Name: Fianna Hayes
Age: 15
Date of Birth: February 24th
Birthplace: Petalburg City, Hoenn Region
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Qwerty-sexual, tri-romantic
Face Claim: Hanako Ikezawa – Katawa Shoujo
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features: Though kind of obvious, it goes to note that a large portion of the right side of her body hosts burn marks.
Height: 5'4
Character Type: Student
Personality:
This isn't some pretty pink princess, too worried about looks or formalities to step out of her cage. This is a free-willed, big-hearted, maiden unafraid to accept herself and others and fully capable of standing toe to toe with even the most intimidating or hard-headed of social figures. She's comfortable with herself and her body and is completely supportive of others that might have doubts regarding their physique.
Fianna is very laidback. Down to earth, one might say. While it is very easy to get her going and ready to rumble, assuming one pushes the right buttons, she's generally very easy-going, willing to look the other way up until those matters are breached. She's honest, to a fault, and generally doesn't care about what others think of her or her opinions. Really, one could say that she's got confidence. Now, that's not to be interpreted as being cocky, mind you. She's just not going to be tricked up by some asshole spewing cruel words, or by people arguing with her thoughts.
See, Fianna had some interesting people around her while she grew up, so she's pretty tolerant of a lot of things. Person walking out in their underwear? That's cool. Obese girl wearing shorts with the phrase "Juicy" plastered over her rear? If she's comfortable with her size, then that's a-okay, too. From the palest of vampire-wannabes to the tannest of amazons, from the shortest midget to the tallest giant, from the blemished to the clean, she's accepting of all sorts of bodies and the way they're displayed, so long as the host is comfortable with it.
She's kind enough, honest to a fault though, and gets by on her own or with others- self-sufficient, yet not against receiving assistance or working with others. She could even be considered goofy at times, or nerdy, if the right subjects come up. Put simply, despite her circumstances, she's a young lady with a healthy outlook on life and a personality that allows her to mesh with others or stand on her own.

History:
Once upon a time, there was a happy family living a happy life in a happy little town. Well, by all technicality, it was a city. Specifically, Petalburg City. A loving couple lovingly produced lovable, loved kids- a girl, a boy, and then a final girl. The final child, the second daughter, is the focal point of this tale. One might even go so far as to call her a protagonist of sorts. But, alas, this is no grand story, no fairy tale of mighty adventures, but a simple tale of life and the various misfortunes and blessings that it includes.
What manner of misfortune could ruin a happy life? Why, a serial arsonist, of course! One atop a Salamence, no less. Flappy-flap went the flaming asshole, spewing fire on a number of houses in a small residential area of Petalburg. The arsonist was quickly apprehended, and a number of the houses only sustained small fire damage. Others, like Fianna's, suffered much more, though. The house, by the end of the ordeal, was as good as gone. A house could be rebuilt, though.
The mother did not die. The father did not die. The sister did not die. The brother did not die. Fianna, naturally, did not die. Nobody died! What a miracle, right? Well, everyone lived. But Fianna was kind of sort of mildly cooked on one side. A good portion of the right side of her body would later prove to host some nasty scars, ruined sweat glands, and a hampered sense of touch. The vision in her right eye was also damaged slightly- enough to be considered bothersome, but not enough to be considered blind. Her older sister, the one that rescued her from the depths of the flames, was also burned, but very lightly- most only on the hands and lower arms, and not to the degree that Fianna suffered.
Recovery took a while, but things seemed fine for the most part, outside of Fianna's self-consciousness. She had no fear of fire, even if the event hurt tremendously, but her body soon became an issue she paid attention to, to the point of obsessive shame. This was, though gradually, fixed by her older sister, who became a nudist to make a point. You see, there was a strange sort of awkwardness about having your older sister, naked, and laying on your bed while talking to you casually. Eventually, the girl's focus was more on the fact that her sister tried to follow her around the house. And then, on occasion, outside.
Fun times.
By the time that Fianna had grown used to her sister's antics, she had completely forgotten her own insecurities, instead becoming infected by her older sister's mentality of discarding shame and being comfortable with oneself. Granted, Fianna did believe that there was a degree of social regulation that was there for a reason. While her sister helped her get over her complex, she never did embrace some of the older girl's customs.
Her older brother assisted in his own. . . unique ways. He was a bit of a sloth, though. However, in that regard, his hard-headed, free-willed nature did serve to inspire the girl to not let others deter her from what she liked. Naturally, it wasn't just lazing about and watching or playing stuff, but it was best to view things in a positive light. Especially with an older brother that could give an especially painful noogey.
Her parents were naturally supportive and caring over the years. For a long time, Fianna had an interest in Pokemon. When she was old enough that they figured she could handle herself, they didn't mind letting her head off to a boarding school. With some discussion and negotiation and communication, Gray Garden Academy was eventually decided by unanimous voting of the five family members.
And so little Fianna headed off to the island, head and eye held high.
