A Stunning Thrill (MOD)

It was about a day or so after Breeding Class had ended that Aile had decided to go exploring somewhere that seemed fun, but not too terribly far away from the dorm. After all, he was only really familiar with some of the buildings, not the entire island. So, a place that seemed interesting AND nearby just happened to be the abandoned power plant. Now, he did take proper precautions as he entered the area that a good explorer would normally take, like bringing a backpack stocked with some supplies, a map and other important things of the sort.

So, Aile quickly arrived to the plant, with Totodile excitedly marching behind him and Aron quietly waddling behind his legs. He was sure this place would be full of excitement, and more so with pokemon. And while he was here primarily for exploring, he was hoping for an encounter with a new pokemon friend, it would make the trip much more memorable. And thus he began walking through the old power plant, looking forward to whatever he may find.

Behold! A wild Pokemon appeared!

Some more time passed as he wandered through the power plant, inspecting some of the older devices as he passed by them. And all was going well until something foul had hit the air, burning Aile's lungs as he breathed the air. "Oh...oh dear. What is that smell?!" Chompers tried covering his nose, only to have no success. Mega, however, didn't really seem to be bothered by the stench as they passed by, though Aile was curious as to what it was. And after a little bit of a side exploration, they had found the cause; it was a little trubbish, though Aile was a little clueless on the pokemon. So he pulled out his pokedex to learn a little bit more about it.

"Sorry fella, but you aren't what I'm looking for at the moment," the boy had said quietly before backtracking and then continuing on his merry way into the depths of the power plant. "I don't really know what I would like, I just know that it needs to be an electric type," pausing before he continued,"I wonder what all electric types are here," he wondered out loud as he continued down the passage way he was currently on.

A few more minutes passed since he had left behind the trubbish, and honestly, Aile felt a little bad. He had a feeling that the pokemon would have liked him, but Aile wouldn't have been able to take the smell, and with his tendency to leave his pokemon out of their pokeballs, there would have been a constant air of foulness around him; not that the pokemon was bad, but Aile felt that he wouldn't have gone very far with the little trash monster. And while he was in this little world of his, in his mind, Aile ran into a wall and something fell, though he paid no attention to it first.

That was until it's constant squeaking and such continued as it followed him, trying to get it's attention. Aile turned around and though he was starting to go a little crazy, until he looked down and saw the little Joltik, hopping up and down, squeaking at him angrily, and the young man suddenly had goosebumps. "I-I-It's a bug," he muttered out weakly. Aile had a dislike for bugs, not that he really didn't like them, but it was more of the fact that they were generally really small and creepy crawly. But upon a little closer of an inspection, Aile realized that it was actually kind of cute. Cuter than some of the other bug types he'd seen before at least. And he did his usual thing, as he pulled out his pokedex and learned with surprise, that this was an electric type.

"Yup, Imma catch ya, because you are adorable, AND you are an electric type."

He then withdrew Totodile, for obvious reasons, before managing to scoot Mega in front of him. "Alright Mega, my little friend, I need you to help me out with something. I know you are probably scared, as you are scared of almost everything except Chompers, but I need you to do this, I need you to help me catch you a new friend." Mega nodded slowly, affirming that in the very least, he understood the emotion in Aile's voice.

"Alright Mega, let's start off with IRON DEFENSE," The young boy began enthusiastically. Mega nodded to this, before bowing his head down before briefly covering himself in a silver-like sheen. The little Joltik did not respond in a like-wise defensive manner. Instead, it had launched off a SPIDER WEB at the little Aron, that had taken to bracing itself. "Oh, how lovely," Aile had muttered.

Next, now that Mega had a suitable increase to his defense, it was time to go on the offensive. "Alright Mega, use MUDSLAP!" he said. And right before Mega had launched off his attack, Joltik came in with a SUCKER PUNCH, throwing Mega off balance, before he missed with the MUDSLAP.

Aile had Mega follow up the failed mudslap with a Metal Claw, after the little Joltik had fired off a DISCHARGE, hitting Mega, weakening it considerably, and Metal Claw hit it's target as well.

It was then, that Aile came up with an idea, not to really attack, but rather to counter attack, and try to spook the little spider out of using that move. Thus, he told Mega to charge up Metal Burst, and the plan had worked out rather well in his favor. the Joltik had come in with a Sucker punch yet again, but when Aile yelled," FIRE!" the Joltik's attack had actually back fired, as right before the SUCKER PUNCH hit, Mega had launched of a concentrated METAL BURST, at point blank range, hitting the Joltik, and sent it a few feet back. For something so small, it seemed somewhat durable. And then Aile took this chance while the Joltik seemed weakened to try and capture it, as he threw one of the pokeballs he had with him at the seemingly downed bug.
