Name: Yuhiru "Yami" Yamimoto
Age: 15
Date of Birth: November 14
Birthplace: Fortree City, Hoenn
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: TK from Angel Beats
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features: N/A
Height: 5'8"
Character Type: Student
Personality: Yuhiru is a person who can't be trusted to stay still for long. He isn't experiencing an attention deficient disorder or anything, he just firmly believes that everything should either be in movement or left alone. The only exception he will accept is if it can't be moved anymore. This affects him in everything from social interactions to school to battling. If he doesn't see a relationship making progress, he simply stops putting in effort. In school, he constantly strives to improve his grades while still having to move around in his seat to get comfortable. In battles, he goes for a total offense and doesn't bother stopping to protect himself.
He does his best to improve everything about himself he can. He tries his best to be nice to everyone no matter how much he'd rather not, he'll study to ace a test even if he knows he'll get a good grade on it, and he cares for his pokemon as best as he can. However, when he's faced with an obstacle that he can't pass, he gets exceedingly frustrated and agitated. He takes his frustrations out on whatever is closest to him, with the sole exception of his pokemon. He is working on doing enjoyable things that relax him in order to counter this, though.
Likes: Video Games with Flowing Plots, Dancing, Music, Adrenaline Rushes, Pizza
Dislikes: Being unable to move forward, Sitting still for unreasonably long times, Anchovies, Lip-Syncing, Regression
History: Yuhiru grew up in Fortree City and was always surrounded by many wild Pokemon. These Pokemon ended up becoming his friends from how much time he would spend with them. He had loving parents who encouraged him to pursue a lifetime with Pokemon. When he was eight, they gave him a Pidgey. This, and his family's friendship with Gym Leader Winona, led Yami to take an interest in flying types.
He spent much of his time in the gym with flying type Pokemon. He quickly grew to admire the songs they sang and the way they maneuvered through the air, complex techniques that reminded him of dancing. As he spent more time with them, he came to appreciate music and to to desire a level of dancing that would remind others of the beauty of the flying type. He spent much time working on his dancing skills, but not so much that he stopped going to the gym.
Yami saw Winona lose over and over again to traveling trainers, and he decided that he would defeat her with Pidgeotto. He had spent so much time with his Pidgey that she had evolved, and he thought that the Pokemon would be strong enough. The humiliating defeat proved him wrong. He found out that many of the trainers who had beet Winona were using Rock or Electric type pokemon. This information did nothing to help Tristan deal with the crushing defeat. He became fixated on "moving forward" and vowed to defeat Winona. His parents saw his determination; and, after a year of saving up, they revealed that he was going to the prestigious Gray Garden Academy. He arrived shortly after and chose his Dorm.
