A Burning Passion (MOD)

OOC: I just learned that we can put up preferences for what pokemon we would like to catch, so uh, here goes.

(Preferred Pokemon Appearances: Charmander, Cyndaquil, Gible, Axew)

It was another boring day for the Bolt student, and one of the days that he didn't have class. So he was ultimately loitering around the school, taking a walk of sorts with his new teammate, Volt. And she was fun to play with, but Aile often found himself being overly cautious because of her tiny size. Though, while he was on this walk of boredom, an idea sparked in his mind. It was time for another adventure, one that was a bit further away.

So he went back to his room, currently devoid of a roommate, and collected Chompers and Mega for the adventure that would surely ensue from Aile's current desire to be free from the boredom. Thus the group traveled to the somewhat distant Mount Magmadyne in search of adventure and a new teammate.

And Aile was sure to pack the supplies he would need for adventuring, as he figured it would be a hot endeavor. Luckily, he was aptly prepared for a good old pokemon search in the mildly hot and humid caverns.

Aile was having fun with this impromtu excursion. It was warm, and somewhat quiet aside from the clanking of Aron and Aile's travelers backpack. Though, Aile did start talking to his pokemon here and there, and generally the one he was speaking to would respond in a cheerful manner. However this time, Aile willingly let Chompers take the lead due to his type advantage against most of the pokemon in this area, from what the young red eyed boy had seen, though Aile just hoped that Chompers' arrogant way of thinking wouldn't get them into any big trouble. But Aile kept pushing this slight worry aside; after all, they were just here to have some fun.

And not long after they had entered the cave, the small group had come across a lone Cyndaquil. So Aile pulled out his pokedex, just to check, and learned that Cyndaquil was a fire type. " I think I'mma need you." he said with excitement slowly showing in his voice. Thus the boy withdrew all of his pokemon except for Chompers, which Aile caught up to and said," Alright buddy, I need you to help me win this. I am absolutely sure you will dominate this, but if you don't mind showing off this once, I'll allow it." The Totodile simple shrugged and nodded its little head in agreement.

And so Aile began the battle against the recently appearing Cyndaquil, who seemed rather lax compared to some of the other pokemon he had seen. Aile was starting to get somewhat serious, and called out to Chompers," Use CRUNCH to start 'em off!" Though the attack was slightly delayed, as the Cyndaquil had managed to get a TACKLE in before Chompers had been ready. It hit and it had hurt a little, but it left him in a good, close distance to the enemy, and the CRUNCH connected with the little Cyndaquil crying out.

Chompers then hopped back a few steps before Aile said," Alright, now use water gun!" In which Chompers willingly obeyed. It was his first fight, and he was getting excited. And with a little luck, the blast of water managed to hit the Cyndaquil, knocking it over before it retaliated with smokescreen, blurring up Chompers' vision and causing him to cough and hack. "Chompers, you can pull through this. I have a feeling we're almost done!"

Aile then had Chompers attempt to follow up with another water gun, but missed entirely due to the SMOKESCREEN still blurring his vision. And the rather lucky Cyndaquil rammed into Chompers with ROLLOUT, knocking him over, and out of the smokescreen. "Gah...Chompers, you can do it!" was all that Aile could really say. All that was really left was another good hit and Aile was sure that Cyndaquil was his.

Though he was starting to get worried about Chompers, he felt didn't need to. Chompers was strong willed, outside of battle at least, and he had a type advantage over the Cyndaquil. And as Aile was calling for Chompers to finish the fight with another WATER GUN, Cyndaquil had hit Chompers with ERUPTION, knocking him on the head, bringing tears to the little pokemon's eyes. Only for him to get up, and blasting the calm, little Cyndaquil with the WATER GUN that Aile had called for earlier, sending it back a few feet with it somewhat struggling with standing up.

"I guess you're weak enough now little guy. I hope you don't mind joining our team," Aile had said as the tossed a pokeball at the Cyndaquil, with high hopes that he caught it.
