Carefully: Amanda tip-toed through the ancient dilapidated ruins, taking in all the sights with a sense of wonder and amazement one could only develop from an intense fascination with history. This truly was a beautiful place, and she did not regret coming here.
It hadn't been a difficult decision to make: when Amanda: historical nut that she was. Heard of the ancient palace within walking distance, of course she needed to see it for herself. She wasn't disappointed by what she saw either; pacing through the abandoned hallways reverently, mentally comparing the design and architecture with those she was familiar with back home. Almost, she had wished that she had considered to bring a camera with her, but as she gazed upon the moss covered walls and heard sounds echoing through the stairwells: she reasoned that was probably for the best.
For where there were abandoned castles and haunted mansions: there were ghosts and other rare Pokemon. Amanda simply could not come to such a place and be willing to leave without a souvenir.

Amanda giggled at the sight suddenly before her: it seemed at first to be a floating sock. While closer inspection showed it to be a Shuppet, the girl couldn't help but smile. The Pokemon was simply so very adorable!
Nodding politely at the Shuppet, Amanda walked onward. Humming softly as she continued to contemplate the nature of the palace she was in. Although the place was indeed ancient and full of ghosts. She couldn't help but wonder how it had reached such a horrendous state of disrepair. In Kalos, most of the cultural buildings were preserved and still maintained. Yet in the Hoenn region: ruins were everywhere. She wondered why that was.
Amanda has passed on the adorable Shuppet.

A quiet barking sound alterted Amanda to: what seemed to be on closer inspection, a puppy. Curious, the young lady withdrew her Pokedex, scanning the strange Pokemon.
''Poochyena, the Bite Pokémon. Poochyena is the pre-evolved form of Mightyena. Its biting strength is superior to other Pokémon, and has the endurance to chase opponents down until completely exhausted.''
Pondering for a moment: she shook her head and pocketed the Pokedex, ignoring the yapping puppy as she continued. Certainly, it was also cute: but it didn't seem like the sort of Pokemon she would want to use in battle. Perhaps she could find a nice ghost deeper in the mansion.
Amanda has passed on the arfing Poochyena.

A soft humming sound drew Amandas attention to an adjacent room. Peeking inside: she could see the sound was emanating from a calm-looking Lunatone. Entering inside, she quickly drew her Pokedex once more: scanning the wild Pokemon. ''Lunatone, the Meteorite Pokémon. Lunatone is believed by some people to have come from outer space. It moves around most actively during full moons and its powerful red eyes instill fear into anyone who beholds them.''It sounded like an interesting Pokemon, at least one that could suit her team. Gingerly, she withdrew a Pokeball from her purse: tossing it onto the floor. A flash of light, and before her stood Fisto. Battle!:  VS  ''Alright Fisto...'' Amanda began: gesturing towards the wild Lunatone. ''Take it down: use Heavy Slam!''
The Makuhita nodded, lunging towards the floating moon: throwing his entire weight into it. Although the Moon was flung into the wall from the force. Jenny could tell from her Pokedex that the move was less effective than it could have been. Even though the type advantage was hers; it seemed that the Lunatone simply weighed too much. Glaring in turn, the Lunatone sprung from the wall: flying towards the Makuhita as it glowed. Using it's psychic abilities to tear chunks from the wall: throwing them at the Shiny. The Makuhita smashed through the rocks: grinning wildly at the battle. With a prideful roar: he lunged into the Lunatone yet again, knocking the moon across. Desperately, Lunatone continued to tear and throw chunks at the Makuhita, only for the fighter to continue smashing through or dodging the rocks. Punishing each attempt to harm him with yet another slam. Slowly, the health of the Lunatone dropped lower and lower. Suddenlly, a blast of light emanated from the Lunatone. As it charged it's energy: releasing forth a beam of moonlight that struck Fisto directly. Amanda gasped: the indicator on her Pokedex flashing as Fisto was reduced to a sliver of health. Unfortunately for the Lunatone: Fisto reversed his position and slammed an elbow into it. Sending it crashing into a nearby decaying table with a power brought forth from desperation. In response: Amanda quickly tossed a ball at the Lunatone; hoping that she could capture it. {Battle Log}
