Dream of a Whale? [Mod]

Seria sighed and found herself at the beach again. She was sitting on the sands in her typical swimwear, as she found herself wont to wear whenever she went to the beach. She tried to search for a Pokemon here before but she didn't find one, settling for a Totodile instead. At least those were reasonably rare. She continued looking out towards the sea, her trusty Marill by her side, Aquaelie. She was thinking about many things as she looked ahead at the horizon. Thoughts of Amanda continued to linger in her mind, but she shook them off for now as she had more important things to focus on, even though she really did have feelings for her. Standing up, she picked up Aquaelie and began to walk along the shore. She was hunting for a certain Pokemon that would help her in the battles to come. It would be difficult to be sure, but she knew that Pokemon would be reliable in the battles eventually.

Seria sighed and continued walking along the shoreline. Eventually, she happened upon a small, rotund, blue Pokemon with a swirly thing on her chest. It was a Poliwag. Well, those things did tend to be somewhat common, and they were cute. However, it wasn't what she was looking for. She still really wanted that pink Pokemon. Sadly, she would have to skip that one. Aquaelie was still huddled about in Seria's arms and the pair of the let the Poliwag frolic in the beach water. She continued walking and exploring the rest of the beach in an attempt to find that Pokemon she so desperately wanted. She sighed and wondered why it was so hard to find what she wanted. Maybe if she stopped thinking about wanting it she'd find it sooner? It was a psychological thing, after all.

Seria sighed as she continued to walk forward with the little Marill in tow, and soon she happened upon a small turtle Pokemon playing and splashing about in the water before heading up to the shoreline and frolicking in the sand. She began to start playing with the sand and looked to be building something. Seria stood still and watched the Squirtle for a few moments. She looked cute, but again, she wasn't what Seria was looking for, sadly. Seria smiled at the sight and decided she would just let the Squirtle enjoy herself under the sun at the beach, and continued walking forth. She really wanted that Slowpoke, and she would be sad if she couldn't find one before she left.

Seria smiled as, eventually, they happened upon a pink, dopey Pokemon on all fours. He looked lazy and cheerful as Slowpokes are wont to be. Seria nodded and let Aquaelie hop off her arms. "Okay, Aquaelie, give that Slowpoke a bit of a wake-up call. Bounce up in the air!" Seria called out as the Marill soon leaped up into the air, though it was much harder for him to do so than when he was an Azurill, he managed it somehow. The Slowpoke noticed from all the sand being kicked about and the Pokemon lazily looked up into the air. It simply stood there and concentrated about something. Then, Aquaelie landed and hit it on the back, but the Slowpoke just made pleasant yawning noises. It looks like while the Marill was in the air, the Slowpoke used Curse. Aquaelie bounced back onto the shoreline and waggled about a little as the Slowpoke shivered and then spat out water pulses back in return.

The blue mouse simply just shrugged off the water attack. "OK, now, Aquaelie, use your Facade!" Seria called out as soon Marill began to flail about and start furiously slapping at the Slowpoke, who looked more like he was being massaged than actually being hurt. Yes, this Pokemon, I must get him! Seria clenched her fists and soon the Slowpoke responded by headbutting the Marill with a psychic energy. This attack hurt a lot more in comparison to the Water Pulse. Aquaelie bounced back a little into the sand and pulled his weight back upright again. "OK, Aquaelie, this time, try using Play Rough!" Seria called out as the Marill started to engage in horseplay with the Slowpoke, who was now tumbling around in the sand and kicking up a mess.

Though, the Slowpoke had taken a good deal of damage, it still wouldn't be in a state where it could be easily captured. The Curse helped a lot for him. Meanwhile, he responded with yet another Zen Headbutt, which made the Marill land into the water. Seria doubted the Marill could handle another attack. But the Slowpoke was getting very tired, too. Even for a Slowpoke. "OK, Aquaelie, use your Play Rough one more time!" the Marill was panting as Seria commanded him to attack again. The Marill rushed over to the Slowpoke and roughed him up once more, and soon the Slowpoke's eyes were closed as if he were taking a big nap. Seria couldn't tell if he was alright or not. Even so, Seria took out an Academy Ball and launched it at the Slowpoke, attempting to capture him.
