Name: Bryce Wright
Age: 45
Date of Birth: 9/21
Birthplace: Sootopolis City, Hoenn
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Face Claim: Shouhei Narumi; Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha Series
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features: None
Height: 5'10"
Character Type: Headmaster
Personality: Bryce is a very light hearted man, or at least he tries to think so. He has never been one to raise his voice as fear has always been something he did not want his students to feel when they were in his company. He has never been one to unjustly punish as that is not something befitting of a headmaster. No no, Bryce is a gentle soul who feels that everyone has a story that lead them to be the person they are now. For those he feels need his help, he devotes everything he can give to help.
Bryce's main devotion is Gray Garden Academy. He cares for it almost as a child, and everyone apart of it. He will easily say that as long as Gray Garden is running he will always be happy. After all it was his only goal in life, and with it complete, all he wants now is to see it prosper. However, those who try to sully its name, or close it down are people he can never show any compassion. People he could care less whether they lived or died. No matter their reasoning, no matter their employer, they have no business being anywhere near his academy, nor his faculty or students and he will make sure that those people stay as far away from his property as he sees fit.
He's a man who enjoys the simple things. Walks along the beach, a nice hot shower, but most especially watching his students battle. He's seen all kinds, ones where the very Earth crumbles to take on the force of powerful, well trained pokemon. Some where pokemon evolve during battle, and hiss favorite, battles that end in a stalemate. After all, Neutrality is what keeps everything in check.
Bryce was, at one point very addicted to nicotine, cigars to be specific. They were a way for him to decompress and let all the stress of maintaining his academy go. Though when he began to notice him quickly losing his expensive cigars he knew it was time for a change. Now, he is never without a lollipop in his mouth. The suckers do the job just as well as nicotine had. It's also been a way for him to be introduced to the world of sugary sweets. He just loves them in moderation. Especially ice cream, it's even gotten him wondering what a Vanillite tastes like, though he would never do that.
Work is a hobby for him, acceptance letters, meetings, and whatever other business he has during the day is done, well, in the day. His afternoons and nights are mostly spent watching his students in their various classes, or playing with his own Pokemon. It's during these outings that he comes to desperately obvious conclusions such as "I am deathly in need of a hobby."

History: Bryce doesn’t remember much. He doesn’t remember his parents, well his birth parents. Most likely because they had no part of his life, something he doesn’t regret. They weren’t some powerful family who wanted to avoid controversy and put him up for orphanage because of that. Nor was he
the unwanted product of a one night stand. No, the staff of the orphanage had simply told him that he was a sickly looking baby that two people that they presumed to be his parents.
He had no name, no way for the staff to trace his parents. He was truly a blank canvas. He was just waiting for people to come by and begin the painting that would be his life. It all started with the head of the orphanage, the woman who would be the one to give him his name, Bryce, though he was still lacking a surname, it was enough for him, as much as a baby could want, and as much as a toddler would need besides attention.
Around the age of 6 a man by the name of Jonathan Wright visited the young boy. The two would talk every now and again; he was surprised to find out that this man indeed planned on adopting young Bryce. He was flown to Sootopolis City, the place that would be his home for a long time. Their house was large, as he grew up he would find out that his father was indeed a wealthy man, but the house was empty. It was just the two Wrights, Bryce and Jonathan.
Jonathan taught Bryce a lot as the years went by; How to carry oneself with confidence. How to show forgiveness to those who have wronged him and apologize to those he has wronged. Most importantly, to never hold grudges, as hate in his father’s eyes was the cause of everything wrong with the world. This lesson was always one that stuck at the forefront of his mind, for it was the only time his adopted father held a serious tone, without the usual kind eyes, almost as if he was warning the young man.
Still the young man took his father’s words to heart and for a while he felt complete, there wasn’t any holes that needed filling in his life or white spaces in need of coloring. Well, all except one, as Bryce entered his high school years and career counseling became more and more apparent, while others knew exactly what they wanted to do, Bryce on the other hand was at a loss. While leisurely spending time with his father Pokemon trainers were brought up. Now, Bryce wasn’t coddled, he’s had his fair share of involvement with them, but training them? Going out on a journey with them? That was never something that crossed his mind.
In the end he decided to give it more thought. More thought turned to going to college, still without an actual goal or knowing what to do with his life. He thought that if he studied Pokemon in college he’d know then, so he did. Throughout his studies the need for catching a few Pokemon would arise, and he would do so, luckily none of them he ever had to battle, as that was always something he considered himself awful at.
As time went on and Bryce grew older, he held in internship for a Pokemon professor. He was responsible for the distribution of this professor’s starter pokemon. The job went easily, and seeing the excited grins of beginner trainers was something he enjoyed. Though he saw a lot of himself in them, sure some kids were prodigal battlers, but all of them? There was no way, so this was where Bryce decided on the rest of his life. “I’m going to make a place for them. For the kids who just need a start in learning about pokemon and where they want to take their careers as trainers.
Thanks to his father, the finances and business aspects of making an academy wasn’t too hard, though it did have some challenges like how it put him in mountains of debt, which he is still steadily paying off but whatever to realize his new dream. The first step to realizing his dream was he needed the perfect place for his soon-to-be students to grow, a place where Pokemon frequently migrated and a city that would attract people on its own. His search led him to a large island to the east of Hoenn, Harmonia Island, it was called. Luckily enough, it had a running city called, Mavro City.
The economic status of the city was unsightly but it wasn't enough to drive him away. After all his main concerns were still the same. It had the city; though it could use some work, all he needed to find out now was if it had the proper fauna. Bryce was surprised by what he found. Not only did the island have all the proper climates to facilitate all kinds of Pokemon, it was hypothesized to contain nearly every species of Pokemon within. Whether this had a sound base or not, he would leave to his students.
Within five years his academy was up, Bryce, the new, 28 year old headmaster was ecstatic. Gray Garden Academy, it was named. A fitting name considering the island’s name as well as the city’s he thought. Soon, all of the pieces started to fall together. The city began to develop, soon becoming a premiere vacation destination, and when people came on their vacations, Gray Garden Academy’s name and office number would be the first thing they see. Bryce would make sure of that. With his academy only growing, and his graduation rate staying at a modest level, he had indeed achieved his goal. His school was going to be the one responsible for the new group of experienced trainers.
Here he is, at 45 years old. His academy going on to it's 17th year. Needless to say he's very much proud of himself, proud of his work and thankful for his father, the man who he knows is responsible for getting him here, but now there was yet another class of students and as always he would be the ones to give them a few words once they've settled in. Now, if only he could find a hobby to take up his time.
