Amanda groaned, wringing the water from her hat as she glared at Muddy. Standing next to her, the large Swamperet grinned sheepishly, both amused and embarrassed at having soaked his trainer.

Supposedly, the only way to enter the Dragons Den was via Waterfall, and while Amanda had a Pokemon capable of doing that, she had assumed the same Pokemon would do it in a less incredibly soaking manner. With a sigh, she plopped the wet beret back onto her equally moist hair, shooting daggers at the silly Pokemon. She imagined it was intentional, and it was more than likely something that would be brought up later that night: but for now the girl simply wanted to get dry and warm again.

A roar echoed through the caverns of the den, drawing the attention of the young Kalosian. As she was currently in a place known for Dragons and Fire-Types, she imagined warmth would not be a difficult thing to locate, so long as she didn't dally about. With a shiver and a final glance at the Swampert: Amanda set off deeper into the tunnels before her.

Pokemon and trainer were interrupted on their not so merry journey.
By a Pignite, had been doing arm thrusts all morning.
A proud little thing, physical training was his dream.
Every morning for breakfast he drank twelve pints of cream.
The Pork Chop raised an arm, showing off a proud muscle.
Yet all it elicited was a lightly amused chuckle.
Dissapointed, the Pignite went off to play.
For Swampert and Trainer to go forth with their day.
Although he is cute, and the description is somewhat amusing.
This is not a Pokemon of Amandas choosing.
For this I apologize, for it might be so crass.
But Amanda and Co. will simply have to Pass!

Amanda squealed in surprise, narrowly avoiding a hand that shot out of the darkness, trying to grab at her dress. Angrily, she pulled a flashlight from her purse, shining it towards the source as her Pokemon took on a fighting stance.

Before the two was a rather embarrassed-looking Magmar, seemingly caught in his lecherous attempt to put his hands all over the girl. Amanda scoffed, annoyed with the rudeness of the Pokemon. While she might have otherwise been interested in catching him: with that sort of behavior, the Magmar would find no place on her team. The young girl turned to the Swampert. ''Let's go, leave this wretch alone!''

The two set off, leaving a very dejected looking Magmar.

A smile crossed her lips, the Pokemon before Amanda didn't seem overly interesting in arm thrusts, or trying to grope her. Perhaps this was a Pokemon with merit, unlike the others before it.

She intended to capture it. At first, the girls instinct was to simply have Muddy take the Pokemon down with a quick earthquake or surf. It would be the easiest way to knock the Charmander out. Yet... she bit her lip thoughtfully. Perhaps it wouldn't be particularly sporting of her, let alone that the sheer difference in power could lead to an accidentally hurt the little lizard in some serious way.

Gesturing for her Pokemon to stand back, Amanda flicked her wrist: releasing Dorothy instead. Though perhaps the Ducklett wasn't quite as powerful as her starter, it was still a match in her favor.

Unfortunately for the young girl, be it from realizing he was a target, or simply seeing a delicious duck to snack on. The Charmander had taken the initial attack!

The Charmander roared, loosing a torrent of flame that engulfed the duck, yet it seemed to have a minimal effect, almost as if it was the sort of move that no sane person would put on their Pokemon as it only dealt a fixed amount of damage.

In retaliation, the Ducklett furrowed her blue forehead: unleashing a stream of high velocity bubbles at the Charmander. The move had great effect, knocking the enemy Pokemon onto his back.

Desperately, the Charmander forced himself back onto it's legs, wobbling as he dashed towards the duck, slashing desperately. The duck winced at the claws, smacking the lizard away with her wings as she...

Unleashed a new torrent of bubbles, the force knocking the Charmander back once more. This time for good as the force was simply too much the handle. With a soft moan, the Charmander fainted.

Smiling triumphantly, Amanda nodded in approval at her Pokemon, tossing a Pokeball at the downed Fire-Type.
