Name: Adriel Sorano
Age: 15
Date of Birth: Janurary 19
Birthplace: Castelia City; Unova Region
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Face Claim: Hisa Takei, from Saki
Appearance:
Distinguishing Features: While not quite something that's visibly noticeable, it's still worth noting. Despite her petite and slender appearance, she is deceptively strong, and can take hits pretty well, having been in plenty of fights throughout her childhood. While she wouldn't as last long in an outright fist fight, she can still hold her own pretty well against larger and/or more muscular opponents, and makes up for her lack of bulk with quick movement and sharp reflexes.
Height: 5'4"
Character Type: Student
Personality: Adriel is a cheerful and friendly girl who always seems to be full of energy. It seems to take a lot to bring her down, and it's rare to see her in any sort of bad mood. Even when she is upset, she keeps it hidden behind a smile. That said, she's also a fairly mischievous and somewhat perverted girl. She is an open and proud lesbian, and will waste no time in flirting a girl she finds attractive. If she thinks she can get away with it, she's also not above copping a feel or two if she sees the chance. That said, she also knows when to back off; if her advances appear to make someone genuinely uncomfortable, she'll immediately put a stop to them.
Additionally, she can be a bit snarky and blunt when speaking to others, and she's not the type to sugarcoat things or beat around the bush. That said, she's not completely heartless. If she catches on that someone might be sensitive or self-conscious about what she's thinking about saying, she'll try and hold back a bit and do as little damage as possible. It won't stop her from saying what's on her mind, but she will, for what it's worth, at least try to find a polite and more considerate way to say it if she needs to. However, when dealing with someone she's not particularly fond of, pretty much all bets are off. She'll say whatever comes to mind, and only if she ends up taking it too far will she ever consider stopping.
Either way, for those who are able to overlook her perverted antics and rather noticeable lack of subtlety, few will find a more loyal and trustworthy friend. She is fiercely protective of anyone who she considers a friend, and would happily drop what she's doing to help them if they needed anything. This goes doubly for cute girls. On the other end of the spectrum, she will not hesitate to flatten anyone who threatens or harrasses someone she cares about, and, since she's been little, has had a bit of a reputation as a "bully hunter". Regardless of what trouble she finds herself in because of this, it's easy to tell that she usually has the best of intentions. She simply has a short temper when she catches someone picking on/harrassing someone else.

History: For as long as anyone who knows Adriel can remember, she had always been a huge tomboy, even when she was little. For the first few years, it was hard to tell whether she was a boy or a girl, though, as she grew older, she became more and more feminine. Though her looks became more girlish over the years, her personality did not. In fact, some would swear that she slowly grew into even more of a tomboy as she grew older. However, most were certain that she hadn't changed at all (for better or worse), and it was simply more noticeable now because of how feminine she was beginning to look. Either way, her parents always assumed she would "grow out of it"
Well, spoiler warning; she didn't. She was always "one of the boys", and constantly got into trouble. Most of it was harmless mischief, rarely bad enough to warrant anything more severe than a slap on the wrist and/or maybe a few nights of grounding. However, there was one incident that ended up being fairly serious. She was about eight years old, and she was out playing with some friends when a group of older kids showed up and started harassing them. This wasn't the first time this had happened, but the bullies were being especially brutal today, grabbing a young girl by their hair and throwing her to the ground by yanking it as hard as they could. It was probably a miracle it didn't get ripped out.
Either way, Adriel had always been something of a "knight in shining armor" for this girl, and seeing these older kids do this to her dear friends caused something to snap. Almost immediately, she charged up to "leader" of these bullies and punched up square in the nose. He fell backwards, crying hysterically and writhing in pain while covering his face with his hands. One of his friends decided to do the smart thing and run away, while the other went after Adriel, only to be met with a punch to the gut so strong it made him throw up. Adriel's friends could only watch in a combination of horror and awe at what had just happened. In a single punch each, Adriel had taken down two of the biggest bullies in the neighborhood.
Later on, she would would come to learn that, when she punched the leader in the nose, she had actually broken it. While she hadn't meant to do that much damage, she didn't regret it in the least. As for the adults who heard about this, their feelings were pretty mixed. On one hand, it was clear what had happened; Adriel was standing up to obvious bullies. Even the bullies' parents couldn't deny this. However, there were several who feel Adriel went too far. Even if she didn't mean to, the fact remains that the bully leader's injury was fairly serious. Some of the parents were worried she might let this go to her head and become a bully herself. However, none of them predicted what would end up happening instead.
Instead of letting her victory go to her head, she instead became something of "bully hunter". In other words, she was constantly getting into fights, but only with kids who had been bullying other kids. At the very least, she was able to learn from her first time and hold back just enough to not break anything, but it was still enough that other bullies were actually starting to become a little afraid of her. She was the champion of kids her age and younger. Of course, having her go around and beat up random kids was a bit of an issue, even if she did have clearly good intentions. In the end, Adriel's parents found it difficult to be too upset with her. Sure, it was bad that she was always getting into fights, but they could at least see that she had noble intentions.
As she grew older and matured a bit more, her fighting became less frequent. She still got into them more than her parents would have liked, but she slowly learned how to exercise a bit of self control. As such, she wasn't getting into them as often. Usually all it took was a well-timed death glare to send a bully running. Over time, she found herself interested in Pokemon. Or rather, she had always been interested in them, but was only just now giving any thought to becoming a trainer. She was also finding herself becoming more and more attracted to girls. She just rolled with it and never bothered to question it. Either way, she found a flier for the Gray Garden Academy, and the more she read about it, the better it sounded.
Her parents were reluctant at first, as they didn't really know a whole lot about Pokemon Training. However, Adriel was insistent. In the end, they simply couldn't say "no". As such, she applied to the school and, though the year had already started, she was accepted and allowed to attend anyway. Thus, she set off to start her new life. Besides, at a school like this, there were bound to be plenty of cute girls wandering around for her to admire.
