To a Distant Place, Hand in Hand [Amanda | Mod]

Seria recalled a nice spot that Oleg told her when they first met, something about a mountain. Seria enjoyed hiking. But, she didn't want to go too far up along the mountain range, for she was going to be accompanied by someone. Well, she was, anyway. Seria was waiting for Amanda here. She had told the Wave dormer at a previous time that she was going to go look for Pokemon at this particular spot, and wondered if she would be interested in joining her. Seria had explained to Amanda that one could find all sorts of various bird and other Flying-type Pokemon in the area. Seria was packing light, just a bag with water and other sorts of supplies one would normally have for hiking and mountain climbing. She was an outdoor person and had experience going exploring, so she knew how to prepare.

Seria found herself sitting on a pile of rocks at the foot of Mount Brave, which she ended up finding out by spotting a sign by the mountain path. "I do wonder if Amanda is going to be joining me today. But if she isn't, I do suppose there's nothing wrong with me going off alone..." Seria sighed and waited patiently, looking up at the sky.

Amanda smiled cheerfully as she neared the base of the mountain. Just as she had been organizing her plans for that day: a call from Seria had invited her to do some mountain climbing. It was an interesting proposal: although nothing less than what Amanda had come to expect from the nature-loving girl.

It was a physical challenge however: so Amanda had traded her usual wardrobe for a set of school-issued gym clothes. Recent experiences had shown her the benefits of wearing more comfortable clothing, and this would benefit from such a thing greatly. At her side, Amanda was accompanied by a surprisingly cheerful-looking Shiny. The Hariyama had been caught in this place, after all. So he was looking forward to visiting his home once more, even if briefly. Unusually enough: perched on top of the Hariyama was a rather dazed looking Munchlax. While the lazy Pokemon often preferred spending time sleeping in his ball: he had oddly wanted outside of it today. Thus was now riding piggyback on the Fighter, scanning the ground for interesting things.

As they neared the clearing: Amanda smiled and waved towards the lovely sight waiting for her. ''Salut, Seria!''

Seria smiled as she saw Amanda approach where she was seated. Once again, Seria found herself pleasantly surprised by what Amanda was wearing - it was simply the school-issued gym uniform. Even though she was used to seeing Amanda in typically refined and elegant clothes, she still even managed to make herself look good in gym clothes. Smiling and waving back, Seria stood up and bowed. "Salut to you too, Amy! Comment allez-vous?" Seria said cheerfully (Seria, at this point, had taken to try and study and learn Kalosian just for the explicit purpose of trying to get closer to Amanda), looking at the shiny Hariyama by her side and the ever familiar Munchlax, who was perched on top of him. Lazy as he was, he still seemed rather focused on looking at the ground, perhaps to look for a morsel of extras? Or perhaps he was bored? Seria couldn't figure it out, but after some time, Seria decided that now they were both here, it would be a good idea for them to get a start.

"It's wonderful that you could spare some time to join me for a nice refreshing walk in the mountains! It would be so nice to be with you for this trip. I'll lead the way, so care to come along? Perhaps we can find some more Pokemon to catch!" Seria continued as she slowly began the hike along the path, turning back occasionally to wait for Amanda and her Pokemon.

Amanda giggled at Seria's attempt to converse in Kalosian. Smiling as she drew in for a hug, she lightly pecked the other girl on the cheek.

''Tu es superbe, comme toujours'' complimented the Kalosian, sincerely. While Amanda had chosen a more modest outfit for physical exertion: Seria seemed to be wearing her usual flowery style of dress. It brought a slight blush to Amanda's cheeks as she broke the hug. Although it was hardly her style of choice: the Nature Dorm girl simply had a way of pulling it off magnificently. Checking to see that her Pokemon were present, Amanda set off after her friend.

''Sounds like a good plan!'' She nodded: idly letting her sight wander around to observe the view. She hadn't been in this part of the mountain before, and whenever you went on nature walks with Seria: you knew she would pick the best routes.

Seria blushed as she continued along the way, thanking Amanda with a hearty merci as the two of them took a path that seemed to be off the main path, but it was quite wide and could accommodate many people. One could see the rest of the island as they ascended, and it helped that the incline wasn't very steep, so it was easy to appreciate such a view. Seria hadn't bothered changing into any special outdoors attire for this because she figured she wouldn't be getting very dirty. Eventually, there comed to be a sight where a small, but rugged Fighting-type Pokemon - a Tyrogue - was actually sitting on a rock watching a blue duck Pokemon, a Ducklett, which had landed in front of him. "Oh, Pokemon! I'd like to capture that Tyrogue! Maybe you would fancy a pretty little duckling too, ma cherie?" Seria said, smiling as she sent out a Pokeball.

"OK, G.S.D!" Seria called out as a Slowpoke lazily flopped out of the ball and eyed the Tyrogue lazily. "Use the Zen Headbutt on that Tyrogue!" As Seria called out, the Tyrogue sitting on the rock suddenly jumped off and saw the Slowpoke, before getting into a fighting stance and anticipating the attack. The Slowpoke charged into the Tyrogue with a psychically powered headbutt, knocking the Fighting-type a ways back, but he collected himself and responded by fiercely Tackling the Slowpoke, who was simply just pushed back as if nothing had happened. "Zen Headbutt again!" Seria commanded, and the Slowpoke charged up once more before giving the Tyrogue another headbutt, he tried to catch it in his arms but the energy was a bit much.

He was barely able to stand, kneeling and using his hands to keep himself upright. He then gave the Slowpoke another weak tackle, but Seria nodded and said... "OK, G.S.D, use Water Pulse, it should be good enough to weaken him!" and soon the Slowpoke began spitting out pulses of water at the Tyrogue, causing him to fall over and weakly cling to the rock, and so Seria took out an Academy Ball and threw it at the Tyrogue.

Amanda stared at the duck standing before her. Seria seemed to want to capture the baby fighter, which left her to face a very quacky-Pokemon. Smiling, a flick of her wrist released one of her servants: a happy Blitzle. With a giggle, she patted the Electric-Types head encouragingly, before pointing towards the enemy Ducklett. Although the Water-Flying type was hardly her first choice, she reasoned she could evolve it into a good flier for her team.

''Use Discharge!'' she commanded. Her Pokemon nodding as it galloped towards the startled enemy duck, electricity building around it and surging outward at light-speed, hitting the wild Pokemon with an audible snap.

The Ducklett cried in pain, and while she didn't have her Pokedex active, Amanda knew the cause. Ducklet boasted not only a double, but a quadruple weakness to electric Pokemon and their attacks.

While it attempted to fight back weakly with a surge of bubbles, all they seemed to do was burst harmlessly against the determined Zebra. Another surge of electricity punished the futile attempt, and the duck fell to the ground with a thud: somewhat crispy.

With a solemn sigh, Amanda idly tossed an empty Pokeball towards the downed Pokemon. She felt bad, while traditional fights and battles against others were all well and good, these sort of punishing experiences made her feel somewhat barbaric, as if Pokemon were suffering greatly at her whim.

She was even starting to feel as if maybe being a trainer wasn't going to be the right job for her. It wasn't like she had any desire to capture or battle, nor that she would ever be taking part in contests or defending cities against vile villains.
