FOOTPRINTS IN THE GOLDEN SAND [MOD]

[Lilith Sinclaire]

Lilith entered the warm location known as Blazed Dunes. She held a purple parasol in her dainty hands to protect herself from the intense heat and the brilliant sun rays. Walking across the warm, golden desert sand while looking up at the amazing colors of the sky truly memorized her the young, raven-haired beauty for a couple of minutes. Meanwhile, her energetic Vulpix enjoyed the feeling of her tiny paws running against the warm sand. "Don't run off to far ahead of me, Persephone!" She called out to her Pokemon, a soft smile touching her lips as she watched her Pokemon enjoy the warm presence of the desert. Lilith decided to visit Blazed Dunes in hopes of finding some unique Pokemon that could only live within the depths of the desert, as well as to give her Vulpix a little freedom to room around her old homelands instead of being cooped up inside of her small dorm. Unfortunately for Lilith and Persephone, there didn't seem to be any Wild Pokemon out playing in the blazing sand.

[Lilith Sinclaire]

The warm ground underneath their feet without the slightest warning. "Persephone!" Lilith called out to her Pokemon,as she dropped her parasol and held her arms out for her fire fox Pokemon to jump into them. The Vulpix didn't waste into time leaping into her trainer's safe arms. "Just hold on! I'm sure that whatever this is will come to an end soon!" She stated over the loud noise of the ground shaking. She wasn't too sure, but she believed that the actions happening right before their eyes was being caused by a Pokemon living within the desert. Little did Lilith know that her theory was about to be proven correctly within a few seconds. A gigantic rock snake Pokemon swiftly emerged from underneath the ground, greeting the duo with a cold glare and monstrous roar. Lilith dropped down to her knees and clung her Pokemon with her dainty arms. She could feel her heart starting to race a bit, as the Onix continued to glare at her. She would glare back at the rock Pokemon, a bit of fear hiding deep behind her sapphire orbs. She knew that her Pokemon wouldn't be able to take down an Onix along. Therefore, she hoped that the Wild Pokemon wouldn't attack them. The Wild Pokemon must have felt the trainer's fear and instead of attacking the trainer and her Pokemon, she simply dug back into the ground to make an exit. A soft sigh escaped from Lilith's lips, as she watched the Pokemon flee. "That was close..." She stated, placing her Vulpix back down onto the ground, then picking up her parasol. "Let's hope that we won't run into another Onix while we're here." She added, leading the way through the dusty path again.

After almost passing out from unexpected run in with a Wild Onix, Lilith and Persephone continued their journey through the desert. It wasn't long before the duo soon approached a group of Cacnea dancing about along the dusty path. The grass Pokemon seem to have capture Persephone attention as she started prancing toward the cactus Pokemon. "Persephone, come back! You do not want to startle those Cacnea! Trust me, though needles can be quite painful!" She warned her Pokemon. Luckily, the Vulpix trusted her trainer's instincts and decided against walking over to play with the dancing Cacnea. "Let's keep looking. I'm pretty sure that one of the Pokemon that I want to add to our team lives within this desert somewhere." She added, choosing the opposite path leading away from the Cacnea.

The duo continued to search the desert long, and hard in hopes of finding the unique Pokemon that Lilith was expecting to find within the sandy environment. Unfortunately, the more the two females walked around the warm desert, the harder their search seem to become for them. The make things a little more challenging for them, the golden sun had fully been put away and replaced with a silver moon. "It's getting late Persephone. We should probably start making our way back toward the dorms now." She sighed, feeling a little disappointed that they did not run into a Mawile. "Maybe, we'll have better luck tomorrow." She stated, forcing a smile to touch her soft lips. The Vulpix glanced up at her trainer, also feeling a little sad about not being able to find the Pokemon that her trainer truly wanted to find. Persephone would then leap into her trainers arms and gently start to lick her face in hopes of cheering her up a bit. A few soft giggles quickly escaped from Lilith's mouth, once she felt Persephone's moist tongue rub against her cheek. "Thanks Persephone. You're pretty amazing." She laughed, nuzzling up against her Pokemon.

Within seconds, of standing in the middle of the desert, Lilith soon started to feel her feet slowly starting to sink into the sand. "Eh, what's going on?!" She screamed out, staring to panic a little more. Persephone quickly leaped out of her trainer's arms and glared around their surrounding. It didn't take the Vulpix long to spot the Wild Sandile, standing a few feet away from them. The Wild Pokemon seem to have trapped her trainer by using her Sand Tomb attack. Persephone quickly became enraged by the Wild Pokemon attack her innocent trainer. The Vulpix would let out a loud before dashing off toward the Sandile. A malicious smirk curved against the Sandile's face as she watched the fire fox run toward her. Did this little fox honestly believe that it could defeat her? The Sandile swiftly leaped over the running Vulpix, then used her sharp teeth to dig into the Vulpix's six tails. The Sandile would then use her powerful mouth to toss the Vulpix down onto the ground. "Persephone, be careful! You're at a disadvantage!" LIlith called out to her Pokemon, while struggling to fight free from the Sand Tomb. Sadly, the more she fought, the quicker her body start to sink into the ground. Persephone let out a loud cry once her small body crashed down onto the warm ground. She knew that she had a disadvantage against the Sandile, yet she had to protect and save her trainer.

After the Sandile tossed Persephone aside, she would then start to make her way back over toward the hurting Pokemon, aiming to sink her powerful fangs into the Vulpix's soft fur once again, this time she was a bit unaware of the angry that was starting to build up within the Vulpix. Once the Sandile neared her, Persephone would leap back onto her feet, then use her powerful six tails to knock the Sandile away from her. The Sandile was caught off guard and ended up getting knocked back a few inches. The Sandile hissed after feeling the Vulpix's six tails pound her face. She would then retaliate by using another Sand Tomb, this time focusing the attack on the Vulpix. "Persephone, dodge that attack, then use Inferno!" Lilith commanded. The Vulpix leaped gracefully into the air do dodge the sinking sand, while in midair, she would then release an intense flame from her mouth down onto the Sandile. The attack wasn't super effective, yet it still managed to pack a punch. Not to mention that the attack always left the foe with a nasty burn. The Sandile cried out in pain, feeling the burning sensation taking over her body. "Nice job, Persephone!" Lilith cheered, still trying to fight her way out of the sinking sand.

Now outraged, the Sandile started to pound of her feet against the soft ground, soon causing a Earthquake to occur. Luckily, do to the burn status the attack was slightly weaken. However, the attack still managed to cause a decent amount of damage to the Vulpix's body. "Hang in there Persephone, you an do it!" She encouraged her Pokemon. She knew that her Pokemon wouldn't be able to withstand another Earthquake. Therefore, she would have to end the battle as soon as possible. "Now that it's suffering from a burn, use Hex!" Persephone's eyes quickly glowed a deadly black hue as she bewitched the foe's body, inflicting even more pain onto the burning sensation. The Sandile let out another painful cry, starting to regret attacking the trainer and her Pokemon now. It was like the Wild Pokemon was now screaming for mercy. Once the pain simmered down a bit. The Sandile would then take a face to run at the Vulpix with another Bite. Persephone noticed the Pokemon running toward her and she swiftly lashed her tails out at the Pokemon again, blocking the Bite attack. While blocking the attack, she allowed time for the burning sensation to kick into play again. The Sandile let out a painful hiss before falling down onto the warm sand in defeat. The Sand Tomb finally faded away from Lilith due to Persephone defeating the foe. "You did it!" Lilith yelled, picking herself up off the ground and rushing over to pick up her Vulpix. After hugging her Pokemon a couple of times, Lilith would take out an empty Pokeball and toss it at the fainted Sandile. It wasn't a Mawile, but she figured that it might come in handy at some point.

Lilith watched as the Pokeball shook from left to right. She would bit down on her bottom lip, waiting anxiously to see if the Pokemon would be capture. After a few more seconds passed by, the Pokeball finally came to a halt, letting the raven-haired trainer now that her capture was indeed a success. "Awesome, looks like we've capture our first Pokemon, Persephone!" She yelled out in excitement. She would then slowly walk over to retrieve the Pokeball, then stuffing it into her bag. "Welcome to the team..." She smiled before glancing down at her Vulpix. "Okay, let's make our way back to the dorm now. It's becoming a little too dangerous for us to be out here around this time." She stated, turning around and heading back into the direction of the dorms.
