Personality: Proud and bold. Accepting of orders but reluctant to follow them, a fact that she frequently makes known. Loves causing trouble for others, especially new students. Fiercely loyal to Karin, though, and can be quite vicious to anyone looking to do her harm.

Karin Notes: My companion from the very beginning. She's really a handful, especially when trying to spook the younger students, but I wouldn't trade her for the world.

Personality: Relaxed and easy-going. Likes to sit, or float, around when possible. Intimidated by all of nothing. Being the bell that would not break, it takes hits like a champ and doesn't care.

Karin Notes: There's an old story about a bronze bell made from melted down mirrors. One woman donated her mirror but regretted it, and the mirror wouldn't even warm until this was discovered and she let go of it, drowning herself in shame soon afterward. Before she died, she cursed the bell, saying that her ghost would bestow riches on anyone who could break it. But try as they might, no one could break it, and after growing fed up of the constant ringing its owners cast it, unbroken, into a swamp to be rid of it. I wonder if Bronzor and Bronzong have anything to do with this story. Mugen does seem pretty unbreakable.

Personality: Quiet and distant. Tries to avoid attention, but will accept it if she can't get away. Does not particularly work well with others pokemon, but doesn't dislike them either. Always on the watch for danger, and will warn her trainer and her trainer's other pokemon when it approaches.

Karin Notes: She hits like a truck, warns me and mine of trouble approaching, and probably saved my life when we first met. And I found a weird gem awhile back that makes her even stronger. One of my closest companions.

Personality: Graceful. Modest, but within reason. She knows her strengths and isn't afraid to make use of them, but doesn't flaunt them. Fond of the unknown and likes chasing after it. Seems to have taken a bit after her trainer in that way.

Karin Notes: Named for a legendary dragon princess. About as beautiful as the legend, too. She also shoots dragon lasers and can carry me anywhere where there's water.

Personality: Befriends others easily. Wants to be surrounded by people and pokemon, but fears being left behind. Loves being in nature, especially forests. Doesn't like serious fighting, but will frequently roughouse or battle for fun, and is fiercely protective of his traner and other pokemon when they're threatened. Prefers to take it easy most of the time.

Karin Notes: Not as cute as he was before evolving, but is just as friendly. He seems kind of lonely when others aren't around, especially Shiranui.

Personality: Quiet and, to the best of her ability, unassuming. Avoids showing off most of the time, but puts on impressive fireworks when she does. Prefers to fight patiently, waiting for the opponent to lower their guard. Outside of a fight, she prefers to spend most of her time either pretending to be a light fixture or napping.

Karin Notes: I've always wondered if she's plotting something, but lately it seems more likely that it's just the world's best campfire. Just as long as she doesn't burn down a forest or something. Although, given how close she is with Skull Kid, that probably won't happen.

Personality: Very curious, but capable of taking care of himself well enough to not get in trouble (much) because of that. Happy about just about everything. Especially new people and pokemon. They're exciting. Still a little bit naive.

Karin Notes: When he was a young Togepi, he reminded me of Mom's Growlithe: always really happy about everything, but not very smart. Now he's still really happy, but has gotten a bit smarter. I wonder if that Growlithe turned out the same way.

Personality: Hard to read. Doesn't express itself, but behaves in a way that makes it seem easily bored and prone to extreme measures in order to entertain itself. Like exploding.

Karin Notes: Both of the Baltoys I've owned, I got through trades. And both of them seem to like exploding. I sense a trend here.

Personality: Grouchy. Not particularly pleasant to be around. Takes a lot to warm up to someone, and seems like he's actively fighting that via cold grabby hands of death. Quiet but agreeable once he's succeeded at that though.
