So here Adriel was, doing yet another thing she never saw herself doing. This time, instead of trekking though an active volcano, she was climbing a mountain. Or, to be more specific, walking along the trail that allows one to safely go up the mountain. She wasn't quite brave/ambitious enough to start actually climbing it yet, though even this was more than she had ever done before. It comes with the territory of growing up in a large city. Aside from occasionally wandering into the desert in Route 4, she never really had much of a chance or need to leave her home and explore. As such, a lot of her experiences on this island were a first for her. Either way, she was enjoying herself.
Naturally, as one might assume, she had a purpose in coming out here. She had heard that a lot of Fighting-type Pokemon could be found here, and that was something that sounded rather interesting to her. She ended up looking up what distinguished "Fighting" as a Type. Technically, all Pokemon fought, so, initially, it seemed a bit redundant. But now that she knew what they actually were, she was intrigued. Plus the thought of finally obtaining her sixth Pokemon, thus giving her a full team, was too tempting not to pass up. So she was looking forward to this in more ways than one.

As Adriel wandered through the mountain, she spotted a Ducklett. She remembered seeing them fly around all the time back in Castelia, so it was one of the few Pokemon she recognized. Either way, it...seemed a bit out of place. You'd think a duck would prefer to be near a lake or a pond, not up in a mountain. All she knew was that it was looking a tad territorial, and glared at Adriel the moment he saw her. Sensing she wasn't going to get through without a fight, she nodded and sent her Magby out.
Now, anyone who wasn't a total n00b at Pokemon battles would probably ask; why her Magby? Well, to put it simply, Adriel derped. In spite of how obvious it should have been, it didn't quite occur to her that the Ducklett would be part Water-type. Instead, she saw a bird, and she knew birds were weak to Electric attacks, and her Magby, who needed some training anyway, happened to know one. However, before they could do anything, the Ducklett got the drop on them, taking to the air and charging toward the Magby in a swift manner, striking with its wings in a slashing motion.
Her Magby shook it off the attack, though it was clear that he wouldn't be able to handle too many of those. Either way, Adriel nodded "Quickly! Before it can attack again, use Thunder Punch!" The Magby nodded, clenching his fist, which began to crackle with electricity. Then, he charged toward the Ducklett and jumped up to deliver a devastating attack to the duck. In a single hit, the wild Ducklett was down. "...damn...I only meant to rough it up a little and make it run away. Bleh. I can't very well leave it here, can I?"
Deciding to take pity on the creature, she decided to take out a Poke Ball and toss it at the fallen Pokemon. It wasn't what she came here for, but her conscience wouldn't let her leave it there without at least taking it back to the school to heal up.
----------------- Summary - Wild Ducklet used Aerial Ace! - Spitfire used Thunder Punch! It's super-effective! - Wild Ducklet fainted! - Adriel used an Academy Ball!
