Into The Arena! [Battle vs. Kyrie Vyler]

Post by Seria Floria on Jun 27, 2014 3:06:11 GMT
After her first Pokemon battle against another trainer ever, which ended in a close loss for her, Seria decided she would try to take the whole thing more seriously. She was able to realize that her Purrloin, Severa, loved to cause lots of trouble to the opponent, and was very crafty. Thus, Seria decided to pander her and build her battle plan in such a way that it would allow Severa to have lots of fun in the middle of the battle. Meanwhile, whilst Seria was bonding with Antenora in the woods, an evolution was experienced, causing the Deerling to mature into a strong and beautiful Sawsbuck. Overall, Seria was pleased with herself since then, and decided she would test her mettle again.
Standing in the academy battle arena once more, Seria looked straight on ahead in a very conspicuous spot of the arena, where it was easy to notice her. Standing next to her was Antenora, her head raised high as her flora-riddled antlers seemed to be highlighted by the environment. "We're going to try this again, right? Do you want to take part in the battle?" Seria stroked Antenora's back, but the great Sawsbuck shook her head, she seemed interested in taking a backseat. Severa had suddenly appeared from below, nuzzling Seria's legs as the girl giggled and picked her up. "Okay. I guess we'll be going with something else then."
Party: Purrloin / Azurill / Minccino NOT TAKING PART: Sawsbuck (unless opposing trainer desires it)

Time for the second round, battle; whatever. Last time went fine until the Mana girl had a phobia attack where she then proceeded to act like a five-year old afraid the boogeyman was going to get her. Safe to say that now, after all of that; was a rather embarrassing memory. More or less because she managed to headbutt the corner of a wall and give herself a nosebleed. Genius Kyrie, genius.
Hopefully this time things would go better. Much better. Kyrie proceeded into the arena once more, still suffering from her shyness of being in front of others; with Mammon trotting beside her. It was odd for the espeon not to perch himself of her shoulder like he normally did, truthfully it was a little discomforting. She hadn't used the espeon in the last battle and again would leave him out in this battle, hopefully giving some of her other pokemon more experience since she lacked in giving them attention.
Kyrie didn't bother to look at her opponent until after she found her square. Wary eyes looked forward to see a dark haired girl in pink. Nature dorm this time was it? And this time it was someone she didn't know, something she expected in her first battle but didn't get. Kyrie motioned for the girl to go first, holding her own ball in the pocket of her jacket.
Party: Shuppet, Vanillite, Zubat

Seria tried to look serious this time, but all she probably did was succeed in making herself look goofy. Motioning for Antenora to stay back - which she did - Seria saw her opponent. A complete stranger to her, but she came from the Mana dorm, as evidenced by her uniform and garb. Mana dorm member... Chris had lots of Pokemon from that dorm. Good thing Antenora isn't participating. I bet her on her own could beat her... Seria thought to herself as soon the lavender-haired girl motioned towards Seria to make the first move. Severa perched herself on Seria's shoulder, while she soon raised a Pokeball and threw it forward. "Not so talkative, huh? Well, I guess I'll go first! Come on out, Aquaelie!" Seria called out for her little Azurill to appear.
Aquaelie himself was really small, and Seria honestly didn't want to exert him too much. But she would have to see how hard he could take it. The Azurill hadn't done anything particularly exhausting either, so this would be a start. Severa remained clinging to Seria's form, watching, while Antenora behind her just decided to kneel on its legs, resting and watching from the backside. "Now's your turn, missy!"

Kyrie watched as the other girl... okay she wasn't exactly she what the other girl was trying to do except make a strange face. She was probably trying to be serious but with Kyrie as her opponent, that was like a waste really; seeing as the girl had a rather blank face on. Occasionally she would rub her nose for an itch, otherwise; nothing. Not even a comment to the other girl's words. She was certainly an enthusiastic one wasn't she? The Mana girl expected the giant deer standing behind the girl to be sent out but instead she got a little blue mouse with a bubble on its tail. Her first question was: where were it's arms, her second was why didn't she send out the giant deer? Well, Kyrie wouldn't complain, it's not like she was sending out Mammon after all.
The girl was kind enough to wait for her to summon her own pokemon, which she obliged. Grabbing one of the three, Kyrie sent out Belphegor her zubat. The bat pokemon flapped in the air rather intent on the little mouse before it. One big eared creature for another no? Not as courteous as her opponent, Kyrie gave the first order. "Belphegor, show them stars." One had flicked at the air and then the zubat's mouth opened letting out a sea of stars.

Seria crossed her arms and observed as the Mana dorm student called out for her Zubat, it was a bat, of course, though it had no eyes. Then again, bats were typically blind to begin with. The Azurill Aquaelie continued to eagerly bounce up and down in place, he soon saw the Zubat literally start spitting out stars. It was much too surprising for him, so he found himself getting pelted by the myriad stars being vomited from the bat Pokemon's mouth. Aquaelie closed his eyes and braced for impact, but fortunately it didn't hurt too much. If the Zubat continued to use Swift, Seria estimated that Aquaelie could handle two more Swifts. Meanwhile, Seria thought carefully on her next move.
Aquaelie only knows mostly offensive attacks... Actually, let me try something... Seria mused for a brief moment before calling out towards her Azurill. "Don't worry about the Zubat, you'll be fine! Aquaelie, jump high in the air with your Bounce!" The Azurill began to bounce in place using its large ball tail, before suddenly propelling itself incredibly high into the air.
Used Bounce! Currently in the air.

The attack hit, of course; but it didn't do any major damage much to Kyrie's disapointment. Belphegor seemed quite happy that he was the first to attack, in fact he as happily 'hopping' in the air; that was until the little blue mouse bounced on it's tail. The thing managed to hop higher than he himself was currently flying. It was on. No little groundling was going to get the better of him! A flying type!
Without waiting for his trainer's command (as her pokemon usually did for some reason), Belphegor let out a screech, pounding his wings until he was higher above the air-borne azurill. Kyrie had just about to say something, being left with only a little 'hmph' and a vocal "Whatever." One of the main reasons why she liked Mammon, he actually waited for her. Better yet he actually listened to her. Bunch of independent twits...
Action: Used Fly, is currently in the air.

As Aquaelie bounced high into the air, the Azurill suddenly realized that the Zubat that he had transcended in height now attempted to race him into the air. Uh oh. Seria sighed as she saw Aquaelie lose his hang time, reaching the peak of his bounce, as he now ended up diving into nothing, he harmlessly bounced back on the floor and looked up at the Zubat, noticeably upset. "Aw, it's okay, honey, I'll give you something after this, okay? So cheer up," Seria flailed a bit as she saw how sad the Azurill was for missing his Bounce. Seria turned to face the other trainer, and suddenly realized the Zubat actually flew into the air without any command. Welp.
"Please be careful though, Aquaelie, that Fly attack might hurt you lots!" Seria called out in warning to her Pokemon, and the Azurill bounced a bit in recognition of the warning.
Bounce missed because the Zubat used Fly on the same turn...

There was something wrong with her pokemon, Kyrie just knew it. They were all so prideful, except her ice cream who was just a cry baby. Even after the azurill began to descend, her zubat was still pounding at the air into high heights. How he managed to notice the falling mouse, she would never know; but he did and he was exhilarated by it. He swirled in the air, spinning into a dive as he charged down at the mouse. He was screeching, probably a bat-laugh as the ground came closer and closer.
It was times like these that the Mana girl felt sorry for the other pokemon, the ones that had to take on her overly competitive bunch twiddle sticks. She folded her arms, listening to the other girl as she promised the azurill something after his failed attempt.

Aquaelie tried to stop himself from getting hit by the Zubat, but the Zubat just descended way too quickly for him, and he got cleanly smacked in the face by a descending bat. The damage was severe, but the Azurill barely stood, even the weakest attack would be enough to knock him out at this point. Seria winced as she saw the painful impact. "Cripes... That looks painful..." Behind Seria, Antenora similarly winced as she patiently watched. Severa seemed overall uninterested at the scene unfolding before her. Aquaelie seemed determined now, not only to see if he could hit the damn batty bastard, but also to make his trainer less worried about him. It would seem that Aquaelie had the makings to become a hotblooded fighter.
"Alright, can you still stand, Aquaelie?" Seria called out towards the little baby Pokemon, who responded with a weak nod. "OK, do your best! Use Slam on that Zubat!" Seria pointed at the flying bat as Aquaelie now bounced forward towards the bat now at a reasonable level, and soon eventually leaped into the air to try and tackle it with a tail slam.

Belphegor smashed into the azurill with all his mighty flying pride and glory. Being heavier than the baby pokemon, Belphegor didn't get sent backwards with the impact rather he kept he got deterred from his original path, swerving off to the side. Rapidly flying his wings to regain lost altitude. Kyrie unwillingly mimicked the other trainer's wince at the attack, bringing one hand to her face in a 'ouch' kind of expression.
The zubat had regained some height, doing his batty chuckle; before an impact hit him square in the back. Confused, he spun a bit before regaining his balance in a mostly ungraceful way. If he had eyes Belphegor would've been glaring at the offending azurill who had just disturbed victory time. In his mind there would've been a 'how dare he!' but all the outside could hear was one outraged screech. Now was the perfect time to actually put in a command. "Belphegor bite!" commanded, more or less yelling lest he not hear her through his own rage.
Command in mind, the zubat did another bat screech before climbing and swooping down at the azurill. His large fangs ready to bite through even steel at that point.
Action: Bite, BP 60, BA 45. 100% accuracy therefore no need to roll.

The Azurill bounced a little, looking tired, but no longer upset, he had landed the attack, but there was little time to celebrate. The Zubat was visibly enraged, and began a swift counter attack by flying forth and attempting to bite the Azurill. Well, the Zubat was able to sink his fangs deep into the Azurill, and Aquaelie responded by weakly flailing about to try and get the dang bat off him, but despite his resistance to the Dark type attack, he was too weak to resist, and slumped in defeat. Seria gasped as she stepped forward to check on him. The Azurill didn't seem terribly sad, more tired and annoyed than anything. Seria sighed and recalled her Pokemon back.
"Aw..." Seria sighed and fidgeted with her Pokeballs. "Alright... come on, Carrie!" Seria called out another one of her Pokemon, a grey rodent. Seria liked her Mincinno, but seemed to express worry regarding the fact she only had Normal type moves. If this trainer had a Ghost type, at any point, she would have to switch. The rodent waddled a little bit before nodding at her trainer. "Okay, Carrie. Now you use your Slam attack!" Seria commanded her Pokemon to charge at the Zubat with a Slam attack of her own.
The Mincinno hopped forth and leaped, bracing itself as if doing a shoulder slam on the flying bat.

Belphegor's fangs met his lower, yes that bat felt rather high of himself at this point; holding him until his useless struggles tired out before dropping him. Little wisps of air left him like some kind of chuckle as he flapped up in the air, hovering this way and that with his quick wing beats. Both pokemon and trainer watched as their opponent recalled the defeated blue mouse, calling out another rodent. It looked like a mouse as well, small with a wiggling nose.
It wasn't perhaps a moment later when the trainer commanded her rodent to attack. Unfortunately, Belphegor was having none of it. Strong wing beat lifted him as he swirled around the charging pokemon. "Good Belphegor. Cut the Air."[/font] Whether he was super happy at the moment or just in an obeying mood, her zubat did as commanded. His small wings sliced at the air, sending thin slices of air at the new offender.

Seria shuddered in frustration, it seemed like she just couldn't take down this goddang Zubat. Carrie missed the attack, but then again, Seria didn't know that Slam was just generally an inaccurate attack. Meanwhile, the bat looked increasingly more pleased with itself, and the girl ordered her Pokemon to use Air Cutter in order to strike at the Mincinno. The sharp blades of air struck deep into the rodent, causing her to flinch and recoil somewhat, though she quickly regained her composure. That single attack stung quite a fair bit, but it wasn't necessarily enough to take her down. Maybe one or two more attacks would do it, but Seria hoped to take down the Zubat before that became a problem.
"Do your best, Carrie! Try and Slam her again!" Seria commanded as the Mincinno nodded and charged forward again into the bat, trying once again to collide into it with her body. Seria hoped that the attack would connect this time. If it didn't, she would be very annoyed. Probably upset, even.

Well, she was winning so far. That was enough to make her feel giddy inside. Who would've known that the 'hindrance' of the caves would be the bane of life on the battlefield? Kyrie certainly believed now. Even if she didn't have full control over most of them.
Again the rodent was going to try and smash him. Full of himself, Belphgor thought he was able to dodge 'such predictable attacks'. That didn't happen. He moved to 'dodge' and ended up smashed in the body. His lightweight body was pushed backward, barely managing to save himself from the ground. That was the worst place for a zubat, seeing as they didn't actually have 'legs'.
As if reading his mind, Kyrie gave the command to go up; more or less just pointing to the sky about to say 'fly' before the bat himself pounded at the air. Up, up, up and away he went. Far away from the dreaded ground and it's measly inhabitants. Even the humans could tell the zubat was scoffing at them from up above, Kyrie did. "Well then." She 'hmphed', placing both hands into the pockets of her jacket.
Action: Fly, is currently in the air.

Seria groaned in frustration as despite the attack connecting, the Zubat was, by all miracles, still alive. She sighed and eyed her opponent. She didn't seem very nice at all. Trying to swallow her further annoyance, she saw how the Zubat attempted to Fly again. Carrie would probably be able to take that attack, but definitely not the one after. It was up to her to launch a decisive attack that would hit and seal the deal. It would be really infurating if that stupid godfreaking Zubat survived a third Slam attack. Seria didn't want to lose like this. Antenora, who had been watching the whole time, made a soft sound as if trying to quell Seria's annoyance.
"...Guh... Carrie, just be on the guard... Counter with Slam when that stupid Zubat comes down. But for now, stay down and be on guard. After them."
