After that battle in the haunted house and watching nearly all of his team get destroyed by practically one single Pokemon made him want to find one of his own. Sure he was proud of his team and thought they were tough, but they weren't necessarily tough enough. If Origin was going to attack again, they needed to be ready for absolutely anything. He had gotten a lot of training in since then and his team had improved, but he was sure they weren't completely infallible. The more the better, and that Nidoking was a beast. Either the King or Queen he was sure would be a help, he just wanted to try and add one of them to his repertoire. Looking for a Nidoran preferably, please!

Especially with the top-hatted Origin member admitting that one of his own Pokemon could be used against him, Crispin was determined to find his own to train. They were obviously quite powerful, and the more coverage he had in his team the better his odds would be. Still, he hadn't expected his luck to work out so well in his favor just a bit after he started his search. He heard a strange scratching off near one of the drooping swamp-trees and looked to see if he couldn't figure out what it was.
Digging at one of the roots was a small blue-ish rabbit, and Crispin froze. Judging by it's coloration and it's posture it was most likely a female, but Crispin was sure she would still do the job. Throwing one of his Pokeballs, he released one of his newly evolved Teammates. "Awrite Z, let's go! Win' attack!" The Golbat flapped in the air for a moment before diving towards the smaller Pokemon, bashing it roughly with his large wings. The Nidoran screeched in indignation, jumping up into the air and kicking the Golbat twice with as much ferociousness as it could muster.
Zephyr shook off the attack quickly, diving towards the rabbit again. He hit it hard with his wings and the Pokemon yelped, holding itself up by sheer willpower at this point. Wanting to avoid starting off this teammate on his team after being completely crushed, Crispin opted to take this chance to throw an empty Pokeball now, holding his breath as he hoped it worked. Crispin let out a sigh of relief when the Pokeball finally stopped shaking after what had felt like forever. Zephyr flew over and landed on his shoulder, and Crispin scratched his back in praise. He was proud of the newly evolved bat, and glad not only to add the Nidoran to his team but for the training Zephyr had gotten in the process as well. Slowly but surely he was getting better, and he was glad for it. All he could hope was that if anything else terrible happened again, they would be prepared for it. There was no way he'd be nearly beaten by a kid again.
