This battle really was turning out to be something really worth watching. Her mind was working overdrive in order to calculate everything that was happening. This was the type of battle Tanya loved. When both matches were equally matched. It was a fight of spirit and she could help but get really excited about that.

She was glad that her opponent was a good battler, much better than she first assumed. When she changed her pokemon once again, Tanya began doing calculations. Pichu had no defense. At all. One attack was probably all it took to defeat her. She might as well make this move count. It might affect how she battled with Daniella, but she was ready to make the changes.

"It ain't all about strength! I'll show you what I mean! Christina, stop the Munchlax in his tracks with Thunder Wave!" Tanya shouted, knowing that she might as well get the most out of her pokemon. 

Christina started charging up electricity in her cheeks, scrunching into a ball as blue electricity started jumping out of her. She then launched the electricity stored in her cheeks, a weak jolt that hit the Munchlax and paralyzed him, causing the next few moves to be based on chance. When Christina successfully hit the pokemon, she jumped high into the air and let out a happy sound, cheerful that she was able to help out her trainer.

Action: Christina used Thunder Wave. 100% accuracy. Paralyzes Munchlax

Frowning: Amanda studied the small PAR icon that appeared on her Pokedex. She had assumed that an electric Pokemon would have some for of Paralyzing ability: yet, not one that would affect her that fast. It was a lesson; she reasoned: that she needed to learn. Direct damage and power were vital, but it certainly did not hold up if one could expertly inflict status conditions of the opponent, crippling their moveset.

In this situation, it wasn't quite as vital though. Shabboneau was a slow mover anyways: and the sparks running alongside his body didn't seem to do more than tickle him. Besides: all he needed to do was land a single move.

''Shabboneau!'' Amanda commanded: ''Use Earthquake!''

Munchlax used Earthquake. Accuracy 100%. Base damage 100 x2 weakness bonus = 200 Dama-yeah Pichu can't survive if this lands.

Tanya shrugged when the Munchlax was able to get the Earthquake off. She wasn't really expecting Christina to survive the attack. Indeed, as soon as she landed, the earthquake caused her to fly into the air and then fall flat on her face, instantly knocking her out.

"You did your best Christina. That's all that matters to me." Tanya called out, returning Christina to her pokeball. At least she was able to do something. Tanya knew that she could still win this fight. All she needed to do was be smart about it.

"Come on back Daniella! Use Psychic!" Tanya yelled, spinning once more as she through her pokeball into the air. At the apex of the throw, the pokeball opened and released Daniella. As she descended onto the battlefield, her eyes began glowing as she used her psychic powers to chuck the Munchlax around the battlefield.

Action: Returned Knocked out Christina and called out Daniella the Munna. Used Psychic. 100% Accuracy. 90 + 45 = 135 Base Power. 67 Special Attack.

Triumphantly: Amanda let out a soft lady-like cheer for her Munchlax.

''Excellent work Shabboneau! As befitting a proper gentleman!''

The Munchlax turned his head around, letting out a happy growl of appreciation: somewhat surprise at how easy it had been to defeat the Pichu. Turning back to his opponent, he narrowed his eyes. Only for the Psychic energy to launch him into the wall, only barely harming the thick-skinned Pokemon.

Amanda grinned, the battle was now in her favor. All she needed to do was defeat the Munna, and the victory would be hers!

Tanya's face turned to concern when she realized how little damage the psychic did to the Munchlax. It was true that they were known for their bulk, but she didn't expect it to be this strong. She knew that things were getting tough, but she wasn't going to give up that easily.

Unfortunately, the paralysis didn't seem to be working as well as she had wanted it to. Once again, the Munchlax managed to get off an earthquake, causing the Munna to float in the air and smash into the ground. Luckily enough though, it didn't seem to do too much damage on her as she soon floated back up into position.

"Don't lose heart! Attack with Psychic!" Tanya commanded, Christina looking at her trainer before slowly looking back at her opponent. Once again, she started to glow bright as her psychic powers were used once more to fling the Munchlax around. It was like a battle of attrition. She still had a chance to win this.

Action: Daniella used Psychic. 100% Accuracy. 90 + 45 = 135 Base Power. 67 Special Attack.

Yet once more: the psychic attack seemed to do little damage. Yet that was no longer the primary cause for concern on Amandas part. Although she was still in a good position, there were factors that could quickly turn that around. Earthquake for one: simply did not do as much damage to a non-electric Pokemon as she would have liked.

Scrolling through the information on her Pokedex, Amanda chuckled as she found something that would. Sometimes: relying on TM's was a bit of a mistake when the natural talents of the Pokemon could do so much better.

''Switch it up Shabboneau, Use Body-Slam!''

With a grunt the Munchlax leaped into the air, homing in on the Munna.

When Munchlax was able to get off one last attack, Tanya knew that the match was over. Indeed, as the pokemon smashed into the Munna, she fell out of the air and promptly crashed fast first into the ground, knocking her out and ending the battle between the two.

"Now that was a superb battle!" Tanya exclaimed, returning Daniella to her pokeball and running towards the other side of the arena. Any animosity she had towards her slipped away after the battle as she gave an upbeat and friendly smile.

"You're pokemon are super impressive! Especially that Shiny Makuhita! Where did you get that?" Tanya quickly said, assulting her opponent with words due to the exhilaration she felt from the battle.

"Congrats on the victory! That was an awesome battle!" Tanya congratulated, holding out her hand for the other trainer to shake.

Amanda cheered her Pokemon on as Shabboneau landed the decisive blow. Any trace of anxiety she had at the start of the day had been near entirely alleviated. Beaming: she recalled her Pokemon, gently stashing him in her purse alongside the other two. With a relived sigh, she accepted Tanyas hand, shaking it cheerfully.

''Merci, et toi!'' she replied, bowing gracefully as she was taught. ''Thank you for a wonderful battle!''

Feeling a bit more relaxed, Amanda stretched: listening as her opponent assaulted her with words. ''Well...'' she began: ''I caught him near the peak of Mount Brave, I would be quite happy to show you!'' she giggled; bringing her arms back down. ''Still, for such a fine battle, there must be an apres-battle, oui? Would you care to get some lunch?''

It was a good day.

"Shiny pokemon are so rare! I'll admit that I'm pretty jealous that you have one." Tanya admitted, sticking out her tongue playfully. Her time with Amanda proved to be a great one as she was invigorated to do her best.

"I need to challenge you again sometime! This team I'm using is comprised with pokemon I'm training at the moment. I have yet to show you what potential I really have!" Tanya told her in a challenging tone. She wanted to face this girl with her team at full power. She wasn't going to give up.

"As for your offer, I'll be up for that. It should be fun to hang out." Tanya responded, giving a radiant grin to her former opponent.

''It was mere fortune that I captured a shiny, but perhaps that fortune was for the better: as Fisto is one of the most loyal companions I could have hoped for.'' Amanda responded, smiling slyly at the reactions of the other girl.

Amanda nodded, grinning. ''And I will gladly accept when the time comes! Our Pokemon are amazing even now, I could only hope to see what feats they can accomplish at the peak of their power.'' It was a challenge, and Amanda would be loathe to decline it.

''Very well, let us be off then!'' she giggled, mentally going through all the places where they could possibly eat.
