After the attack, Crispin's mind was running a million miles a minute. He didn't know what exactly to think or what anyone at the academy should do. It wasn't like he wasn't learning things here, hell, one could argue where else would you get first hand experience in combat like they did the other day? Still, his team needed to recoup like nobodies business, and he was still trying to make it up to the little Skitty after that. Emer trotted cautiously at his side, a little more nervous than probably should be for a Pokemon. She was skittish ever since being drawn in the middle of that battle just to be knocked unconscious shortly after, and with every right to. Crispin felt terrible, but was hoping a little exploration and controlled battle would help her calm.

Crispin had to admit walking through such a wide open area was making him antsy. There didn't seem to be all that much to see, and other than the lightning rods off in the distance. Even with his thoughts rattling around in his brain it wasn't in his nature to just walk somewhere that didn't have much to explore. It was when Emer chirped quietly at his side that he noticed the strange thumping sound in the distance. He frowned, looking to see where it was coming from. It continued to get closer until he finally noticed it─a strange blue streak headed his way. Crispin squinted, trying to place what exactly it was, when he realized that if he didn't move he would get run over.
Jumping to the side just in time, much to the fright of little Emer, he pointed at it just as the blur turned to head back their way. "Em, Mud Slap it!" The Skitty focused, obviously still a little frightened but trying to make the better of things. Right as the blur closed in, she whapped the moist soil with her tail, throwing a pile of mud right into the Pokemon's face. It crashed, the mud putting a stop to it's wild charge. Standing back up it shook the mud off, and Crispin was finally able to figure out what it was. It was an off colored Blitzle, and his eyes widened. The Blitzle took the brief moment of shock as a chance to charge at the Skitty again, sparks flying off his coat as he did.
Before he could yell out for Emer to watch out, she was hit with the Blitzle's attack and pushed back drastically. The only upside Crispin could see was that the horse seemed to hurt himself in the process, and he stood for a moment to shake himself off. Jumping at the brief opportunity he was given he yelled out to Emer again. "Once more Em! Mud slap!" As the horse started to charge again, Emer hit her tail against the ground once more hitting the Blitzle with a heavy ball of mud. It hit it hard, and the Blitzle fell over in a daze. Before it had a chance to stand back up, Crispin threw the ball and crossed his fingers. That attack hurt Emer pretty bad, he was worried what would happen if the horse tried to hit her again...
