[open] Shopping Break

Ringo took out a piece of paper out the pocket of his jeans. It was his day off, but still he had to go and buy groceries like any good responsible adult. His mind began to scroll what food he had to buy for himself and his Pokemon. It took up at least seventy to eighty percent of his paycheck if he couldn't find good prices but he does need to keep himself and his Pokemon well fed.
The nurse carried his two large tote bags he is using to carry his groceries, his Chansey carrying her own bag with her tiny arms. The boy let out a yawn. There really was nothing to do on these types of days huh? Granted, life is barely getting back to normal what with the recent attack. He sighed as he tried his best not to think about the chaos that is going on. Interrupting however is him feeling a light impact on his back. He turned around.
"Oh sorry if I was being slow."

Vivienne had stopped at the market that day looking for some supplies. The Student Store on campus had a lot of the basic necessities of life alongside a ton of superfluous things, but it didn't have quite what she was looking for. While they various flavors of Pokemon for varying types, they didn't sell one of her Pokemon's favorite types of food.
That (and her own sweet-tooth) was the reason her small shopping tote was brimming with sweets. Candies, a box of cookies, even a cake-mix and icing to use in the small communal kitchen her dorm shared. She found herself bumping into a taller young man, a Chansey at his side, when she scanned the ingredient list on the back of a box of candies in her bag.
"Oh....no worries." She said when he turned around. She was wearing the creme uniform of the Nature Dorms, and she recognized him vaguely. Wasn't he some sort of staffer at the Academy? She could've sworn she saw him before. "I-I should have been watching where I was going." She was used to looking up at people, men in particular at her height. She bobbed her head to the side, offering him a small smile.

"Oh....no worries." Ringo turned over to a rather young pink haired girl who is wearing one of the standard colors of the Nature dorm. With that, Ringo could easily guess she was a student...and has a really strong sweet tooth. "I-I should have been watching where I was going."
"It's alright..." Ringo then turned to the Chansey peeking into the bag. "And no Leve, you can't have any, they belong to the girl." Ringo said. The Chansey pouted but none the less listened to what her trainer had to say. "Heading back to the school?"

"They're for my Swirlix." Vivienne said with a small laugh, though truth be told she was planning on helping a la Mode finish them off too. "It was a little surprising at first to realize that they lived mostly off candies and sweets, but I guess that's the reason they're called the Cotton Candy Pokemon, right?" She tilted her head to the side slightly, giving a small giggle.
She blinked at him asking her if she was heading back to the school. "Well, I was planning on stopping for a quick cup of tea at one of the Cafe's before heading back." Her voice was soft, as was usual for Vivienne, and she didn't look him the eye as she spoke, another semi-common trait for her. "You're....you work for the school, right?" She glanced up at the question, becoming slightly more bold. "The Nurse?" She was guessing based on the Chansey, and the fact that the more she thought of it, the more she could've sworn she'd seen him around the place. Making friends with people in high places had a chance to pay off, right? Especially someone who happened to check the health of Pokemon for a living.

"They're for my Swirlix." That actually explains a lot since those Pokemon tend to consume a ton of sugar to the point where their own bodies is as sticky as the substance they love to consume. "It was a little surprising at first to realize that they lived mostly off candies and sweets, but I guess that's the reason they're called the Cotton Candy Pokemon, right?" Ringo nodded in agreement.
"It's love for sugar especially human made ones might imply that they have coexisted for thousands of years for it to develop the bodies that they ha-" It was Leve's look of concern that made Ringo realize that he was going on. "But I am glad you are considering your Pokemon's individual dietary needs."
"Well, I was planning on stopping for a quick cup of tea at one of the Cafe's before heading back." The girl wasn't looking at his eyes. Ringo took a small step back to give her some space. "You're....you work for the school, right? The Nurse?" The girl asked. Ringo once more nodded.
"That's right, I'm one of the school nurses, Ringo Shiro. A pleasure to meet you." Ringo made one more note as Leve stood in between himself and the pink haired nature dorm student. "By the way, if you're feeling nervous looking at me, don't worry about it. I understand not wanting eye contact with other sometimes."

The man agreed with her dietary plans for her Pokemon, and even went on a bit of a ramble over the implications of Swirlix in history. It was a little odd, sure, but the girl didn't really mind it. She offered him a small smile as he introduced himself as one of the school nurses by the name of Ringo Shiro. She'd been right then? When he made note of her habit of not looking him the eye, she blushed.
"I...uh...I'm just not very good at it sometimes, I guess." Vivienne mumbled loud enough for him to hear. "Meeting new people, I mean." She glanced up, then gave him a small smile, "I'm Vivienne, by the way." She gave him a small bow, easier to not have to look him in the eye, "Vivienne Montmarche. Pleased to meet you." Rising up, her cheeks still slightly colored, she glanced down the street as her stomach grumbled slightly. "Uhh.......Well, I guess that tea's calling my name, with something to eat too." She smiled, "Would you, uh, like to join me?" She offered shyly.

"I...uh...I'm just not very good at it sometimes, I guess." The nature dorm student said. "Meeting new people, I mean." Ringo just simply gave her an understanding nod. "I'm Vivienne, by the way. Vivienne Montmarche. Pleased to meet you. With that, Ringo can hear a stomach grumble from the girl. "Uhh.......Well, I guess that tea's calling my name, with something to eat too." Viviane smield as she extended the offer to him. "Would you, uh, like to join me?"
"Sure." The Chansey also nodded. Ringo followed her eyes as she glanced down the street. "That cafe right?" It's been awhile since Ringo had some decent tea. He was a coffee person yes, but tea didn't hurt everynow and then. He bowed politely once more. "Lead the way." She was the one who offered after all.

Vivienne led the young man and his Chansey to the cafe, sitting at one of the tables outside the quaint little window. A server popped out to take their orders, to which Vivienne said, "I'll take a cup of the jasmine tea please. Three scoops of sugar and a sprig of mint to the side if it's okay?" The server took note of it, "And if you could bring me a slice of the double chocolate Charlotte with the strawberries in it, I'd be in heaven." She smiled at the server, who proceeded to turn to Ringo to take down his order before undoubtedly bustling off.
The girl fixed him with a soft smile as she contemplated what to say or to ask. There were so many options, so many routes to take in the conversation that stretched before them.

"I'll take a cup of the jasmine tea please. Three scoops of sugar and a sprig of mint to the side if it's okay?" Vivienne ordered as they got themselves seated. "And if you could bring me a slice of the double chocolate Charlotte with the strawberries in it, I'd be in heaven." The waiter was no one to Ringo's order.
"Jasmine tea. Two cups, one for me and one for my Chansey." The waiter nodded and walked off to take their ordered. Ringo placed his hands on the table and waited on the things that the two ordered. "So where are you from?" Ringo might as well start to get to know people from different places and such.

When he ordered and asked his question, Vivienne sighed lightly.
"Kalos, la région de la beauté." She answered in her native tongue. "Or, for those who don't speak Kalosian, Kalos the region of beauty." The girl glanced to the interior, where the waiter was getting their tray together, her piece of cake looking as delicious as she imagined it. Her mouth practically watered. Snapping back to their conversation, the girl pursed her lips slightly. "So, sharing is caring, right? Where are you from?" Her question was innocent enough, the sort of mild curiosity he'd display. When it came to information she might be able to use to her advantage though in the future, Vivienne was anything but innocent.

"Kalos, la région de la beauté." The girl said in response. "Or, for those who don't speak Kalosian, Kalos the region of beauty." The Kalos region...can't say Ringo was too familiar with the region aside from its name and the local language there and even then Ringo is still learning...and in his free time which he sadly didn't have much off. "So, sharing is caring, right? Where are you from?"
"I was born in Sinnoh. Canalave City to be precise." It was around that time the waiter finally brought them their orders. Both Ringo and Leve took a sip of their tea. "It's a peaceful port town. Plenty to do with the library being there and all." Ringo placed the tea cup down. "What parts of Kalos are you familiar with?"

"I'm from Laverre City." Vivienne replied. "It's near Lumiose City, probably the biggest in the region. Not much to say about it." She giggled slightly. "There's a Pokeball Factory outside of town, a gym. Some swamplands and a haunted house I guess. Very tourist destination chic, but for someone from Laverre? It's all pretty much normal." Talking about home made her miss it something terrible then, but fortunately the server arrived with their tea and her cake. She took a forkful of the chocolate and strawberry cake and began chewing it, making a noise of contentment when the fork hit her tongue.

"I'm from Laverre City." Vivienne said."It's near Lumiose City, probably the biggest in the region. Not much to say about it." Ringo is going to have to look that up. Lumiose is the only city Ringo has any idea about in the Kalos region. "There's a Pokeball Factory outside of town, a gym. Some swamplands and a haunted house I guess. Very tourist destination chic, but for someone from Laverre? It's all pretty much normal." Life there must be an adventure then.
"I see...then again Canalave is local to the islands where Darkrai and Cresselia are said to live. Suffice to say, they were times were things weren't so quite in town." Ringo said. He took another sip of tea as the girl was content on eating the cake. "So are you going to go on a journey after training here?"

She finished the cake in her mouth as Ringo asked the question, and paused for a moment. Settling the fork on the plate, she glanced across the street at some of the people passing.
"Honestly, I'm not sure what I'll do when I finish here....if I finish here." She sighed, "I was thinking about going into Pokemon Coordination or Pokemon Styling to be honest." Picking her fork back up, Vivienne pushed the layers of the cake apart slightly to spear a piece of strawberry. "I've only been in two battles since I've come here...the first I won, the second I lost. I'm not really sure what sort of trainer that makes me, you know?"

Coordination and styling? Ringo never really considered those back when he was journeying. "I've only been in two battles since I've come here...the first I won, the second I lost. I'm not really sure what sort of trainer that makes me, you know?"
"Well...we're young technically. We do still have room to explore." Ringo petted his Chansey. "The reason why I went into nursing is because I actually dislike battling myself. Take whatever paths you wish, but always remember what makes you and your companions the happiest."
