[Annie Prince]

Annie was as ready as she would ever be for this battle. She was nervous, to be sure, about going into such a public competition, but her team was prepared and she trusted them to do well. She herself was also prepared, as best she could be.

Stepping forward onto the tournament grounds, she looked for her opponent. It was to be some Lava Dorm boy she had never met before. Admittedly, the fact that he was Lava Dorm made her nervous; that was where the Fire-types were, which would certainly do terrible things to her team if she didn't take care. It was lucky that she had anticipated the problem and taken at least minimal steps to ameliorate it... now there was only to see how the battle went.

Click. Annie pressed the button on a Poké Ball. "Go, Senka!" she said softly as her Sneasel materialized. "And good luck."

Aki was not sure if he should've entered the tournament. He did not have the best luck in his first battle. Looking at the brackets he was going up against someone from the Wave Dorm. He was a little worried because of Missy and Clementine. But he could balance them out with Drago or Razor. After finding what arena he was in he entered the room and found her already there. She was pretty but he wasn't there to flirt, but it was in his nature to. Walking up to his side of the field he watched her send out her Sneasel. Huh, a Dark/Ice. Hope it doesn't know too many Dark type moves. Aki though reaching for his first choice. Hitting the bottom to make the ball grow he tossed it. "Let's go Razor"

The Honedge appeared in a flash. The Ghost/Steel type hovered waiting for his trainers command. "And Good luck to you"

Annie smiled, in an icy sort of way. A Honedge--how interesting. It was obviously a Steel-type, so she had the feeling that using a Steel-type move wouldn't be much help. And wasn't it also Ghost? This would be an interesting matchup indeed, each having a strength and a weakness to the other...

Annie's cold smile broadened. She was going to have fun. "All right, Senka. Let's start this off right. Feint Attack!"

The shadowy Pokémon strolled right up to the sword, a cocky grin on her face. Senka was perfectly aware that this was a performance, and she was going to milk it for all the showmanship she was worth. Casually, she got close enough to the Honedge that a human would have certainly called it a violation of personal space, and then delivered a punch.

Aki stood there confident that his one attack with Razor was going to be a one hit KO. He watched the Sneasel walk at and hit Razor. The Honedge took good damage but due to his high defense saved it form being knocked out in one hit. He also noticed that his opponent had a cocky smile on her face. Aki chuckeled a little at the fact she was't aware of her Sneasels weakness to Steal Type moves. "Alright Razor, finish this. Iron Head" The Honedge threw itself at the Dark/Ice type with 100% accuracy and No Guard as an ability it was defiantly going to hit. Akihito got the same smile that his opponent had but his wasnt going to fade.

Annie winced slightly as Senka went down. That looked like it must have hurt. She returned the fainted Sneasel to her Poké Ball and pulled out another. "It's all yours, Zlatan!" she called to her Swinub as he appeared. "Get him with Earthquake!"

Zlatan grumbled, or perhaps that was the ground beneath him. The powerful attack shook everything that wasn't protected or reinforced. Annie's face was still cold and betrayed little of her emotion, but she was very proud of her Pokémon. As she had expected, whether she won or lost, this was turning out to be a most entertaining match.

Watching the Sneasel fall made Aki happy. He was doing a lot better in this battle than he did in his first. Watching as the girl threw out her next Pokémon. This time it was a Swinub, it was cute just as was its trainer. The Wave Dormer gave it a command, Earthquake, another Super-Effective move on Honedge. This time after the hard hit she sustained from the Sneasel Razor wasn't going to last through this one. The bladed Pokémon gentle fell to the ground. "Amazing job Razor. You did what was needed." Aki thought for a little bit. Finally decided in who he was going to use next. Switching the balls he clicked the button and threw the ball. "You've got this Clementine." The little fire bird bounced out there and stopped. She looked at the Swinub awaiting her trainers command. "I'm sorry to put a frown on such a pretty face. Clementine, Fire Fang" The subtype of ground wasn't goingto save the tiny Pokémon. Clementine's mouth lit up with flames and launched at the Swinub.

"Good going, Zlatko!" Annie called out as her Swinub's Earthquake took down the Honedge. So far, all was going as close to according to plan as possible, and Zlatan was doing wonderfully.

The next Pokémon to be sent out was a Darumaka. That was the sort of thing that Annie had worried about, but Zlatan, her best defense against a Fire-type, was already on the field. He could certainly take a hit and return the favor. Probably her only chance of winning was to take down the Darumaka in a single hit, but at the very least she was certainly going to finish strong.

The Fire Dorm trainer's comment confused Annie a bit. Was he speaking to her? Well, it didn't matter. What mattered was the battle.

Annie tried not to cringe as the Darumaka's Fire Fang hit her Pokémon. The Swinub squealed and, to Annie's great disappointment, could not stand up to it.

Still, she had done all right. She recalled the fainted Swinub, petting the Poké Ball gently once she had, and nodded to her opponent. "Good match," she said, doing her best to hide her disappointment at not getting through the first round.

Aki stood there in utter shock. He wasn't surd what just happened. Did he just win a battle, though he was at a huge advantage against his opponent. Watching Annie recall her Swinub, he recalled his own before speaking to her. "Yes, that was a great match. Just wish it didn't end so quick. Was just getting into it." Akihito placed Clementine's ball in his pocket and spoke again. "Hope we can meet again. You had me worried after you beat my Honedge. Have a good day." He finished speaking and nodded to her. Turning, he left he battlefield. He wasn't sure if the other first battles were over but he was going into round two.
