"That's interesting and I'm sure that Spinda can be found outside in one of those areas next to the dorm. Well, I do have one Pokemon that originated from that region and it's a Surskit." So, there were a whole bunch of new Pokemon that were in the Hoenn region and apparently, she did have one as one of the starters she was given at the academy. All of the other Pokemon that she caught were from different regions and those regions seemed far away from her home. Not to mention that she had a particular interest in that region's Ghost type Pokemon. Duskull seemed to be one of those Pokemon that she would plan to catch, but the other ghosts seem to be just as powerful in their evolved forms. Right now, Isabeau was the only Ghost type she found useful along with Henry, her Litwick and she had been training him slightly.

"Yes, I plan to use Masquerain for contests since it would most likely get more appeal due to its pretty eyespots on its wings. Well, some Pokemon would be intimidated by its eyespots however." And now, she could actually picture herself in a contest with Masquerain while the moth would use its bubbles and a beam of ice to create a display of sparkles. The judges would probably like that, but other Pokemon's appeal might rival that display since every move that a Pokemon had is unique for creating their own pattern to work with. And Masquerain's wings might scare off some Pokemon since the eyespots were a bit scary to some. She had read somewhere that the eyespots were some form of self-defense against other Pokemon that might want to eat it. If other Pokemon had eyespots like those, predators would think twice about trying to eat them for dinner. "That reminds me. I guess I can let him outside. Senketsu's friendly, so he won't bite." She released the blue water bug outside of his Pokeball and he slid at her side. She decided that the sword would need to take a nap for a bit, so she returned her back inside her Pokeball. Leaving the water bug to look around the library in awe and also looking over at the book about contests.

"Thank you. I always knew he had the potential for use in contests when he evolves." The water bug looked at her book curiously and read along with her. It was interesting to know that he could have some use in contest battles with his special moves used solely for creating his own displays. And then, another question had been imposed about what else would she enter alongside her Surskit when he evolves. Well, there were some Pokemon she could enter, but she wasn't sure if Pokemon from the Kalos region would be allowed. She would probably check with the person that hosts these contests first. "I guess I can enter my Snivy and Litwick if the people there don't mind foreign Pokemon other than ones that were native to the Hoenn region to enter the contest." As long as they don't get kind of standoffish towards them, it'll be alright for them to enter despite Pokemon Contests being absent in other regions other than Hoenn and Sinnoh.

"I guess so. Though, I think it'll be okay depending on if they allow entering foreign Pokemon in a contest or not. Maybe it's due to the fact that Unova does not have contests like Hoenn. Even so, I'd like for them to get a chance to participate in their first contest." She turned to her book where she read that some rules allow combinations of attacks to be executed in the appeal round while others don't. It wasn't unfair, but some contest halls don't allow it to be practiced. Henry and Claude could enter their first contest if the contest rules allowed it to be done, but it might come off as standoffish, so her Surskit was able to enter and not the Pokemon that came from the Unova region. That was fine, but then she would have to enter a contest hall that allowed it if things get out of hand. Meanwhile, the book had mentioned that certain combinations of attacks can do a good appeal for the judges if they were the same type. The water bug read along with her as he fantasized about doing a dazzling appeal when he evolves in a contest.

"I might join a club that does Pokemon Contests since I believe my Surskit likes to be in the spotlight once he evolves. What about you?" There seemed to be a club in the making that might have Pokemon Contests as its subject. The little water bug might like that and when he evolved, he would be able to wow the audience with his pretty eyespots and appeal. Assuming that he would be able to put up an appeal together on the stage. Of course, there was always the matter where one would have to have their appeal judged by the contest judges. She turned back to her book where the book had described something about using costumes for appeal. She hadn't known that one can use costumes to actually create an effect on the audience, but this piece of valuable information might be handy when she joined in on the stage with some of her Pokemon that she could use for that part.
