The other Nature girl. (Adriel)

Amanda pouted slightly as she sat down on one of the many available couches that littered the Nature Dorm. She had come over hoping to surprise Seria with a basket filled with their favorite cakes: maybe have a picnic together. Only then to discover the Nature Girl was nowhere to be found.
After about half an hour of fruitless searching, Amanda had given up and spoiled the surprise with a phone call to her girlfriend: only to be apologetically informed on the other end that Seria couldn't make it. She recalled frowning as she pocketed her phone. As of late, Seria was spending more and more time on her ''projects'', strangely tight-lipped about it. All of the prodding Amanda did only seemed to make the other girl giggle and change the subject.
Indeed, there were a great many suspicious thoughts on the mind of the Kalosian girl. If for not other reasons than that it kept her from doing her own secret things. Idly, Amanda flicked through the contents of the basket; checking on the food within: she mused it could probably be stored until a later date, if only she didn't detest the taste of un-fresh cake.
''Où oh où est une fille mignonne qui désire de partager de mon gâteau?'' she bemoaned loudly.

Adriel was having a rather good day so far. She managed to strike a deal with a guy from the Bolt Dorm to get herself a Doduo. Which, while she would have preferred to go out and catch one on her own, she kinda couldn't pass up the chance to buy this strange yet awesome bird. Either way, it brought her to a grand total of three Pokemon. And her team was fairly balanced so far, so that was all the better. Now she really felt like she was ready to go out and try to find a wild Pokemon to capture.
Either way, she was on her way out of the dorm when she noticed a girl from a different dorm; based on her uniform, she seemed to be from the Wave Dorm. She couldn't help but notice she seemed a little down. Letting out a sigh, Adriel approached her "Nope. This will not do. Someone as pretty as you should be smiling, not sitting here looking all upset." Taking it upon herself to sit next to Amanda, Adriel gave her a friendly smile.

With a light yelp: Amanda jumped in her seat as a surprise voice came from behind. Turning her head: she could watch just in time as another girl sat down.
A light blush colored her cheeks as the Blonde blinked a few times: trying to get her mind on the proper track. She hadn't thought anyone else was present in the Dorm room: so this made it all the more embarrassing that someone had actually possibly heard her.
She hoped that the other girl, the newcomer: wasn't Kalosian. Had she actually understood, this situation would be very awkward very fast. Indeed, the Nature Dormer had called her pretty! Oh dear, she understood, this was very very bad.
Offering her hand, Amanda put on a light smile. ''Oh, I didn't see you there! Amanda Dupomme, it's a pleasure to meet you.'' She spoke comfortably, thankful that the despite the surprise she was able to fall into her practiced politeness.

As it turned out, Adriel didn't understand a single word of what Amanda had said; she just couldn't stand the sight of a cute girl looking down for any reason. Either way, when Amanda introduced herself, she smiled and nodded "Nice to meet you. My name's Adriel Sorano. Say...if you don't mind my asking, what was that you said a second ago? It sounded like Kalosian, but...well...let's just say the one time I tried to learn it, it didn't quite work out. Only thing I remember is how to say "cheese omelette". Omelette du fromage~ Heh...that always was fun to say..."
Then, realizing how silly she probably just made herself look, she cleared her throat. "Aaanyway...just out of curiosity, what brings you out here? I'm pretty sure you're not in our dorm. I definitely would have remembered seeing you around. If you're waiting for someone, I can check back in see if they're in their room~"

Amanda smiled at the other girl, somewhat relieved that what she had said had gone misunderstood. The smile broke into a laugh as she heard the only thing the other girl: Adriel, knew how to say.
''Yes, It was indeed Kalosian I spoke, as it is my native tongue. Don't worry about what I said though, it was nothing important... just something about a cute girl.'' The blush remained on her cheeks. ''Although, Omelette du fromage is certainly a strange phrase to remember, I must say!'' She giggled.
With another soft sigh: Amanda shrugged and brought up the basket. ''You are also correct about me not being from here, I am Wave Dorm.'' She explained: ''I was here to surprise a friend of mine with a picnic. Although also friend who just called me to say that she was busy, as it so happens.''
Curiously, she turned back to Adriel. ''Perhaps you would care to join me in her place? Would be an awful shame if this food were to go uneaten.''

Adriel couldn't help but laugh at herself when Amanda pointed out how odd it was that she only knew how to say "cheese omelette" in Kalosian. "Yeah...not really sure why...that one just stuck with me for some reason." Sure, it was a little silly, and she knew that. Still, it was fun to say, and that was all that Adriel, being the simple girl she is, really needed. Either way, she nodded when Amanada went on to explain that she had come to meet someone, but whoever it was ended up not being here. "Ah, I see. Well, that sucks. But if they're busy, then it can't really be helped, huh?"
Then, Amanda surprised Adriel by offering to let her take this mystery girl's place for the intended picnic. Free food, plus getting to spend time with a hot girl? It took Adriel approximately one second to decide; like hell she was going to pass up something like this. Of course, she decided to be a tad more tactful when she actually responded "If you don't mind that it's me, then I'd love to."

With a cheerful nod, Amanda rummaged through the basket, producing several small wrapped cakes and a thermos of tea. ''I do hope you like raspberry!'' she giggled, neatly and expertly arranging them all on the table next to the sofa both girls sat on. She had set enough tables that she could do so without too much attention: so the moment was good to take in the other girl.
Adriel was certainly cute, enough to bring a blush to the face of the Kalosian. While she hadn't always noticed people in that manner, ever since she started being together with Seria, girls seemed far more prominent to the blonde. Enough that she was starting to feel like she leaned towards one particular gender rather than both. While the Nature Dormer seemed to the opposite of herself, petite and slender. It was rather attractive in it's own way.
Smiling, Amanda curiously tilted her head: wondering what the other girl was thinking at that moment. ''So...'' she questioned. ''Tell me more about yourself, Miss Sorano?''

Adriel smiled as she saw the caked, and laughed lightly at her comment "Personally, I prefer orange and strawberry, but raspberry is definitely a close third. Not really a fan of lemon or lime, though...never was very big on anything sour." Letting out a sigh, she took one of the cakes and unwrapped it. Then, she took a bite...and her face practically lit up "Holy crap that's good. I haven't had a cake that good since that bakery closed down. Someone's Togepi went berserk and wrecked the place. The owner was able to fix everything, but, in the end, the financial damage ended up being too much, so they never fully recovered from it. Shame, too. He made some great food..."
Letting out a sigh, she took another bite of cake, then blinked when Amanda asked Adriel to tell a little about herself. Amusingly, there was one subject that actually made Adriel feel a little awkward; herself. "Eh?...er...not really much to tell, honestly. I grew up in Unova...Castelia City, to be exact. I also spent the majority of my childhood getting into trouble for beating up older kids that had been bullying the younger ones..."

Amanda giggled softly, rather amused by the behavior of the other girl. Unlike the Kalosian, Adriel seemed much more relaxed and chatty. It was unusual for the blonde, but not altogether unpleasant. She bit her lip softly, refraining from making any comment on the rather blunt expression the Nature Dormer presented towards the cake. It wasn't really the best way to say something was good, a bit uncultured even, but as long as she liked it, that was fine, and dear god that girl talked a lot.
Amanda pushed the thoughts away, listening intently as Adriel began to narrate her life, at least the abridged version. Bullying vigilantism seemed a bit... odd, the blonde was starting to get a better idea of the other girl, but she was curious to know more.
''Sounds like you were a bit of a vigilante.'' Amanda smiled politely, taking a bit of her own cake, delicious as always. ''You didn't strike me at first glance as that much of a fighter. Most of girls I know that are into that aren't quite so... cute and slender...''
It could be interpreted as a bit of a stinging statement, perhaps, but a genuine one at that. Amanda couldn't help but wonder how someone like Adriel could get into fighting.

Adriel blinked at Amanda's comments, smiling a bit as she referred to her as a vigilante. "...I guess you could say that. Admittedly, I didn't even think of it like that. I just couldn't stand the sight of anyone picking on someone smaller or weaker than they were" Then came Jenny's next comment, and she couldn't help but blush lightly as she called her cute. "Heh. I get that a lot, though, honestly, I've never been a particularly good fighter. I can hit hard, sure, but I'd be in trouble if I ever ended up in a straight-up fist fight. That's why I always try to end it before they can react."
Taking another bite of the cake, she nodded deciding it was time to change the subject. "Alright then. That's enough about me. Now it's your turn to talk about yourself." Coming from anyone else, that might have sounded rude. But for Adriel...well, if it wasn't already obvious, subtlety was never really her strong suit. After talking about herself, she was genuinely interested in hearing Jenny do the same, and it showed in her expression. It's just how she was.

Pursing her lips, Amanda nodded understandingly. ''No, it's quite admirable actually, I've known people who were quite horrid in the past, someone like you would have been amazingly desired then.'' Then breaking into a smile, Amanda giggled and sipped her tea, not entirely unwilling to speak about herself. It was one of her favorite topics, after all.
''Mais-oui, where could I begin? I suppose the easiest place to start is that I'm from Kalos, if my language didn't give that away...'' Amanda chuckled. ''I was born in Lumioise, but I've spent the greater part of my life living in this wonderful historic community, Camphrier town. It's right there in the warm southern parts of Kalos, right between several historic centers: Parfum Palace, Shabboneau Castle, and the Battle Chateau, perhaps you've heard of them?''
Crossing her legs, Amanda paused to take another sip, inquisitively observing the other girl. ''I love history though, I grew up all around it, so I was one of those young girls that always took part in the festivals and re-enactments, vous comprenez: activities set for tourists, dressing up and playing roles at the palace, things like that. It was all quite amazing, really!''

Sad to say, most of what Amanda told Adriel regarding Kalos more or less went right over her head. She, of course, meant no disrespect to her or her home region. However, she pretty much hadn't heard of any of the places she mentioned. "Er...sorry. None of those places ring a bell for me...but, they do sound pretty interesting." Then, as she went on to talk about her interests, learning about history and whatnot, which was something Adriel could relate to a little more. She didn't really seem like the type, but Adriel did enjoy learning. Not anything in particular; just learning about different things in general.
With a smile she nodded "Sounds like I'm gonna have to visit there some day. I never gave much thought to learning about or visiting other Regions before, but...I gotta admit, you're making Kalos sound pretty good right now." Adriel then thought quietly to herself, letting out a sigh "As for Castelia...well, our Gym Leader is also a famous artist, and it's the largest city in Unova...other than that, I'm afraid we don't have much going for us..." She let out a soft sigh. If there was any significance to where she lived, then it was completely lost on her.

Amanda sighed softly, unable to ignore the slight tinge of disappointment at the lack of new information. She had hoped to learn a bit more about Castelia, and that didn't seem to be happening. Yet, the more she thought about the situation, she realized it wasn't so much the lack of information as the way that Adriel downplayed the importance of her hometown.
''Nonsense...'' Amanda put on a fake smile, waving her hand dismissively. ''Every town and city has some sort of interesting history behind it, even if you aren't a historical nut like myself, everything has a story and a value, perhaps just not a readily apparent one?''
Studiously, the Kalosian took a long drink of tea, her eyes never leaving the other girl. ''For example, it gave us a beautiful girl like yourself, so I would count that a strong point in it's favor!''

Adriel blinked at what Jenny said, then let out a soft sigh, smiling lightly. "True enough. Though, if the city does have any historical significance, then you're asking the wrong girl about it. Most I'd be able to do is show you around." Actually, now that Jenny got her thinking about it, Adriel couldn't help but wonder if there was anything significant in Castelia's history. Maybe she'd ask her parents about it when she had the chance. They'd be far more likely to know than she would. She couldn't imagine what such a thing would possibly be, but you never know what might surprise you.
Then came the comment about Adriel being beautiful. This was enough to cause the girl to blush, but she was quick to recover "What? No no no. I might be a lot of things, but I'm definitely not "beautiful". Besides, you're far more beautiful than I am...in fact, if you're not doing anything later this week, how about we go out for some lunch? My treat~" It was then that she happened to glance down a bit, and notice how...generously endowed Amanda was. Normally, she wasn't the type to be so blatantly perverted but she couldn't help but stare for a bit, her expression a combination of awe and jealousy.
"...I'm sorry if this offends you, but I hope I get to be at least half as big as you when I'm older..." Okay, yeah. Not the smoothest thing to say after basically asking someone out (and someone would have to be pretty oblivious to not realize that that was what she was doing just now), but she couldn't help it. Amanda had an impressive rack, and, despite her attempts to not be outwardly perverted, she was a tad...easily distracted.

The blonde nodded in understanding. ''At least you know the layout of your town, that's something to be proud of!'' She giggled, setting her cup down on the table. ''Some of the people that shared my hometown, they would get lost quand ils sont allés au marché!
The returned compliment brought a light pink blush to her cheeks, Amanda felt it odd how, between all the girls she met on the island: how she could so easily compliment them yet feel embarrassed at the same compliment. Perhaps, she mused: it was a personal weirdness of hers.
Nonetheless, the notion of meeting Adriel once more for lunch seemed appealing enough: Amanda liked the girl, and was willing to familiarize herself with the nature dormer even more. She had not regrets on having done so with Seria, perhaps this would be no different? ''I would love to!'' She nodded enthusiastically, beaming at the other girl.
The last comment caught her equally off-guard, driving Amanda to blush deeper yet. ''I see...'' Amanda was by no means unaware of her physical state. Quite: the year she had grown into it had been marred by quite the attention, and the look Adriel was giving her was not all that different from what she got from most of her classmates.
''I think you look perfectly pleasant as you are, but I certainly wish you the best?'' The Kalosian responded, somewhat awkwardly. Still trying to gather her thoughts.
It was all still quite new to her, but Amanda had since learned how that wasn't all too different from how it was for everyone else, her age. She herself was starting to notice how others looked in that way, and Amanda was hardly willing to blame Adriel being in the same situation.
However; she finally decided: it didn't mean she couldn't have some fun. Knowing that others liked how she looked: it made her feel confident.
''Do you like what you see, Miss Sorano?'' Amanda purred, arching her back ever-so-slightly to give the other girl a better view.
