All Around the Babiri Bush [Berries]

Luckily the orchard was just a hop skip and a jump away from Crispin's dorm.  Not having to travel for to pick some berries gave him plenty more time to do other things.  Jove sat in his little hair nest, humming quietly to himself while his Trainer and the Snubbull walked through the bushes, picking any of the ripe berries they could see.  There were plenty in the patch to chose from, and Crispen had to keep an eye on Cilla to stop her from eating rather than picking.  "I'll get ye summit te eat when we get back, a'right?"  The Snubbull stopped with a berry halfway to her mouth, eyeing him skeptically.  If he said so... she nodded, handing it to him instead.  He grinned, pretending to eat it after he took it.  She stared in disbelief, barking at him briefly before he laughed, showing it was still in his hand.  The little dog was just too gullible, he couldn't help picking on her.

Before too long, Crispin found himself out in the woods again.  He had Jove in his Pokeball for once, since this time he wanted to take Wesley out for some fresh air.  The poor Skiddo still seemed terrified of the bug, and he didn't want to stress him out more than necessary.  He needed his Pokemon fighting each other all the time about as much as he needed a bullet to the head.  At the very least, the grass Pokemon was beginning to warm up to his trainer more and more.  It made him glad to see that he didn't seem petrified of him, but at the same time it was obvious he still seemed skeptical.  A part of Crispin was concerned with the fact that the only reason Wesley didn't run screaming was because of the Pokeball that kept him in place.  Still, it gave him the chance he needed to prove to him he could be happy in his team.  What better bonding experience than gathering some treats?

Back to picking once again. His haul from last week proved to be invaluable, the Lum berry he picked saving his butt in the fight with Tanya. It was a close enough fight as it was─if it wasn’t for that, he would’ve lost it completely. So, once again he was walking through the orchard, hoping to get some more useful goodies to help in future fights. He and his Galvantula hat hummed happily as they walked, picking up whatever they could find that seemed even moderately useful, shoving it into Crispin’s bag to examine back at the dorm.
 The more things they grabbed the better; there was literally no reason not to grab whatever they could manage to carry.

Once again Crispin found that the berries he picked proved more than useful, so it only made sense for him to try to get as many as he could carry.  He found some helped more than others, but even the 'useless' ones were able to be sold for something, which was nice.  Walking through the orchard with Jove sitting on his head and Emer at his side, he smiled down at the smaller Pokemon (as well as he could without making Jove fall, of course).  He still felt terrible for the little Skitty, throwing her into battle just to be knocked out so quickly.  Still, she had helped tremendously, even just briefly.  Now he just had to try and make it up to her.

Walking through the woods with the Skitty Emer in his arms, Crispin plucked whatever Berries he could nab and shove into his pockets.  Emer was sitting happily with her eyes closed and a soft purr constantly coming from her chest.  He was glad that despite their battles that she didn't fare well during, she didn't seem to hold it against him.  It may have been partly to due to the fact that he tried his best to spoil her rotten to make up for her constantly being sent out at the worst moments in battle.  Whatever the cause for it, the Skitty was happy and didn't mind being carried around while the two scavenged for berries, so it all worked out.

It felt like almost all he was doing lately was picking berries.  Not that there was anything inherently wrong with that, of course, but it could grow tedious after a while.  Lola skipped about at his side, digging through all of the bushes she could.  It seemed like it made quite the difference from her previous home, and from what he could tell the little poison rabbit was enamored with her new home in the Nature dorm.  He was glad, for once the newest member of his team wasn't completely scarred by joining them.  Watching her with a little chuckle as she hopped around the orchard, he picked whatever berries seemed ripest to shove into his bag for later.
