After saving up a bit of the earnings he'd gathered since his time here, he decided to invest. He had heard scattered rumors of the different goodies he could gather with this kit now that he had it. Sure there was work involved, but hey, it should be worth it in the end. Even if his first couple trips were fruitless, after time he should be able to get his moneys worth─and then some! Valdis walked at his side, providing occasional puffs of flame to light their way through the caves. Deciding the spot he was at now was a good a place as any, he sat down his kit and pulled out a few tools. It was about time to get to work.

Once again Valdis trotted happily next to him, lighting their way as they walked. It was true his last trip didn't provide anything spectacular, but it was at least something he was able to sell towards something else useful. Enough of those and he would at least make his money back before too much longer, and then after that, profit! Still, he admitted it was a little disheartening not getting anything overly useful. He quietly mused that maybe he would hit it big and be set for life, and chuckled at himself. Valdis looked at him curiously, wondering just what on earth her person was laughing about here in the middle of a cave.

Considering last time in one swoop he had made a profit back from the Mining kit, it was all up from here on out. He was thrilled for the chance to come back considering how helpful it had proven to be, he certainly didn't mind taking every chance he got to dig through the dirt if it proved to be as fruitful as it was last time. Hell, even if it wasn't anything he'd get now would be profit, so there was nothing to lose! Cecilla walked at his side, helping dig with every chance she got. Despite her stubborn nature, she loved the chance to just dig around aimlessly if Crispin would allow it.

Crispin almost felt like he was going through school on auto-pilot as of late. He knew he needed to get back into the swing of things best he could, otherwise what would have been the point in enrolling in school? In the spirit of getting caught back up, he figured what better way then try to make some more money. Heading back out to the mines with his trusty flashlight/demon dog and little Lola in tow, he got to work. It may have been grueling, but at least it was more exciting than fishing could ever hope to be.
