"Thank you, Louis" Angeletta told her Piplup gratefully as the little penguin-like Pokemon sprayed the trainer and his fellow starter Pokemon with gentle splashes of water. Titania let out a cheery cry of her name rushing over to nuzzle at the Piplup to show her appreciation. Louis stood tall, proud to be of help to the two girls and continued his prideful stature as the trio continued their way up Mount Magmadyne. According to the map, Mt. Magmadyne was the tallest mountain dwelling on Harmonia Island which was the reason why Lettie and her Pokemon were currently trekking along the path leading up the mountain. The fact that it was the tallest mountain on the island had naturally tugged at Lettie's curiosity and the moment she had found free time from school, she had journeyed her way towards the mountains and past the Lava Dorms.

Raising her arms over her head in a stretch, she looked down at her two starter Pokemon who were walking alongside her. With a small smile she silently signaled the duo to stop. "Why don't we rest for a moment? We have been walking for a while, after all" the young lady told the Eevee and Piplup in a pleasant manner. Titania smiled happily at the idea and instantly walked towards a rock and sat beside it, waiting for Louis and Lettie to join her. The female trainer walked to where her Eevee sat and seated herself on the rock, Louis hopping on over to join her.

"Just a moment you two..." the teenager was rummaging into the contents of her bag before pulling out Ziploc which was filled with Poke Puffs. Sniffing at the air, Titania hopped on Lettie's lap, her chocolate brown eyes glued to the treats that her trainer was holding. Louis was also staring at the Poke Puffs, his mouth open in wonder. Laughing lightly at her Pokemon's reaction, she opened the bag and gave them one each. "There you two go" she stated after she placed one Poke Puff before them. Titania and Louis instantly began eating the treat, apparently having enjoyed them so much that macaroon-like sweet was gone in seconds. "Goodness, you two really like them. I should probably give one to Qianlong as well..." Before Lettie could even reach for the Mienfoo's Poke Ball, however, she noticed a wild Pokemon stood a few feet away from them. Whether it was lured here by the Poke Puffs aroma or had simply wandered their way by random, Lettie wasn't sure.

"I suppose that will have to wait then" the young girl said to herself with a small smile as she stood from her rock to better observe the wild Pokemon.

Angeletta, Titania and Louis watched as the Pansear approached them, carrying a bundle of berries in its arms. It glanced at the trio before continuing on its way to Arceus knew where. Apparently the Fire monkey-like Pokemon had its own mission to pursue, a kind of mission that involved bundles of berries. Whatever the case was, the Pansear did not even give the trio a second glance back, signaling to Lettie that it was not in the mood to battle nor did it feel like being caught. Louis gazed longingly at the berries in the Pansear's arms before the monkey Pokemon disappeared from view. The Pokemon duo and trainer looked at one another before shrugging.

"Let's continue on our way then" Lettie told her Pokemon to which the Eevee and Piplup nodded in agreement. The three continued along the path of Mount Magmadyne wondering what Pokemon they would cross paths with next.

As the trio continued forward, Lettie was halted in her tracks the moment another wild Pokemon appeared. Not just any wild Pokemon, however, a Ponyta. She couldn't help but stop and stare at the pony-like Pokemon, her memories of her beloved Fire Starter flashing back in her mind. Titania and Louis stopped on either side of their trainer, peering up at her to see what was causing her delay in reactions. Having spent so much time with Fire Starter and the other Ponyta at the Mercier Stables, Lettie was automatically able to identify that this particular Ponyta was female. She watched as the wild Ponyta lowered her head to reach some grass that was at its feet, her dark eyes flickering towards the trainer and her two Pokemon as she did so.

While she knew that this Ponyta was no Fire Starter, she couldn't escape the fact that Ponyta intrigued her and reminded her of home. With that thought in mind, she knew what she wanted to do. Giving a polite curtsy towards the Ponyta, Lettie smiled gently. "If you don't mind Miss Ponyta...I'd like to have a battle in order to capture you."

The Ponyta surveyed the trainer with her dark eyes before stepping in front of Lettie and her team, silently telling the trainer that she accepted the challenge. A smile formed on Lettie's lips at this and she called upon Louis to enter the battlefield. After all, the little penguin Pokemon had quite the advantage over the majestic Ponyta. Titania jumped into Lettie's arms, her chocolate brown eyes observing the battle before her with intense interest. "Are you ready, Louis?" Lettie called out to her Piplup who responded with a determined recital of his name.

The moment Louis stepped onto the field and readied himself, the Ponyta came charging at the penguin Pokemon, startling him.

Lettie observed the horse Pokemon's motions before realizing just what attack she was planning to use. "She's going to use Stomp on you! Dodge it Louis!" the trainer warned her Pokemon.

Louis attempted to dodge the attack but the Ponyta's speed was no match for him as she kicked her hooves right at the Piplup resulting in the penguin to skid against the mountain's path from the attack. Steadily getting back to his feet, Louis let out what sounded like a complaint, placing his flippers on his hips. At Louis' reaction to the attack, Titania let out a sigh before looking up at Lettie who gave the Eevee a small smile. "He is...proud, after all" she told the fox-like creature.

"Louis, Bubble Beam!" she commanded to which the Piplup who was in mid-lecture, reacted to the command at a later time resulting in the Ponyta to easily dodge the oncoming attack. Body covered in flames, the pony Pokemon came charging at Louis, intent on using a Flame Wheel attack. Recognizing the attack from all the times she spent training Fire Starter with her grandmother, Lettie gave a warning shout to Louis. The difference in speed between the Piplup and Ponyta made it impossible for Louis to truly dodge it.

"It's Flame Wheel! Brace yourself Louis!"

Considering the fact that Flame Wheel was a Fire type move which had little effect on a Water type, Louis was able to brace the hit with little damage.

"She's close now! Bubble Beam!"

Mere seconds after the Ponyta had stricken the Piplup with her Flame Wheel, Louis used this to his advantage, opening his beak and spraying powerful bubble-shaped beams at the horse Pokemon. Taking the full blow of the super effective attack, the Ponyta fell to the ground, her flaming mane burning slightly lower than before. She was weakened.

Lettie took out an Academy ball from her pocket and threw the sphere at the Ponyta. A flashing light sucked the majestic horse Pokemon into the sphere's depths before landing back onto the earth, wriggling vigorously while the trainer and two Pokemon awaited the outcome of the capture.
