"Back again, back again." he sang. "Well, with Spooktre here we won't have to worry about all that cold and darkness." he smiled, relieved that the ruins will be a lot more manageable. He held the incubator close, after his forgetfulness with his battle against the Spiritomb, he grew a lot more worried for the egg. After all, he wanted to see what hatched from the egg, as well as not fail his Breeding Class for breaking his egg. He could already here Tanya yelling at him for being an idiot. He chuckled at that, putting the egg back in the large pocket of his duffle bag and continuing into the ruins. As he entered the ruins, he realized that after being in this part for so long he was a lot more comfortable with the place. The little light made the area a lot more manageable, though he still relied on his simian Pokemon for extra light. "Then we turn here. . ." he said turning the corner. "Geez, we might as well navigate other people around here." he said with a smile. "Here's the fork, alright Trapez, where to this time?"

The two headed off in a random direction, coming in contact with a golem of some kind. "Wow, it looks pretty old doesn't it Trapez?" Cameron asked. The usually cautious Monferno leaving his trainer's side and jumping on to the ancient machine. "Hey, let's see what this thing can do, yeah?" Cameron offered, earning an eager nod from his Monferno. The two began dusting the artifact, finding it to shine when all of its parts were clean. "There we go, all nice and clean-like." he praised their work. "Y'know, this reminds me of a pokemon. The pose is just all wrong." Cameron went back to the machine and raised one of its arms, while putting the other arm lower. "That's what they-" The sound of something rumbling emanated from the ancient machine as it awoke. It's eyes lit up, as well as the lines along its body. It lifted one leg and smashed it on the ground, almost making Cameron lose his balance.
"Okay, I gotcha." Cameron reached into his pocket, always being able to recognize the signs of a challenge. "Alright Bastard, you're up!" he tossed the pokeball into the air, releasing a Honedge that quickly unsheathed itself, ready for the upcoming fight. "Alright Bastard, take the initiative with an Aerial Ace!" Cameron ordered. The Honedge dashed towards it's opponent. Moving towards the sky and coming down with an aerial strike that made the Golett step back a couple paces.
The machine then moved towards its opponent, bringing down its fist on the Honedge with Hammer Arm, though Bastard simply let the attack faze through him thanks to his ghost typing. Cameron smirked at the sight, though the Golett only had misshapen eyes for a face, it must be surprised by the sight of a failed attempt at an attack. "Alright, Aerial Ace once more!" Cameron shouted. The Honedge once more making for the skies and coming down with a slash staggering his opponent back.
The Golett collected itself and made a jump, and then came down with a heavy stomp with Earthquake. The attack caused a pillar of earth to come from the ground, knocking into Honedge and doing a lethal amount of damage. Though the Honedge got up nonetheless, Cameron was wary, but it would come down to the next attack, if it wasn't enough then he'd have to recall the Honedge. "Alright Bastard, last time, Aerial Ace!" he shouted. The Honedge once again repeated the attack, slashing its opponent with an aerial vertical slash.
The Golett stopped moving and its shining body grew dark. "Must be out for the count." Cameron figured. He made for his bag, taking out one of the Academy's pokeballs and tossed it at the downed golem. "Nicely done there Bastard." Cameron praised as he also recalled the Honedge for a well deserved rest.
He reached into his bag, taking out the incubator carrying his egg Benedict. "Huh, what's that?" he noticed a crack appearing on the egg. "Must be close to show time." Cameron figured as he put the egg back into his bag for safe keeping. "It'll be nice to have another one around won't it Trapez?" The Monferno nodded. "Alright, let's get outta here."

And then?
The ball was inert.
Deduct your balls by one. Even if they are inert.
