Kalosian Quarrel [Battle Vs. Vivienne]

After coming off of a long drawn out battle Aki was yet again in the Battle Dome pitting his team against another trainer. This time it was a trainer from his home region of Kalos. It would be the second person he had met from Kalos since coming to Gray Garden. The was a boy named James, he met him in a cafe in town. Thought he was looking forward to meeting and battling someone from Kalos. Walking over he registered his team and took his place on his side of the battle field. He was using a completely different team then the battle with Tanya. He had finally evolved his Nosepass into a Probopass but he didn't want to use her quite yet. He had others her wanted to train, taking out a pokeball he started to toss it up and down as hr waited for his opponent.
[Akis team: Clementine the Darumaka, Seymour the Skrelp, and Sasha the Dratini]

"Bonjour." Vivienne said when she made it into the battle dome; she'd heard the other was a Kalosian, and though she was a little rusty with their native tongue coming from a fairly popular tourist town and living in an inn that catered to foreigners, she was still Kalosian. " Je ne pense pas que je n'ai pas encore rencontré un autre Kalosian à l'Académie."
She went to the machine, registering her team and glancing at the information on display about the other's Pokemon. This was going to be interesting, to say the least. Two members of his team sported pretty evident advantages against multiple members of her own team. Still, she'd been in dire straights before and pulled out a win against Alice, right? "Je suis Vivienne, heureux de vous rencontrer."
"You're up first, a la Mode!" Vivienne called, releasing her Swirlix. Out of all of the Pokemon she'd brought with her, he had the best defenses undoubtedly. She glanced across the way, nodding to the boy.
--------- Translations: "Hello. I don't think I've met another Kalosian at the Academy yet.", "I'm Vivienne, pleased to meet you."

Watching the young girl walk in and greet him in their native language, he was not all that rusty speaking it but her hadn't done much of it since coming to the Academy. "Bonjour" He said greeting his opponent. She then sprouted off something about not meeting very many Kalosians at the Academy and he had to agree with her. "Je n'ai pas rencontré un très grand nombre de Kalos soit. Je ne l'ai rencontré un autre, un garçon nommé James." He said in Kalosian, his accent becoming very thick when doing so. He watched as she took her spot and introduced herself. "Noms Akihito, le plaisir de vous rencontrer. He finished off in his native language, then switched back to common language. "Let give a go Seymour" He stopped tossing g the ball up and down. He held it out and clicked the button twice and released his Skrelp. It came out onto the field and just looked at the Swirlix.
Translation: "Hello" "I haven't met very many from Kalos either. I've only met one other, a boy named James." "Names Akihito, pleasure to meet you."
Action: Sent out Skrelp

When the boy didn't take the first attack, she nodded. How polite of him, to let the girl go first. She might just make him regret it in the end.
"a la Mode, let's use Psychic!" Vivienne called. One of the most powerful Psychic type moves out there coming off of Swirlix's decent Special Attack? It was going to be painful for the Skrelp, of that Vivienne was certain. It was why she'd taught the Swirlix the move in the first place; the two biggest issues that any aspiring fairy trainer had to face were poison types and steel types. Her Mawile and Klefki both neutralized those threats, it was true, but they didn't need battle experience to the degree her other fairies did. If she left the Skrelp on the field for too long, the battle wasn't going to be half as interesting.

Aki could've made the first move but he was a gentleman and ladies first. He knew that it was going to be an interesting battle because he never knew what was going to be in store. He still had a bad feeling about his last battle with Tanya. It lasted way too long. He had to give up, out he would still be there trying to ship away at the Bronzor health. When the Swirlix used a psychic move Aki realized that he should've gone first but it was too late now. He could do two things used Sludge Bomb and hit the Swirlix and have Seymour feint with out defiantly getting poison on it. Or he could make sure the poison was on the Swirlix before Seymour feinted. He was going to get the Toxic for the badly poison that was defiantly going to hit. "Alright Seymour, use Toxic" The Skrelp shot a toxic wave at the Swirlix.
Action: Skrelp used Toxic. Guaranteed hit because Skrelp is part poison .

Vivienne had expected him to retaliate with some sort of poison type attack, but Toxic? That was an interesting play, to say the least. In lieu of going for outright damage, the boy had opted to stick a rather nasty status ailment on her fairy. The incremental poison damage was going to be annoying at first, but if she left a la Mode on the field for too long it was going to be downright dangerous. Still, she didn't have anyone else with her quite capable enough to knock the Skrelp out as quickly as the Swirlix.
"Let's go with Psychic again a la Mode!" Vivienne called. The Cotton Candy ball of fluff released another wave of telekinetic energy at the Skrelp. After the Psychic left his body, the Swirlix hiccuped once, annoyed, and a few purple bubbles left his mouth as the first taste of Toxic damage whittled into his health.

Seeing that the Toxic took and that it was only going to be a matter of time when the badly poisoned Swirlix was going to go down. He knew when the Swirlix used Psychic that he had to establish poison on it before Seymour was knocked out. Watching the puff ball launch another Psychic at Skrelp and hitting it. This time Seymour didn't get up, though he did what he need to get done. "You did perfectly Seymour, you deserve a rest." Aki said recalling his Skrelp. He couldn't bring out Sasha, she'd get demolished quicker than Seymour. Switching pokeball he held his next one straight outand cclicked the button twice. Out came a red egg shaped pokemon with three yellow dots. "Meet Clementine" When Aki said that the Darumaka popped her arms and legs out and jumped around. "Clementine, focus and use Fire Fang"

The Skrelp down, Akihito responded by unleashing a Darumaka that proceeded to score a pretty strong Fire Fang. Vivienne pouted a little; if it was physically strong enough to do that much damage to Swirlix in one hit, her other two Pokemon didn't stand much of a chance. She had two main options available when it came to her Swirlix. She could go for another super effective hit, or she could induce paralysis. According to the Pokedex, the Darumaka's ability was Hustle; it explained the power behind it's attacks, but that power came at a price. There was always a chance it was going to miss with a physical attack.
"a la Mode...." Vivienne called, contemplating which way to take it. "Use Thunder Wave!" She called the attack, and the Swirlix released a jolt of electricity at the Darumaka. Between the lowered accuracy of it's attacks and paralysis, maybe Vivienne would get lucky?

The Fire Fang from Clementine hit the Swirlix hard and nearly took it out with one hit. Though the badly poison Swirlix took extra damage as well when it hit the Darumaka with the Thunder Wave. He had to Vivienne, she did have a range of attacks with her Swirlix but it wasn't going to give her the advantage in the battle. Even though Clementine had been paralyzed there was was a good chance she was still able to hit the cotton candy pokemon. Aki thought for a second then he knew HD was going to go for another Fire Fang. Pointing at the Swirlix he gave the command. "Clementine, Fire Fang to finish it off" He watched at the Darumaka started to prepare for the attack.

When the Paralysis didn't take effect, it was curtains for her Swirlix. Vivienne recalled it with a small sigh. Luck wasn't exactly with her this fight, was it?
"I guess that means you're up, Flan." She said, releasing her Ralts. She wasn't a fool. She knew full well that Ralts had the physical defenses of a wet piece of paper. If that Darumaka landed a Fire Fang, it would probably swing in it's favor. Nor did her little Ralts have much in the way of moves super effective on it. Regretting she hadn't blasted it with water when she had the chance, the girl glanced at her Ralts. What to do, what to do...
"Try using your Psychic!" The girl called. She'd faced down multiple steel types with her fairies before, but even so...something about the little Zen Pokemon made her a little antsy. Montmarche was really starting to regret not spending more time working on her new additions and their moves before bringing them into a battle.

The attack from Clementine hit again, the Swirlix went down. Clementine pulled in her arms and feet and closed her eyes and she looked like an egg. She was always one of his more goofy pokemon. She never knew how to sit still but most of his Pokémon were always focused when it came to battling. They always did what they were told and did their best no matter what. He loved every single one of them. "Clementine focus, we have a battle to win." When Aki said that she popped back and started hopping from foot to foot. "Close enough" He said again when he watched Vivi send out a Ralts, he hadn't seen one before and he took his Dex out and scanned it. It was a Psychic/Fairy, it would be not so good for Sasha. Though with the added attack with Hustle it may be taken down fairly easy. Though he did still have the paralysis to deal with. Vivienne called for her Ralts to use Psychic, it barely did any damage which gave him the perfect chance to move one step closer to victory. "Alright Clementine go for another Fire Fang." Her mouth filled with flames and started at the Ralts.

So the little fire type was immune to paralysis too?
Fuckin' figures.
Vivienne had to admit that sometimes, when things weren't swinging her way, her patience tended to wear thin. She hadn't really talked to Tanya since her loss to the girl; it was inevitable they would, but Viv was putting it off. She hadn't exactly been thinking the nicest of thoughts throughout their battle. The same sort of emotions were playing through her own mind as it happened. Of course, they never quite reached her face; Vivienne had learned a long time ago how best to hide her true feelings in order to dupe someone. She offered a slightly disappointed smile instead.
She returned the unconscious Ralts and released her final Pokemon with small sigh. There was no chance she'd be able to take on the the Zen Charm Pokemon, considering Eclair was a Cottonee who could only use Grass-type moves. Wasn't she close to evolving yet? That might give her a leg up in future conflicts.
"Eclair, use your Energy Ball."
The Cottonee collected a crackling sphere of energy before launching it at the enemy!

Once the Ralts went down the Darumaka jumped with joy. Aki smiled and shook his head, Clementine always put him in a good mood. But while she was celebrating she was hit by a Engery Ball from the Cottenee that was now on the field. He could devastate the poor grass/fairy type bit he wanted one other Pokemon to get some experience. He reached for his pokeball and recalled the Darumaka. "Great job Clementine, but give someone else some fun" Aki said as the red and yellow spotted pokemon disappeared back into the ball. Switching balls he held his arm out and it started to shake. This was going to be interesting, he was somewhat afraid of the look of this Pokémon. With his hand shaking he double clicked the button. With a flash of red light a Dratini appeared. "Lets see what you can do Sasha." Hr said with a little unsettling in his voice.
Action: Recalled Darumaka; Sent out Sasha the Dratini.

Vivienne watched him recall the Darumakka in favor of a Dratini and arched an eyebrow. His decision to get a little experience for the Dragon was understandable, but insulting to boot. The amount of time she'd spent on teaching the Cottonee new moves wasn't exactly...expansive. If only she'd bothered to give Eclair Dazzling Gleam. This wasn't the first time she'd been let down by her own shortcomings with the grass fairy though; it wasn't the Cottonee's fault. She merely sighed.
"You should know you're in luck." Vivienne said to Akihito, "my Cottonee can't use any fairy type moves at the moment. If she could...your little Dratini wouldn't last half as long as she's bound to." She let out a small mewl of a laugh at herself for it. "But that doesn't mean we're turning tail just yet."
Truth be told, Eclair didn't have much she could do in raw damage to the Cottonee at the moment. That being said, Vivienne did know they could drag the battle out a little while longer.
"Let's use your Energy Ball again Eclair!"

Aki hadn't planned that Clementine was going to do so well against the first two Pokemon of Vivienne's. He thought she was going to go down like she did in her first battle against Seria. It was one hit and she fell quickly, though it he recalled she was hit by a water attack. Sasha sat in the middle of the field awaiting for the Cottenee to attack. Suddenly a green ball of energy came hurling toward the Dratini. Hitting her, she cringed and shook it off. Staring back at the grass/fairy type, ready to attack. "C'est la vie" He said in his native language. It wasn't meant to be rude or anything. It was meant to be just a comment life in general. "Hope this make you feel better I didn't plan on Clementine doing so well. She usually has a really bad aim a lot of the time." Aki said hoping that it would make Vivienne feel a little better. He knows all too well on how getting dominated in a battle feels like. "Sasha, use Extreme Speed"
Action: Dratini used Extreme Speed. Attack Power goes from 80 to 120 because of +2 priority.
