By the time Benji had made his way through the thick thorn-covered vines, with the help of Deku his Trevenant, he was in quite a bit of pain. Thinking he could just cover behind his Pokemon was a bad idea since whatever vines Deku cut would whip back and hit him occasionally. Wincing, Benji carefully pulled out a few thorns that had clung into the skin of his arms. "I need to be more careful next time," he said sighing as the magical vines grew back over where they had entered. "Or more like when we leave."
Shaking his head he rubbed his sore arms a bit before trudging into the Citadel. It was well worth the pain because this place was amazing. It truly felt magical and he realized why it was a restricted area. Even though it was pretty he knew it had to be dangerous as well. Who knew what kind of Pokemon were lurking about. Though that is why he was here. He wanted more of a challenge, and now that some of his Pokemon were stronger and evolved this was the best place to test themselves. Taking a deep breath he ventured deeper inside, partly excited and nervous at the same time.

He hadn't gotten that far in and he already ran into something. Though he wasn't exactly sure what it was. He flipped out his Pokedex and let it scan the weird looking Pokemon. "An Accelgor?" It seemed to just be staring at him, not moving, maybe trying to blend in? He studied it for a few minutes, it was kind of interesting but not something he was looking for. To humor the bug-type Benji pretended not to see it and continued deeper inside. If the Accelgor thought he was blending in and that Benji didn't see him, hopefully he would just stay put and not try to attack. That was the case, because when Benji looked back the Pokemon was no where to be seen. He shrugged and carefully navigated through the thorns to see what else he could find.
Action: Passing!

"OW SHI-" Benji yelled as a thorn-covered vine slapped him right in the face. A few thorns stuck into his cheek and he swore non-stop as he pulled them out. He'd literally need a suit of armor to be safe in this place. Wiping the blood from his face he grumbled as he continued onward, though he didn't make it far until something came crashing towards him. Benji held his ground, wide-eyed as a large Escavalier sped towards him looking ready to charge. It stopped a few feet from him, just staring just as the other Pokemon had earlier. Benji knew it wouldn't be as easy just to go around it like the Accelgor. This one seemed to be quite territorial. If he tried to run he'd get chased, if he tried to pass through...he didn't even want to think about it. "I need to get me some armor like that, it comes in handy in here doesn't it?" He said lightly trying to perhaps show the Escavalier he was no threat.
It shook itself a bit, the armor clanking loudly as it just glared at the student. "Not very friendly eh? Well you seem pretty strong, so you're coming with me." As he finished the bug/steel type was totally not happy with that, seeming ready to attack at any minute. Quickly, Benji grabbed a ball off of his belt and with a few clicks released his Charmeleon onto the field. He knew Escavalier's both types were weak to fire, so one hit would do major damage...enough to knock it out in one hit. Though seeing how the Pokemon was acting they better do it fast. "Hurry Duncan, use Fire Blast!" Duncan knew this was a dangerous situation and released the blast of fire as fast as he could. The Escavalier tried to dodge but its large body couldn't move fast enough. The flames hit dead on, hitting so hard that the Pokemon fell to the ground instantly. Smoke drifted from it's armor and you could even feel the heat that it partly absorbed. "Wow, nice job Duncan." His Charmeleon looked proud, a smug look on his face. "You're just lucky that it was so weak to fire." With a grin he grabbed an empty pokeball and chucked it at the bug.
Actions: Charmeleon used Fire Blast. 4x damage due to Escavalier's weakness. OHKO! Attempted capture.
