While the pier had a lot of Pokemon to look for, only one Pokemon stood out like a badly-dressed person. It was a seahorse Pokemon that she had studied about and apparently, it evolved into a leafy sea dragon. She did remember that the seahorse in particular was called a Skrelp and practically everyone loved to train one. And seahorses were the last thing that anyone wanted to look down upon. Sure, Skrelp take a long time to evolve, but that was worth the wait to actually evolve it. That being said, it was probably time for some fishing down at the pier, but not before releasing Kazuya out of his Pokeball. The crescent-horned mammalian Pokemon stayed by her side until she reached the end of the pier. He yawned as he looked around, trying to see if there was anything that he could take an interest out of. Taking out her old fishing rod, she began to cast a reel and waited.

Huh? It seemed like a fish with a butterfly tail had been flopping all over the place once the reel had casted and Kazuya looked away. She could tell that the Absol had never seen a fish before, but that wasn't the one seahorse she was looking for. She contemplated whether the fish could be worth catching before the targeted Pokemon's name came to mind. She decided to just release it back into the wild anyway and continue to fish for more. She gently held the Finneon and placed her in the water where she swam away. The young Absol continued to look over the horizon to see if anything new came up. It seemed that those fishes were pretty common around these parts. She began casting a reel again in hopes of searching for that seahorse again.
(Pass on Finneon.)

A Skrelp had finally appeared and it was a female instead of a male. Gender didn't matter anyway as the seahorse was all they needed. One thing to note was that her ability appeared to make a Pokemon poisoned whenever certain moves makes contact. "Alright. Kazuya, use Swords Dance!" The mammalian mountain beast created floating swords that increased his attack power greatly. The seahorse blew bubbles which did minor damage to the Absol. "Use Slash!" The mammalian mountain beast used his claws to slash at the little poisonous seahorse and she recoiled in pain. The poisonous seahorse fired a turquoise energy ball at the Absol and Kazuya cringed as he was hit. "Another Slash!" The mammalian mountain beast nodded as he slashed at the poisonous seahorse using his claws again. However, trouble was afoot as the poison managed to be contracted. He growled in pain as the poison began to damage him. Alice was worried about the young hatchling, but he seemed to be doing okay albeit suffering from poison. "One more Slash!" The mammalian mountain beast slashed at the poisonous seahorse once again and the female seahorse fell to the ground in a thud, where spirals appeared in her eyes. It appeared as if the Skrelp was unconscious. Taking out an empty Pokeball, she proceeded to catch the seahorse.

Too bad its inedible.

The Pokeball wiggled a little before a clicking sound could be heard and the spherical object stopped. Kazuya was staggering as he tried to stand up, the poison was still there. She promptly returned him to his Pokeball, worried that he might collapse. At the same time, he might need some rest since he was only a young hatchling. With that, she walked over to the Pokeball, glad that she had a new teammate to show to the rest of the party. Though that poison was worrying, but she figured that all that Absol needed was a good long rest. She picked up the Pokeball containing her newly caught Skrelp and pushed the button. A red light took the form of a poisonous seahorse and she looked at her trainer, unsure how to act. "Hi there. I'm Alice and I'll take good care of you." The poisonous seahorse agreed with her happily as she had finally found a new home. Though, she had felt guilty about poisoning her teammate. Alice smiled at the Skrelp, reassuring her that the Absol was going to be okay. And with that, the Skrelp nodded and floated next to her trainer as they returned back to the academy.
