After having captured that Pikachu, Adolfina headed deeper into the Dragon's Den. She had very selective tastes for what to capture before leaving. She really wanted something to help with the hatching of her eggs. Power was also a good factor. Well, either way, the young lady needed to find something and consider if it was worthwhile first. That was always the first major step when it came to dealing with these things.
She just hoped it would be worth her time. While the Pikachu was saving her some work for a team theory, it wasn't really an amazing catch in and of itself. Compared to the finds of Sliggoo and Quilava before, it was a bit lacking. As the blonde proceeded further into the den, she blinked. An odd sense of deja vu struck her, as she found herself standing before yet another sleeping dragon. Not once that day, but twice, had such an occurrence occurred so readily and easily. What was with the dragons in the Den? Were they simply that comfortable? Was it simply that peaceful of a place? Whatever the case, it made her a bit annoyed. Survival of the fittest seemed to be fairly lax there. Whatever the case, the blonde just shook her head and sighed before turning away from the turtle-Dragon. Sure, it was good. It had potential. However, her priorities were a bit different today. So, rather than smashing that shell and taking the goods within, she was going to proceed onward and try her luck.

Continuing further into the Den still, the young girl found herself at a crossroad in her mind. For the third time that day, she had stumbled upon a sleeping Dragon-type Pokemon. More than that, it was another Gabite. She already passed up the first one she encountered due to a lack of interest and a sincere distaste for creatures that were so casual in their carelessness. Clicking her tongue, the blonde shook her head, balling up her fists. Her anger was going to get the better of her at this rate. Sighing, she tried to calm herself. Then, turning on her heel, she proceeded down another path. Hopefully, there would be something worthwhile down this next path. +1 to Mareep Egg +1 to Larvitar Egg +1 to Eevee Egg +1 to Cottonee Egg |

Better take some of their health too.) • Fiery Dance (Just to assert your dominance as top bug.) • Quiver Dance (Stat Ups? The best around.) • Bug Buzz (This ain't no bee sting, brother. Patience paid off. Good things came to those who waited. Sayings like these were often used to justify waiting or to pass by on “Good” things. An item was on sale? It'd be cheaper later. In Adolfina's case, she had waited to capture something, clinging to the hope that she would encounter something, later on, that would justify her search. In this instance, clinging blindly to such a hope had certainly paid off. As she proceeded into a certain chamber, the buzzing of a fiery bug reached her ears. The blonde smiled. She sent out Felix. It was time to begin.
”Felix, use Rain Dance!” The slime dragon caused precipitation to drop in the cavern, but some strange, logic-ignoring Pokemon magic. The Volcarona, fluttering about, didn't quite seem to realize that this was an act of hostility. That was pretty much its failing, Adolfina noted with a smile, before preparing for the next order. ”Felix, Muddy Water!” The dirty water, boosted by the rain in the cavern, slammed into the fiery bug, slamming it into the wall. It didn't do the thing in, but there was more where that came from! The bug fluttered about before firing off a blast of fire that seemed to enhance its own attack in the process. While it was likely a solid move, it was resisted by the Sliggoo's Dragon-typing, and, on top of that, it was weakened by the rain. Furthermore, considering that Sliggoo were pretty much walls when it came to special attacks, the dragon was a-okay.
”Finish it! Muddy Water!” A second volley of darkened water slammed into the bug, slamming it into the wall once again. This time, it briefly fluttered before dropping to the cavern floor. Eagerly stepping forward, Adolfina prepared an empty ball and tossed it at the Volcarona. +1 to Mareep Egg +1 to Larvitar Egg +1 to Eevee Egg +1 to Cottonee Egg |

With the ball clicking, and the Volcarona safely within her possession, Adolfina found herself smiling. Truly, her patience had paid off. A good thing came to the girl that had waited. At first, she just smiled. However, after a few moments, she laughed. Yes, she was in a very good mood. She was happy, even. Things were going well, despite the amount of effort it took her to explore the Den that day. Sure, her luck of finding the ideal things first seemed to be running out somewhat (she did find one thing she wanted pretty quickly, but it didn't count, all things considered). Whatever the case, she was happy enough. The Den still served a purpose.
”You did well, Felix. Stay out. We'll return to the entrance. Together.” It was a rare thing for her to offer companionship outside of bragging or necessity. That was a sign of her mood. She was just that happy with the way things played out. And, just like that, the two made their way back towards the entrance of the cavern. +1 to Mareep Egg +1 to Larvitar Egg +1 to Eevee Egg +1 to Cottonee Egg |
