The Garden of the Sun was old hat for Vivienne Montmarche; she’d caught several Pokemon in the thickets of flowers and they’d been her training grounds when she first arrived. Though she was still relatively new to the Academy, she’d gone from only having a pair of Pokemon to having a decent team, with a majority of Fairy types to boot. While hunting for another one of the magical miscreants in the flowers was always a viable option a recent study session reading Coordinating Today, the premiere magazine for Pokemon Coordinators and Contest Enthusiasts, had led her to purchase a fishing rod from the Student store for a break from hunting fey. She was looking for a notoriously shabby Pokemon who, with love and care, would evolve into one of the world’s most elegant and beautiful Pokemon. Even if they lacked the fairy typing, as long as she carried three or four fairies at a time she could still proudly call herself a fairy trainer, right?
The fishing line cast on the serene waters of the lake, Vivienne was perched on a slightly mossy rock near the bank of the lake, the sandy and muddy shoreline not far between the two. She whistled, softly, to pass the time.
(Preferred Spawns: Feebas plz.)

Reeling in her line when she'd hooked something, Vivienne pulled the tadpole Pokemon out of the lake, looked it over once or twice, and threw it back in without so much as an apology. It wasn't what she was after, and quite frankly, it's eyebrows were hideous. She re-baited her hook and sent the line reeling; at least those few times she'd tagged along with her dad fishing were paying off, though she wasn't looking for a fat Magikarp this time. Instead, she simply waited, though judging by the amount of bait she had left, she'd only get one or two more tries, tops.

When Vivienne reeled in her line, sitting on the end was what could only be described as a fish that vaguely resembled a beat up purse. She grinned from ear to ear when her Pokedex confirmed just what she was dealing with. The Feebas wasn't exactly the world's most threatening Pokemon either, so Vivienne recognized the perfect opportunity for a little training for her Budew.
"Let's go, Marmalade!" She released the Budew onto shore. The bud Pokemon cooed at the opportunity to battle.
The Feebas? Flopped around, before landing somewhat roughly on it's fins and narrowing it's grotesque eyes at her. Vivienne grinned, "This shouldn't take too long. Use Stun Spore!" The Budew released a cloud of spores, but somehow, the Feebas flopped out of the way. It landed on it's side in the shallows, splashing around to right itself. "Stun Spore again!" Vivienne called; the Budew released another spore cloud, just as the Feebas's tail slapped onto a rock and launched it into the air, out of the range of the spores.
"You have GOT to be kidding me." Vivienne groaned. "Let's change things up, use your Mega Drain!"
The Budew released several green energy vines, entangling the Feebas and draining it's lifeforce. The attack, successful, was a heavy hit to the Feebas. However, the fish landed roughly near the plant and began writhing, slamming and slapping into her with its fins, tails, and body. The Budew took some heavy damage from the move, but retaliated with another Mega Drain that had the Feebas fall back, nearly belly up. Vivienne lobbed her Academy ball at it with a grin.{Battle Summary}
Budew used Stun Spore! It missed! Feebas used Splash! Budew used Stun Spore! It missed! Feebas used Splash! Budew used Mega Drain! It's Supereffective! Feebas used Flail! Budew used Mega Drain! It's Supereffective! Feebas fainted!

Picking the Academy ball up from the ground and shaking it to remove a bit of moisture, Vivienne grinned. "You did wonderful Marmalade." She paused, considering what to name the Feebas, and hopefully future Milotic in her party. Decisions, decisions... She supposed finding out it's gender might help with the issue first. Putting the ball in the bag, the Kalosian returned her Budew to her own ball as well before turning back and heading in.
