox-like Pokemon. At that moment a wild Pokemon appeared, catching Lettie's attention. "Ah, I shall assume this is what you were alerting me about, thank you, Titania."

The Pokedex that Lettie had taken out began to speak in an electronic tone of voice, feeding her information on the Pokemon she had just crossed paths with. She and her Pokemon were silent as they listened to the handheld Pokemon device, intrigued at the facts it was spewing.

Mienfoo the Martial Arts Pokemon. It takes pride in the speed at which it can use moves. What it loses in power, it makes up for in quantity.

Placing the Pokedex safely back into her skirt pocket, a small smile formed on Angeletta's lips and she gave the Mienfoo a polite curtsy before adding, "Shall we begin, Sir Mienfoo?"

No sooner had the words left her lips did the Mienfoo steadily lowered himself in a kung fu-like fighting stance, readying himself for battle. Considering that Titania had a disadvantage due to her Normal typing, Lettie instead nodded to Louis who stepped onto the battlefield, a determined glint in his eye. The battle had not even started and Lettie was already feeling the excitement and adrenaline rushing through her veins.

"Bubble Beam, Louis!" the young lady commanded the penguin-like Pokemon. At once, Louis opened his yellow beak wide as a jetstream of beam-like bubbles began to shoot from his mouth, aiming themselves at the targeted Mienfoo. With great speed, the ermine-like Pokemon dodged the incoming jet of bubbles before proceeding to attack Louis. His fist began to glow a dazzling green hue before it collided with the Piplup, sending the Water Pokemon reeling backward from the blow as glimmers of green flew from Louis and to the wild Mienfoo. It occurred to Lettie that the glimmers of green light had been Louis' energy, Louis' health had been drained from him, the Mienfoo had used Drain Punch.

"Louis, are you alright?" Lettie asked her Pokemon, concern evident in her tone. Louis steadily got to his feet, shaking himself and downright glaring at the Mienfoo, letting out a recital of his name in reply to his trainer's inquiry. It seemed as though the Piplup was quite determined to defeat his opponent now, the fire clearly burning in the penguin Pokemon's eyes. Sensing Louis' resolve, Lettie smiled slightly. What could she do when a proud Pokemon like a Piplup was eager to fight on?

"Louis, he has breakneck speed. Let's use that to our advantage shall we? If you can manage to get close to him, use Drill Peck" the female trainer advised, pushing back her hair over her shoulder as she spoke. "We can do win this." With his trainer's words echoing in his mind, the Piplup nodded his head in understanding before letting out a might cry of his name, charging right at the Mienfoo. Seeing the Piplup honing in on him, the Mienfoo decided to quickly dodge it, readying himself to do so.

"He's preparing to dodge, Louis! Now is your chance! Drill Peck!" Lettie called out.

Hearing his trainer's command, Louis sharply turned the moment the swift Mienfoo was about to dodge, his head now facing the ermine Pokemon's body. The Piplup's beak began to spin rapidly, like a corkscrew, the motions of the sharp beak landing a clean hit on the Fighting Pokemon resulting in a super effective strike. Startled by his opponent's tactic and letting out a cry of pain from the attack, the Mienfoo fell to the ground, visibly weakened from Louis' Drill Peck.

Seeing that the Mienfoo was weakened, Lettie took out an Academy Ball she had received from the Academy itself and threw it at the Martial Arts Pokemon, hoping to capture it. The light sucked the Fighting Pokemon into its depths as it began to wriggle vigorously back and forth, the light blinking red while Lettie, Louis and Titania waited with batted breath to see the outcome.
