William carefully listened to what Miss Eisenberg had to say. She talked about how Pokemon weren't always used for battling, which was a real no brainer. He didn't say anything about it, instead he simply stated the obvious to himself. However once she told Dracula to come down William almost toppled backwards. A foot had popped out from the ceiling, and it scared the hell out of him. It wasn't an everyday normal occurrence for a freaking foot to pop out of the ceiling, and it was unexpected none the less. This was just another reason why he wasn't fond of ghost Pokemon, they were creepy.
Recovering from his little, mishaps, William looked around the room. He hoped no one had noticed his little, panic attack. Trying to put that behind him now he stood up and made his way towards Miss Eisenberg's table to pick up a Tm, or Technical Machine. Once there he looked over the discs, trying to find Tm35, Flamethrower. It took him a few moments to find it, but once he did he took it over to his desk, before releasing Emanuel. Letting the Tm do its magic William waited for a moment, before his Mawile had learned Flamethrower. Placing the disc back into the sleeve he placed it back upon the table. With a small smile on his face William left the classroom with the free move on his Pokemon. So far Miss Eisenberg seemed like a pretty cool teacher, she might even be his favourite one.
Action | Taught Emanuel the Mawile Flamethrower. ((William has left the room, or thread, or whatever you want to call it.))

Oh... so that's what was in the cieling. Kyrie listened to the teacher for about half of what she was saying before going to playing with her pokemon's forked tail. That little activity halted when Mammon suddenly fluffed up while he stared up at the roof. She merely thought that he was being paranoid until one of the front row boys nearly fell from his seat. That was what caused her to look up and see... a foot. A foot that fell and turned into a cyclops. Being from Mana and having her own ghosts, Kyrie wasn't too surprised. Curious as to what sort of mishappen creature that was but not as shocked. Well, now she couldn't blame her espeon who had calmed down now that the creepy had appeared.
Giving her psychic-type a swift back scratch, the girl was back to listening at the mention of TMs. Now that was what made coming here and listening was all for. As the class began their ascents, Kyrie followed; trying to reach the teacher's desk as quickly as she could before people swamped her. When she did manage to finally reach the place with Mammon sitting on her shoulder again, the girl quickly scanned the disks for something she thought she could use. Settling on TM99 - Dazzling Gleam. She called out her shuppet and used that TM on him, before placing it back down and fleeing the scene.

Xanadu continued staring up at the ceiling as another Pokemon dropped through it. Astrid was sure it was a Ghost type, from what the teacher had said before, but...it looked kind of like a lantern to her. Oh well. Xanadu was satisfied and stopped her periodic glances up at the ceiling. Instead, she returned to occasionally stealing glances at the Espeon at the neighboring desk, and occasionally at the Pokemon that had been in the ceiling.
Meanwhile, Astrid continued to pay attention to the lecture, then perked up at the mention of TMs. So they were able to get a free use out of them? Awesome. Astrid jumped up as soon as she was invited to, then went up to the box and picked up a rather ominous one. TM 30 - Shadow Ball. "Here you go, Xanadu," Astrid said, using it on the Elgyem. With that out of the way, she made her way out of the room.

It seemed that others were in a similar mood to Tanya, either not wanting to ask their new teacher or question or too intimidated to ask. One girl did ask about how she managed to move around. Now that she mentioned it, she couldn't help but be curious about how she moved around considering her status.
She was glad to get an answer to the question though. Transport by pokemon? That could be quite an interesting thing to do. So far though, she only had Dani and Daniel. Neither of them were really fit for using as transport and even in their evolved form, Dani would probably be the only one who would be able to carry her around places. Maybe she'd get a pokemon to carry her around in the future though.
When she heard about the reward, Tanya's heart nearly stopped. Was this real life? Just for coming to class they could make their pokemon even stronger? That gave her even more incentive to go! She knew Battle Tactics was a class she was not going to miss if she could.
Taking out Dani and returning Daniel to his pokeball, she moved up quickly with her to pick up one of the TM's. While Water Pulse was a nice move to have, she would like for Dani to pick up a more powerful water move and she knew which one she wanted to use.
Picking up TM55, she used it on Dani, who looked up stoically at her and nodded her head once she was finished. After putting away the TM, she looked towards Miss. Eisenberg.
"Thanks for the lesson Miss. Eisenberg, I'm really looking forward to learning more from you this year." She thanked enthusiastically, bowing her head before turning to the back of the classroom and left. That was much better than she expected.
Note: Used TM55 Scald on Dani the Skrelp

Post by Sonia Strugatskaya on Jun 29, 2014 19:38:53 GMT
The woman answered Sonia's question before anything else. Likely because she was the only one to bother asking a question. As for the answer, Sonia was thoroughly pleased with it. This woman went everywhere on an Arcanine? That was. . . pretty badass. Sonia considered herself pretty badass as well. Especially since she'd be doing the same thing later. Once her Growlithe evolved? It would become her mount that she would ride around the island. That would be cool. After her question was answer, the woman went on about the other important things of being a trainer. It wasn't just about battles. It was about forming a mutual bond with one's Pokemon. Sonia began to wonder, just how she could make her relationship with her Pokemon mutually beneficial.
But it also seemed to be the end of class. To her surprise, Sonia would be able to teach one of her Pokemon a TM move from the teacher's TM Case. Interesting. Since she was already thinking about her Growlithe, she decided to give a move to her. After all, being cool and capable of being rode was one thing, but being able to fight was something else. Sonia looked through the cases when it was her turn and picked out one that looked good for her Pokemon. After that, she decided to head out. Not before petting the Arcanine once more, of course. The brunette didn't even notice the foot hanging from the ceiling at first, until it had managed to spook Jove into accidentally zapping his trainer with a slight jolt. "Ow! Jo, wh-" He started to scold the bug in a hushed tone when the Pokemon fell to the floor, making Crispin jump in surprise. The last thing he had expected from this class were Pokemon to literally bleed from the walls, but if anything the surprise just made him more excited. To him the prospect of being surprised like that every class just made it more interesting than it already was.
Crispin couldn't help but feel disappointed that the first class was already over. By no means was it a bad disappointment, though; on the contrary, from what he had seen so far he was excited to see as much of this class as he could. The fact that he would have to wait for more made him antsy, but if he had to he supposed he could manage a bit of patience. Having the teacher push preference rather than a specific course made it obvious this would be the class for him. It obviously worked, considering her winning streak after all. The only thing that made him nervous was what the class would entail, specifically. How much planning would be involved? She mentioned how this class would be one of science. Did that mean anything close to how much scientists had to sit and write out everything they planned on doing?
Whatever the plan, he was already resolved to come back. If she did plan on assigning them things to write out and situations to imagine, he would deal with that when it happened. For now, at the very least, it seemed like he got the choice to teach someone any move he wanted to. While his choices were limited, his eyes still glittered with excitement. Getting up, he walked over to the desk, smiling as he looked through his options. Finally he settled on one, taking the occupied ball off and releasing the Snubbull inside. Cecillia blinked around for a moment, before looking up at Crispin and yipping softly. He scratched her behind her ear, using the contraption. The canine tilted her head as the information was fed to her before grinning her goofy, toothy grin up at him.
After replacing the disk, the trainer gave his teacher a grin that almost mirrored that of his Pokemon. "Tanks, Miss..." he hesitated, realizing running late made him miss her name. Giving her an apologetic look, he continued without it, "Sorry for runnin' a bit late. I lo'k forward ta yer next class, though. 'Ave a gran' day!" Nodding his head as he waved farewell, he motioned for Cecillia to follow him and left, his Pokemon one move stronger for the day. Progress!

Post by Seria Floria on Jun 30, 2014 2:09:09 GMT
Seria sighed with relief as she soon realized that today's meeting was simply an orientation of sorts, to get everyone acclimated to what was to come in future meetings with Instructor Eisenberg. Seria then noticed that a Dusclops had appeared, dropping from the ceiling and stretching out. Was he there the whole time? Seria thought awkwardly, but soon enough, a heavy-looking case was hefted up onto the desk. Soon, the instructor explained that it contained numerous TMs that could be used on Pokemon, and that she planned to allow one free usage of a TM of choice on a single Pokemon. The line started to come up as the instructor did ask for "one-at-a-time" and of course, things needed to be orderly. Seria found herself somewhere in the middle of the line and by the time it was her turn, Seria sent out her Azurill.
Seria decided to pick one of the TMs there and applied the disk to Aquaelie, mentioning how it would help her sometime in the future, and she promised it as such. She returned the TM to its place in the case after using it.
Note: Using XY TM42 Facade on Aquaelie the Azurill

Post by Annie Prince on Jun 30, 2014 3:30:20 GMT
The class had been fairly short, as far as Annie could tell, but if anything she was more excited for Battle Tactics now than she had been at the outset. Miss Eisenberg did not seem to be what Annie was expecting based on what she had heard from Trainers before coming to the academy, but the differences were all positive ones. Particularly the emphasis on using those Pokémon which one loved, and the reminder of the value of the mutually beneficial nature of the human-Pokémon relationship. That was important, and Annie wanted to remember it all forever.
The unexpected Dusclops which floated (or perhaps fell) rather creepily down through the ceiling was a bit startling, Annie had to admit. She didn't quite believe her eyes at first, not before rubbing them and giving the Pokémon a second, hard look. Had it been there the whole time? It seemed to belong to the teacher, but why would she have put her Dusclops in the ceiling?
Shaking her head in order to dismiss the thought as largely irrelevant, Annie listened to the enumeration of their reward (quite an unexpected reward, but a pleasant one!) for showing up to class as they had done. It was also made obvious in the process that just because the teacher was in a wheelchair didn't mean she wasn't strong; that case full of TMs was awfully big, and yet here Miss Eisenberg hefted it with little sign of effort.
Annie waited to go up until after the girl sitting next to her had left, so as to avoid another potential conversation. She slung her bag across her back and gently picked up her Snorunt before going forward to take her turn using a TM. Dušana had sat through the class with her; it seemed only fair to share the reward with the loyal Pokémon who had been so well-behaved for it.
That completed, she nodded respectfully to Miss Eisenberg and left the classroom, ready for her next adventure.
Note: Used TM30 Shadow Ball on Dušana the Snorunt

Amanda nodded thoughtfully as she listened to the teacher: rather appreciating the sentiment being shared. Although she had initially been worried that the Battle Teacher were some gung-ho fighting enthusiast, she was relieved that Miss Catherine seemed quite more grounded. With the class officially dismissed: she carefully gathered her belongings and approached the TM Case, peeking inside.
''Oh, this will do I think!'' She smiled: swiftly employing and returning the machine to it's case.
With everything finished: she turned to the teacher. Amanda made a small curtsy: ''Thank you for the lesson today Madam Eisenberg!'' She beamed. Turning to leave the classroom: she let herself have one last look at the classroom and the people within. Hopefully, it would be an interesting experience for her.
Note: Amanda has used the TM: Earthquake on her Munchlax.

While she would admit that she was somewhat disappointed that no actual tactics were being taught, Adolfina could at least appreciate that the woman was taking the time to split those interested from those looking for perfection. While she could embrace perfection to ensure a winning streak, that would not please her at all. She would be accepting someone else's formula and using it, rather than building her own. So, though it was one class period "wasted", she could at least rest easy knowing that the next would get to the point.
Once the majority of the student body had done their thing, the girl approached the desk and released her Vibrava. She decided to go with something that possessed a tactical appeal, as opposed to something purely offensive in nature. So she decided on the TM for "U-turn". After returning the TM to the case, she half-bowed respectfully, returning the Vibrava, and got out of the way. She could have lingered, but she did not want to test the woman's patience. It would have been better to wait until after an actual class before interrogating her for information. (Utilized U-turn's TM on Vibrava)

And class was over, but not before a huge suitcase full of TMs had shown itself on the teacher's desk. The teacher had explained about those TMs and said that everyone in the class may get one. Claude had taken a nap beside her, apparently oblivious to the classroom noise level until he woke up. She got up and looked inside the TM case in order to see what TMs were compatible with her leaf lizard. She had decided that the TM53 which was the green disk containing Energy Ball should be a perfect move for her Snivy. Picking the green disk up from the case, she walked over to the sleepy leaf lizard in which he happily agreed to be taught a new move. And the disk had done its work which let the leaf lizard have a new move to contend with. With that, she left the classroom as the others had followed suit and this class was actually quite enjoyable for some.
