Cameron whistled as the Thorn Citadel appeared in the distance. “Wow, now that’s something.” He admired. “Whoever did this really wanted to keep something in there, or keep someone else out.” He noted, as the vines seemed to wrap around the large area in protection. As he got closer to the area he tried rubbing his hand along one of the thorny vines, pricking his hand as soon he touched it. He cringed for a bit, “Wow, these things can poke a hole in a sandbag. You really don’t want us in there.” He took a pokeball from his pocket and with a toss, sent out the cavalier bug pokemon, Escavalier. “Alright Lancerbug, Cut us an opening!” Cameron ordered, the stoic pokemon nodded and with two precise slashes made an opening for he and his trainer to forge onward. “Wow, a lot nicer than the outside." He noted, admiring the protected greenery. "Well, Let’s get to it bud.”  with, his admiration passed, he began to move deeper into the center of the citadel, ignorant to the fact that their entrance closed behind them.

As the two moved deeper into the sanctuary many pokemon seemed to pass them, more accurately, run away from them. "I wonder what the big deal is." Cameron mused aloud. With a shrug, he ignored the phenomena and kept his pace. There was something here for him, he didn't know what, or where, or why he even chose to come her in the first place but there was something here for him and he was damn sure gonna find it. They came to a tree with a Heracross sucking on it, presumably for sap. When the Heracross became aware of the intruders presence it bounce off the tree and glared daggers at the two. The Escavalier, seeing the challenge, scraped its too metal appendages together. Expecting the Heracross to attack, Cameron was stunned as he watched it run away in fear. "Tch, weakiling. Alright Lancerbug, let's get going."

Forging ahead they came to a large protrusion of thorns. "Huh, this must be where it all started." Cameron thought. As he walked around the tall branch he could see a part of it move and shine. "Huh?" Cameron stepped back from the branch, as it began to twist and tangle into a pokemon Cameron had seen before. "A Ferrothorn?" he said surprised. The Pokemon slamed its metallic appendages on the ground. Cameron, always eager for conflict saw this a s a sign of challenge. "Heh, alright then. Hero, Let's go!" he shouted, tossing a pokeball forward, releasing the small Darumaka eager for the upcoming battle. "Okay Hero, let's get the upper hand! Use Superpower!" Cameron commanded. The small Darumaka rushed forward. Picking up the spiked pokemon with ease and tossing it with enough force that the impact broke a tree in half. Hero winced in pain, the pricks from Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs definitely taking their toll. 

Ferrothorn arose from the rubble, it's body shining and hardening it's defenses. It was most likely expecting another physical attack. "Funny, Alright Hero, roast 'em with Overheat." Cameron commanded. The small body hopped into the air, taking in a deep breath, and letting loose a wild stream of flames at the Ferrothorn. When the smoke settled, the Ferrothorn laid on the ground, beaten and tired. "Nice job, girl. Alright, you're coming with me Ferrothorn." Cameron announced, tossing a ball at the unconscious Ferrothorn. With another pokemon in the fold Cameron and his group headed back to their dorm. Having to cut down yet another group of vines to  get out of the Citadel.
