Another Power Trip [Mod]

Sure, Astrid was still in the planning phase for how she wanted to rework and bolster her team.  But that didn't mean she couldn't fall back on old favorites.  And so, that was how she found herself exploring the power plant again.  The place looked almost exactly the same as last time, with a few live wires sticking out and causing trouble but for the most part...well, 'safe' was not the optimal word, but it was safe enough.  Still, Astrid took care to move slowly through the place to avoid tripping over anything.  Or, of course, to avoid running headlong into any wild Pokemon in the area.

After a short bit of exploring, some sort of rodent showed up, by way of getting underfoot. Astrid felt it poking around at her feet right as she stepped, causing her to nearly lose her balance as she moved to avoid stepping on it. Once she was away and steady, however, she turned, pulling out a pokeball and getting ready to fight and possibly catch the thing that had nearly tripped her.

...Oh, it was just a Pichu.

"Never mind, then," Astrid said, putting the ball back. Seeing the opening Astrid left, the little electric rodent scurried off under a piece of equipment and ran away.

What was this, another rodent? Another Pokemon that looked way too similar to the Pichu came running past almost as soon as the Pichu itself escaped. Astrid would have thought that it was another Pichu, aside from the more rounded ears and read markings. Her Pokedex identified it as a Plusle, but really, she was still stuck on the similarity. "Why do so many of these things look the same?" she asked, watching the rodent's progress with very little interest. It...actually didn't pay much of any mind to Astrid. Instead, it kept running after the Pichu, clearly chasing after it.

Well, okay.

Thankfully, no more electrical rodents came Astrid's way. Instead, her next visitor was...a fish? Yeah, it did seem to be a fish, but it was swimming in the air and occasionally giving off sparks. Was it swimming on electrical currents or something?

"Let's catch it and see what we can find out about it," Astrid said, throwing out Voyager's pokeball. "Voyager, you're up!" The graphical Pokemon materialized in front of her, coming together out of polygons to form its body. Astrid called out "Tri Attack!" to get it started off. It responded by generating three pixelated orbs of energy around its body, then fired them in three glowing beams of energy at the electrical fish.

The beams struck the fish and dealt what seemed to be heavy damage, but it held on enough to return fire with a beam of its own, this one definitely electrical in nature. Electrical energy arced to its body from surrounding wires and machinery, seeming to charge it up in the process. But fortunately, Voyager took only minor damage and recovered quickly. "Tri Attack again!" Astrid called out, prompting the Porygon to gather more multicolored energy orbs and fire them in a triple onslaught of red, yellow, and blue beams. This time, the floating fish didn't recover, and fell to the ground after the attack. Astrid took the opportunity to throw an Academy Ball at the downed Pokemon.
