Into the Battleground [Sonia/Battle]

Another day, another battle as they say. Having won one match and lost her first, Kyrie was evening out her odds back to zero and thus here she was again all signed up for another random battle. She wasn't usually this stubborn about it, must've been the gamer spirit in her. In any case, this time she wanted to at least get a score in something. Didn't matter if she lost or won, she just wanted to be out of the fifty-fifty range. It was like someone having to have peanut butter with their jelly sandwich, it just had to happen. Kyrie found herself at the entrance to the arena's battle area, waiting patiently till they matched her up with some other random student. Mammon sat on her shoulder as usual, grooming her head for some reason; until she was called up once more.
Kyrie walked through the path till she was in the battleground. Third time here and it still had that weird feeling, like someone in poke-suit walking into a supermarket. It just didn't match. Awkwardly, Kyrie marched on up to her square - watching the other side of the arena for her opponent. Kyrie would've been a weird sight at the moment despite her rather serious mood at the moment, with Mammon still grooming her hair and clinging to her head like some sort of monkey.
Party: zubat, shuppet, vanillite

Sonia stepped into the battle dome, only to stop and look around. It was quite a bit bigger than she had originally thought it would be. She was much more fascinated by the scenery, being a giant dome than the fact that this was her first ever formal battle. She looked ahead, noting her opponent. It was a Mana dormer. I'll be your opponent for this fight. My name is Sonia, Bolt Dorm. Being in her first official fight, Sonia was a little anxious. She honestly wasn't sure what to expect either. The results could be anything. It was just a simple three against three match. She carefully picked out which three she would bring, of course. It wouldn't be good to be blown out on her first battle after all. Party: Lairon, Growlithe, Totodile Growlithe, Kangaskhan eggs +1

It wasn't long for her opponent to appear. Another Bolt Dorm, same dorm as Oleg her first match-up; only this time she was a girl. She looked like one of the shinier types of people, the ones who could bulldoze through life with a smile on their face like some kind of shiny demon. "Kyrie Vyler. Mana Dorm." the Mana girl complied, grabbing a random ball from three out of her pocket. A single light toss and out came a shuppet. Leviathan merely stared at the girl, waiting for her to summon her pokemon while he swayed from side to side in ghostly glory. Both waited for the girl to make the first move, something they probably shouldn't do considering they knew nothing about her. Especially sine Bolt Dorm kids often had pokemon that would make Kyrie cringe at the very sight of them.

The girl introduced herself as Kyrie, keeping it simple otherwise. That was fine of course. They were here to do battle, not make small talk. Despite trying, Sonia couldn't really get a good read on the girl's persona. It wasn't easy trying to read someone off of two short statements. Well, she was cute. Sonia was certain of that. Then then, let's get right into it, shall we? Nestor come out! Tossing a Pokeball ahead of her, the little Totodile that she went to so much effort to catch popped out. It circled around a bit, taking in all of the scenery of the dome. It was just a normal dome, sure. But Nestor couldn't help but love it. He ended up circling around a bit until he finally tripped. Getting up a moment later, he finally focused on the enemy ahead.
Guess we'll open up. Nestor, Waterfall! Hearing its first order, Nestor charged at the enemy Shuppet before propelling itself with water, hoping to land the hit. This would be Nestor's first ever battle. Sonia could only hope she was right that she picked up a champ when she caught him. Eggs +1 Action: Waterfall BP 80 + STAB Flinch Roll (20%) y_VJCHL31-51-5

Out came the rival pokemon, a little blue gator who Kyrie knew for a fact grew up into a really big and scary gator. She let out a sigh of relief knowing her pokemon were not going to face such a monster today. As prompted the other girl ordered her pokemon to attack. Leviathan braced itself for impact when the totodile launched itself at him, feeling the brunt and pain of the attack in all it's might. Still he was able to survive without cringing in pain which was good. "Counter with Sucker Punch." Kyrie commanded. Leviathan obeyed, slowly going forward before fading only to appear with an armless punch aimed at the other pokemon's noggin.
The water attack that Leviathan had lived through battered him pretty badly with his lack of any real defense. Unlike his trainer who knew almost nothing about the being of her pokemon, Leviathan was fairly sure he wouldn't be able to take another one of those Waterfalls head on again.
Action: Sucker Punch, BP 80, BA 75, 100% accuracy.

The attack landed without too much worry. It was a solid hit coupled by the fact that Totodile was a water type himself. Following that hit, the Shuppet seemed to counter with a Sucker Punch. Jabbing Nestor in the side, little Pokemon slid back as it awaited another order. Hit it with Waterfall again! Do it! Nodding, the little Pokemon went back in with the same amount of ferocity and propelled itself at the ghost type Pokemon. The enemy didn't seem like it was very sturdy in the first place. That was based on looks anyway. It reminded Sonia of a floating Rag more than anything. Well, whatever. It wasn't going to float once she was done with it. Again the little dile charged at Leviathan, somehow managing to pressurize water behind itself as it shot itself at him. It was weird how water pokemon could do that, summon water from nowhere. She had once seen a swampert use Surf in the middle of the city when there was no water around, lots of close quartered people got splashed. Alas, being the delicate cloth that he was, Leviathan could withstand the second impact and flew backward until he landed right in front of his trainer, fainted. Wincing, Kyrie withdrew him, this time summoning out Belphegor her zubat.
The bat was a little troll king in his last battle, hopefully he would be as lucky this time around as well. "Belphegor, Fly." she commanded, pointing upward toward the sky. Already full of confidence the bat did as commanded, pounding his wings till he was high up in the sky.
Action: Fly, is currently in the sky.

With that attack done, Sonia watched as the little Shuppet fell to the ground where it was recalled by its trainer. In return, the girl sent out a new Pokemon. A Zubat, which anyone who has ever explored a cave should know about. After sending it out, Kyrie called out a move to use. It was as simple in name as it was in use. Fly. The thing about the move was that it was taking a bit of time to use. Perhaps this was a good opportunity to take advantage of such a situation? Nestor, return! Rather than have Nestor take the attack, she figured it might have been wise to switch to something that would take the hit better. Strelka, come out! Prepare to take that hit. The quadrupedal monster made of metal stepped out onto the field with a loud thump sound. It was ready to fight. Sonia figured that she would be able to take the hit a lot better than Nestor would. +1 Eggs Action: Switch out to Lairon

Kyrie vocally yelped at the metal monster that replaced the much cuter totodile. Visibly jumping and taking a few steps back, the girl could only stare at the giant metal turtle. That's what it looked like to her. A giant metal turtle with some very sharp teeth. She didn't really know how the typings went only that she was fairly sure no one on her team, except maybe Beezlebub could possibly take that monster on. Unfortunately, she didn't have Beezlebub for this fight. Nope, she had a puny little bat who was now hopelessly diving at that, that... thing; and an ice cream who she was more than sure was going to start crying at the very sight of it. Woe is her, already Kyrie felt herself losing.
Down, down, down the zubat went aiming to smash his undoubtly much more delicate head against a steel monster. Kyrie covered her eyes as he quickly came down... she couldn't bare to watch this.

As the attack from the Zubat finally came down, Sonia watched as Strelka simply shrugged off the attack for the most part. It was highly ineffective it seemed. This was good for her of course. Very good. Alright Strelka, Head Smash. Ram into that Zubat! The Lairon charged in, making a lot of noise while doing so. Its target? The tiny Zubat in front of it. Just how much of a punch could a Zubat take, anyway?
Well for that matter, how much of a hit could Strelka take? Thanks to its ability, it wouldn't be taking any recoil from Head Smash. Under normal circumstances, it would have been a huge pain. Literally. Eggs +1 Action: Head Smash Accuracy 80% (1-5) APgZww4t1-51-5

Survival! That trollbat managed to suvive headbombing into that tank of a pokemon. Kyrie felt herself breath a sigh of relief, sagging to her knees as the zubat bounced off and flittered about. He let out an angry screech, wondering why his maginificent dive did almost absolutely nothing the steel-type. Then came the attack, the attack that made Kyrie almost have a heart attack.
It was noisy, big, and coming staight at the bat. A bit dizzy and light headed from his earlier dive bomb, Belphegor almost managed to get hit by the iron rhino. Almost. But no, that trollbat had some serious luck and survival skills. Mostly just luck. "Quickly Belphegor, bite!" Diving out of the way of the rhino just to come back up on it, the bat prepared his fangs for what could've a painful bite (to himself) against the iron hide.

Sonia's look of eager anticipation quickly diminished to one of slight disappointment. Her Pokemon's attack missed! What were the chances of that happening? In return, it seems that the bat decided to bite back. It sent its jaws into Strelka's metal hide. Sonia couldn't be so sure as to how effective it was though. At the very least, it didn't seem like the attack was resisted. Strelka, try one more time! You've got this. Hearing its trainer's words, the Lairon made a dash for the enemy. Hopefully this time, it would produce a hit rather than a fatal miss. If it just kept missing, she might fall behind in the battle. +1 Eggs Action: Head Smash 150 BP + Stab Accuracy Roll fnwzRBZI1-51-5

Kyrie held her breath as the bat attached his teeth to the other's metal hide. Barely managing a grip when he was shaken off for another one of those rhino rushes. She prayed that he'd be able to move out of the way this time, but it was to no avail - his much smaller and frailer was smashed into, sent flying to the other side of the battlefield. The bat groaned, tried to get himself off the ground but all to no avail. He was down, downed by one scary rhino pokemon who one hit killed him. Kyrie couldn't hide her blue face even if she wanted to.
Gulping, Kyrie returned the bashed bat, sending out her last little baby. Belias the vanillite who quite literally screamed at the sight of his opponent. He tried to flee, hop away to dear, dear safety but the look Mammon gave him kept him where he was. The poor thing was in a cold sweat, too afraid to even cry. "Survive Belias, let it Hail." The little pokemon hesitated, eyes wide as he did a little shake before the Hail began to run down.
Action: Zubat fainted, called out vanillite. Used Hail, area move.

Sonia watched as the second Pokemon that the girl sent out was pummeled down. That was two Pokemon she had defeated. And the third one? It looked too terrified to battle. It opened up with a weather move. That was something that could wear down an opponent, sure. But when her Pokemon were capable of downing the others in one hit? They were going to need more than that. Strelka return. Good job. Sonia decided to end this with her third Pokemon rather than blast that small ice Pokemon with another Head Smash. Dasha, come on out. Sonia instead sent out her Growlithe to continue the battle. She had come here to get her Pokemon more practice after all. She wanted each of them to have a turn. Though, Sonia was suddenly a bit hesitant to end the battle and kill the little ice cream. +1 Eggs Action: Switch to Growlithe

If arceus was ever to watch a battle, it must've been watching this one. Little ice cream versus steel monster? Nope, Kyrie had sighed with relief when the other girl recalled that monster back, only to release a growlithe. A little fire dog.
...
Nope, arceus wasn't watching this one. If it was, it was probably trolling her at this rate. With the hail going on and Belias lacking any real moves that could take out either that steel monster or this fire dog, she knew she was pretty much screwed. Still, best to go down fighting right?
"Alright Belias, pray for mercy. Mirror Shot." The vanillite did just that. Pray for mercy. He also attacked but mostly just prayed for sweet mercy.
Action: Mirror Shot, BP 65, BSA 65, 85% accuracy
