Steel Shenanigans [Mission/Tanya]

Somehow, this mission had an objective which was to get the gaggle of Mawile. She wasn't sure what kind of gaggle was it, but it must be invaluable to the client. And here she was at the caves on a black cliff which was good as there were some interesting Pokemon there. She was not here to explore as she had a job to do. A job that requires some skills and some fairly strong Pokemon to use against any Pokemon that appeared during this mission. Specifically, those Mawile would probably have some moves that could easily take out her ghosts, but she had two Fire types who could take out some Steel type Pokemon. Henry floated by her side as he didn't mind the heat coming from the sun. The ghostly lamp was more concerned that this gaggle could be well-guarded, but he was willing to go with it nonetheless.

Coming to this mission, Tanya knew that bringing Dani along was probably a bad idea. The Steel/Fairy type nullified both of her STAB's, so knowing that she left behind the pokemon for the mission, much to the chagrin of said pokemon. Instead, she brought a team that she felt confident would be able to knock out her opponent. She even brought on of her newer members, hoping to get some experience for him.
Seeing Alice and her Lampent, Tanya waved. "Is it just going to be us for this mission?" Tanya inquired, tilting her head before shrugging. "Oh well, I'm sure we'll be able to take on whatever comes after us." With that, Tanya prepared herself for the mission, hoping to get it over with sooner rather than later.

As you delve into the Obsidian Krag, you begin to look for any sign of the Mawile that stole the shipment. You search for a fair amount of time before noticing two Mawile off to the side. They don't seem to be doing anything in particular, but you can tell that they are near the mouth of an opening; potentially the opening to their nest. Though, they don't see you right now thankfully. What do you plan to do? [ ] Sneak past them. And what a surprise, two Mawile had been on the lookout, but they didn't notice her or Tanya yet. Since she knew that these Mawile probably had moves that could take out Henry in two hits, she decided that it would be best to sneak past them and hopefully be able to find where they stole the shipments. The ghostly lamp followed her as they tried to sneak past the unsuspecting Mawile and while they were chatting it up with one another. It seemed as those Mawile were discussing something that she probably wouldn't be able to understand since it was Pokemon speak anyway. If there were actually two Mawile, that meant that the gaggle they were looking for was probably close inside their nest somewhere.
Action: Sneaking past those Mawile.

Tanya was a bit hurt that Alice didn't want to say anything to her, but then she shrugged. It probably was because she wanted to focus on the mission. Whatever it was, Tanya only looked a little miffed as she went with Alice on the mission. At the sight of Mawile, Tanya wondered if they were guarding something or if they were just standing around. In any case, it probably would do them good to see what was behind the pokemon.
As she was going to talk to Alice about what they should do, it seemed that she had already gone off and tried to sneak by them. At first, she wanted to say something. Then she realized she probably wasn't going to listen anyways so she let out an exasperated sigh and followed Alice, wondering if they were sneaky enough to get by. Whatever happened though, Tanya had a feeling that this could all end very badly.

And then, the Mawile and their cohorts showed up. While the Mawile looked quite dangerous and possibly a threat to her ghosts, their cohorts were no pushover. However, that female Vibrava did look promising and actually can be a good flyer. She released her Mismagius, Servine, and Larvesta which left Henry to deal with the Vibrava himself. "Missy, use Magical Leaf on that Rhydon! Claude, use Aqua Tail on that male Mawile! Flynn, use Flame Wheel on that female Mawile and Henry, use Shadow Ball on that Vibrava!" The purple ghost summoned green leaves at the Rhydon which significantly hurt him and the Servine leaped up into the air and slammed his blue tail down at the male Mawile. The moth larvae rolled into the female Mawile while his body was wreathed in flames which made her cringe in pain. The ghostly lamp conjured a dark orb of ghastly energy and fired it at the Vibrava which seemed to hurt her.
The Rhydon tried to chip away at his opponent's health, but did absolutely nothing due to her being immune to normal attacks. The male Mawile rammed his metal head at the opposing Servine which did neutral damage. The female Mawile played with the moth larvae roughly which did neutral damage on Flynn and lastly, the dragonfly fired a green beam at the lamp which did neutral damage as well. "Missy, use another Magical Leaf! Claude, use another Aqua Tail! Flynn, another Flame Wheel and Henry, use another Shadow Ball!" The purple ghost spun around and released more green leaves at the Rhydon which hurt him significantly. The Rhydon fired stones at her which did neutral damage and the Servine leaped up into the air again and slammed his blue tail on the male Mawile which made him cringe in pain. The male Mawile rammed at the Servine with his metal head, causing the serpent with limbs to cringe in pain. The lamp fired another orb of ghostly energy at the dragonfly. The female dragonfly responded back with another Dragonbreath.
"Missy, one more Magical Leaf on that Rhydon! Claude, use another Aqua Tail on that male Mawile! Flynn, one more Flame Wheel should finish the female one off! Henry, use another Shadow Ball on that Vibrava!" The purple ghost spun around and released another torrent of leaves which made the Rhydon cringe in pain and fall to the ground unconscious. The Servine leapt up into the air and slammed his blue tail down at the male Mawile. The Mawile responded back with another Iron Head and Flynn had managed to finish the female one off with another flaming roll at her. The ghostly lamp shot out another orb of ghostly energy towards the Vibrava and the dragonfly responded with another Dragonbreath which damaged the lamp neutrally.
"Finish that male Mawile off with another Aqua Tail, Claude! Henry, let's finish this Vibrava with another Shadow Ball!" The Servine managed to slam down his blue tail on the male Mawile with great force which made the male Mawile fall unconscious. The lamp fired another orb of ghostly energy at the Vibrava and the female dragonfly struggled to stay in the air before she fell to the ground unconscious. "Alright. You're coming with me now." With that being said, she threw an Academy Ball at the Vibrava.

They got caught. Of course they got caught. It was like chaos theory in motion, with a whole bunch of strong pokemon appearing alongside the Mawile. Well, it wasn't like she was outright trying to avoid battles. Still, it was better to not be assaulted by a wide variety of pokemon without having the time to think about how to approach it. Sighing to herself, Tanya got out her pokemon and started releasing them.
"Brock, attack with Earthquake! Gundamu, do the same thing and attack with Earthquake!" Tanya commanded. When the two pokemon came out, they started the violently shake the ground. First Brock the Rhyhorn attacked, followed up by Gundamu doing the exact same attack. While Gundamu didn't seem to hurt by the Earthquake, Brock took a lot of damage from the attack and was nearly knocked out.
The consecutive attacks, alongside attacking the foes weakness for the majority of pokemon, meant that both the male and female Mawile alongside the Palpitoad were knocked out before they could even get a chance to attack. The only pokemon that was remaining after that assault was Steelix, who began to bury into the ground. Returning Gundamu to his pokeball, she looked at the place where the Steelix stood before.
"Brock, Earthquake." Tanya said, shrugging her shoulders as the pokemon began to violently shake the earth once again. Since the pokemon was underground, there was no way the Steelix could avoid the attack and he fainted before he could ever surface again.
Looking at all the pokemon in the area, she took a moment to decide if she wanted to catch anything or not. In the end, she decided not to. There probably was more to this mission anyways and she doubted that was going to be the end of the Mawiles.

After taking care of the waves of enemies, you proceed into the area that the Mawile seemed to be guarding. Stepping inside, you find something that plenty of people would expect from a Mawile den. A shit ton of Mawile. They all seem to be wandering around minding their own buisness, but up ahead you see a bunch of crates and such that the Mawile must have stolen! Of course, now that you've entered their lair, you are in plain sight. The groups of Mawile look at you for a second before you see two odd looking Mawile up ahead. Well, they aren't odd. But you can tell that they are dangerous. Looks like another fight out for you! And yet, the hideout had more Mawiles. More Mawiles, complete with two Mega-evolved ones and this mission was already going to be difficult without a team full of Fire or Ground types. Missy wouldn’t be good for this fight, so that left some of her Special Attackers to dispatch all those male Mawiles. The female ones she was sure that Tanya could deal with since her Pokemon could probably take them out in one shot. She sent out the living sarcophagus as well as the snake with limbs, and the moth larvae. The ghostly lamp had stayed outside in order to help out with dispatching the intended enemies during the mission. ”The female Mawiles are all yours, Tanya. I’ll take care of the male ones.” With that being said, the final part of the mission had just begun for all four of her Pokemon ready to fight their way to the crates.
“Nefertiti, use Will-O-Wisp on that Mega Mawile! Henry, use Flamethrower on the first Mawile and Flynn, use Flame Wheel on the second Mawile! Claude, use Coil to boost your attack and accuaracy!” The living sarcophagus summoned a flame that successfully burned the Mega Mawile, rendering his attacks useless to take down the coffin. The Mega Mawile responded back with an Iron Head, but it dealt little damage. He also had taken damage from the burn that the coffin had given him. The lamp released a stream of flames at the first Mawile and the small jaw Pokemon responded back with an Iron Head. The moth larvae rolled onto the second Mawile and he was visibly hurt by the flames coming from the rolling attack. Claude the Servine just increased his attack and accuracy while he coiled like a snake, prompting the third Mawile rammed into the snake with his metal head.
”Nefertiti, use Shadow Ball on that Mega Mawile! Henry, use another Flamethrower on the first Mawile! Flynn, use another Flame Wheel on that second Mawile and Claude, use Aqua Tail on the third Mawile!” The living sarcophagus fired an orb of ghostly energy at the Mega Mawile and earned another Iron Head from the agitated Pokemon. Luckily, the Mega Mawile continued to take damage from the burn as well. The ghostly lamp released another stream of flames at the first Mawile and the Mawile responded back by playing with the lamp roughly. The moth larvae continued to roll onto the second Mawile in which the Mawile himself was severely hurt by the attack. Lastly, Claude had jumped up into the air and slammed his blue tail down at the Mawile which earned him an Iron Head to the gut.
”Nefertiti, use another Shadow Ball on that Mega Mawile! Henry, one last Flamethrower should take the first one down! Flynn, another Flame Wheel should finish the second one and Claude, use another Aqua Tail!” The living sarcophagus had once again fired another orb of dark energy and she earned another Iron Head from the Mega Mawile. Fortunately, he had continued to take damage from the burn. The ghostly lamp released another stream of flames which made the first Mawile faint, much to his delight and the moth larvae managed to finish the second Mawile off with another Flame Wheel. Claude jumped up into the air again and slammed down his blue tail on the third Mawile which earned him another Iron Head on the gut again.
”Nefertiti, one more Shadow Ball should finish the Mega Mawile off and Claude, one more Aqua Tail on the third Mawile!” The living sarcophagus fired off another orb of ghostly energy with victorious glee as the orb successfully knocked the Mega Mawile out while Claude had leaped up into the air and slammed his blue tail down at the Mawile, thus landing gracefully after the attack. Everyone had done a good job, but it was not over yet. She had to wait for Tanya to do her part of the battle.

"Got it!" Tanya called out, taking a moment to think about how she was going to proceed with this. Intimidate was going to be a big problem if she didn't consider it. All of her pokemon that could do meaningful damage to the Mawile were physical attackers and just sending them out would easily lead to defeat for her. That's why she decided to take a different approach.
"Seria! Use Reflect! Nicholas, Swagger the Mega Mawile!" Tanya commanded, releasing her Duosion and Luxio. The Intimidates took action as both pokemon shaked when they saw the glares that the Mawiles had, harshly reducing their attack. Seria looked dopily out towards the enemies for a moment afterwards before doing a little dance, erecting transparent blue barriers around herself and Nicholas, reducing the damage of physical attacks. Meanwhile, Nicholas trotted around the area, looking smug before shaking his ass in front of the Mega Mawile, cackling while doing so and causing the pokemon to go into a rage, confusing the pokemon while raising their attack.
Seeing their leader being threatened in such a way, all the Female Mawile jumped into action, tugging and pulling at the Luxio and all of them using Play Rough on him. While it took longer for the Mega Mawile to jump into action, he eventually joined in the roughhousing, harshly pulling and tugging on Nicholas's fur and also playing rough. The onslaught ended up being too much for the Luxio, who promplty fainted, even with the Reflect mitigating the damage.
"Let's finish this off, Gundamu! Attack with Earthquake! Seria, attack the Mega Mawile with Shadow Ball!" Tanya commanded, returning Nicholas to his pokeball and sending out Gundamu. Gundamu raised his fist and smashed it into the ground, causing a great Earthquake to affect the area. While it was clear that Seria was hurt, the Reflect helped mitigate the damage and allowed her to continue attacking, amassing a black ball of dark energy in front of her, which she promptly shot towards the Mega Mawile. The Earthquake alone was enough to take out the majority of the Mawile, leaving only the Mega Mawile standing. While it tried to retaliate, the Shadow Ball collided with her, causing her to fly backwards and fall unconscious as well.
"Good job team!" Tanya exclaimed, flashing a smile at her two pokemon, one of whom just stood while the other used Recover to heal off all the damage she took from the battle. Getting out an academy ball, Tanya threw it towards the Mega Mawile. Even if she couldn't keep the mega evolution, she did want a Mawile.
"Also, when we go on a mission again, please tell me what your plan is next time." Tanya called out to Alice as she finished trying to catch the pokemon.

Capture successful!With the majority of the Mawile forces dealt with, the remaining Pokemon flee out of safety. This leaves you with a free opening to grab the stuff that they managed to steal. You also make sure to grab the mega stones that the Mawile had seemed to have gotten their hands on. Afterwards, you bring it all back to the Pokemart and claim your reward. Mission accomplished! You received your reward: 1,500 credits, choice of one of either: Flame Orb, Toxic Orb, or Metronome
