Pick It, Lick It, Flick It (Berries)

[Fianna Hayes]

Berries were sweet little things, and they went well with things like biscuits and other baked goods. They were also very nice in a number of baked goods. However, the berries that were there in the orchard, going by what Fianna had heard, were not the sort that were considered humanely edible. Or, at the very least, that was not their purpose. No, these berries were more the sort for Pokemon than for humans. And, it seemed, for money. But that was just an altogether odd concept to the girl, unless it was a means of teaching the students that hard work paid off? Well, whatever the case, students could receive credits for trading in certain berries. Odd as it may have been, the girl was not one to question something that was at least a justified acquisition of funds.

”Just a li'l bit more, then we can head back, Elena. Don'cha worry 'bout a thing, sweetie.” The young lady assured the Eevee, who just yipped and cuddled into the girl's chest. Sure enough, they reached a particularly large bundle of bushes after going just a bit further. It was time to take the score and head out!

It was funny how things like schedules worked on a “per frame” basis. After all, one could go do something one day, then go the next day, simply because, between days one and two, the “frame” renewed itself. That was somewhat the case for Fianna's picking trip. Picking berries was allowed once a week, and it seemed that the new week had begun. With that in mind, the girl could go get some more things to feed to her Pokemon. Or sell. One or the other.

”Well, let's take a good look around and see what we can find, hm?” The young lady asked Elena as she lightly squeezed the Eevee to her chest.

Fianna hadn't been too badly affected by the events in Mavro. Really, she had just been told to stick to her room (she wasn't really confident enough in her abilities or her bunch of Pokemon to battle in a serious situation), and she obediently complied with the order. Did she envy those that had the strength to go out? Not really. Some were strong, and others weren't. That was simply the way the world worked. Things happened, and people said things, but, all in all, Fianna was a-okay with remaining. She wasn't going to let others ruin the experience for her.

That was why she and Elena, now a Sylveon, were out to gather berries. Things would continue as usual. No differently.

Taking a stroll through the woods was relaxing. Having Elena out and affectionate was relaxing. Naturally, if both of these things were occurring, Fianna was pretty much in good spirits and good to go. With a quiet hum, the young lady made her way through the woods, eventually finding the orchard. Looking for a nicely set bush, the girl blinked a few times. Limited perspective made a simple search take just a bit longer, after all. But, with some patience, she found a good enough spot and got to work, seeing about getting some nice new finds. Berries were as berries did.

Whatever that meant.

Another quick-shot trip to go picking, and Fianna found herself half-way to the orchard. Now, really, she did her picking a bit late last time. As a result, she was here again almost immediately. That was a potentially bad habit. She needed to stop doing that- needed to get it done sooner, as opposed to later. Fortunately, she would be set for this “frame” after this trip, so she wasn't too worried overall. And, yet, she felt that because she wasn't “too worried”, that it would, in fact, happen again. Likely in the very near future. Well, if it did happen, she'd make up for it. Or something.

Either way.

Making her way to the bushes, she began picking berries.
