Mana-Style Relaxation [Chris]

Relaxation time, far, far, far away from the socializations of life. Kyrie sat on one of the Mana Dorm's multiple couches, breathing in the wonderful tranquility that was being alone. Mammon sat in her lap while her two ghosts fiddled around with a nearby lamp. Belphegor hung casually in a corner filled with some other pokemon's leftover spider web. It was only those four who would willing go out and not cause too much trouble. Belias was too scared to be out in the dorm with all the dark, ghost, and psychic types about. Then there was Beezlebub who tried to eat everything and Belial who was much more content with slipping inside his ball.
Well, Kyrie wouldn't complain. Not counting her ghosts, most of them were rather peaceful in their endeavors. Peaceful pokemon made a peaceful trainer. Yup, so peaceful that she wasn't even playing her game - instead she listened to OSTs through her handheld, both ears holding buds that would make sure she wasn't bothering anyone else. Even she had to admit that the Mana Dorm's inhabitants were the most shiny of people. All the better for her really, meant less yelling and all that.

Heading on back from his trip to the beach, Chris found himself walking into the Mana dorm with Dusk walking alongside him, with Chris having changed changed into a more fitting outfit before he left (by more fitting, he changed from the white shirt to what zero is wearing in the picture on the profile, just without the tie), figuring he would certainly seem out of place in a white shirt while the uniform is black. As he found himself walking into the building, he found himself smiling faintly at the peace and quiet of the area, something that many people would massively overlook.
As Chris kept walking, he found himself passing by a girl, one who appeared to be listening to music at first glance, however that wasn't what drew his attention, what drew his attention was the Espeon.... It'd been a while since he'd last seen one, and that was back before he came here, as it was part of the old family he'd helped and always visited. Dusk seemed to not be paying attention to the girl, but more so to Chris and the girl's pokemon, the look in Dusk's eyes pretty much stating 'mess with him, you mess with me, and that won't go down well for you at all'... Or something along those lines, although it clearly showed she was protective of her trainer in that regard.

The occasional person would come and go, passing through the Living Area without much attention being drawn. Kyrie was in the middle of changing from one OST to another when Mammon suddenly sat up. The pokemon was sensitive to eyes that looked on him and would often straighten himself up. In this case, that's exactly what he did except his gaze went from the curious onlooker to his pokemon who was giving him a warning look. The pokemon's eyes narrowed, returning the look with its own message of 'mess with my girl and I'll mess you up'. He was not about to lose in such regards and in a strange twisted way it was almost like a showdown-greeting thing. In any case it was quite obvious that the espeon wasn't about to back down from his own 'guardian' position in the face of his natural weakness.
Meanwhile Asmodeus and Leviathan turned their attention from the lamp to the boy who had taken an interest with their trainer (they didn't realize he was actually looking at Mammon). Like little children they ran on over to the trainer-pokemon duo (Leviathan floated). The sableye reached to tug at the weavile's claws, letting out little sableye 'oos' as he grinned his creepy grin. Leviathan on the other hand floated up to the trainer so that they would be on eye level before he started swirling around him harmlessly, letting out his little shuppet giggles. It was only around Asmodeus that Leviathan would act so open and mischievous, that time being the only time he showed any sort of emotion. Kyrie, listening to her music, was oblivious to it all as was Belphegor who stayed up in his place peacefully.

Dusk found herself smirking faintly, crossing her arms and nodding while speaking... something along the lines of 'fair enough then, seems we have a mutual understanding in that regard...'. Then, she turned her attention towards the Sableye, the look in her eyes making it clear she wasn't here to play around, she was the peace keeper and protector of Chris's team after all, if she can't show that she won't just let Pokémon run amok among her trainer and against her, that wouldn't reflect all that well now would it.
Dusk now looked up towards the shuppet, giving it a look which could easily be interpreted as a similar warning to the Pokémon, although modified slightly in terms of it being more so like 'if you even try anything that could potentially harm him, you're going to go through pain worse than you can ever imagine'. (Dusk doesn't mess around when it comes to things like that...) Dusk then found herself turning her attention to her trainer, although she would be ready to react to whatever happens at a mere milliseconds notice.
Chris found himself chuckling faintly at the Shuppet, seeing no problem with the ghost Pokémon, it was just entertaining itself and not doing any harm, although his gaze was still somewhat on the Espeon. He was in no way aware of the kind of glare's Dusk and the Espeon had been giving each other, so he was totally oblivious to how bad things could go at any moment.

Now that was the difference between the weavile and Mammon. Where the female gave the ghosts warnings, Mammon would just ignore them. As long as they did nothing to physically or mentally bother his trainer, he could've cared less what they did. Unfortunately for the weavile, her threats fell on deaf ears. Asmodeus hopped backward, shifting from foot to foot like a little imp - trying to get his fellow dark type to come play with them. Going so far as to make grabby hands at her, more or less showing that he had claws too (in his mind that's like 'we're both the same, we can be the best of pals!'). The threat went unnoticed by Leviathan as well, the ghost merely giggled and began to fade in and out of existence here and there.
Mammon turned his attention back to the stranger's trainer, content with that he got the message across. The fork-tail feline kept himself as straight up as possible, trying to be as regal as his sleek body could manage without him falling over himself. He did wonder why the boy kept staring at him and in the end hopped up Kyrie's shoulders, sitting on the back just behind her head. Kyrie, curious about her usually-not-so twitchy kitty, turned her head to give him a questioning glance. Instead her eyes fell on the boy who had been staring at Mammon. She raised one eyebrow, pulling a bud from her ear. "Um, hello?" She hesitantly greeted. He wasn't trying to get her attention before now way he? If so, well; whoops.

Dusk clearly didn't seem amused by the Sableye's behavior, appearing to be a serious, adamant girl in nature, which in general is a pretty good description of her, she doesn't like to merely play around, especially if she isn't In the mood for such antics. From the look in her eyes, this would become all the more apparent, especially if one actually took the time to try and notice that... although you wouldn't have to see it to understand how she was, it'd take more than something like making such motions to get her to do something along the lines of trying to play.
Chris found himself chuckling faintly once the girl finally noticed his presence. "oh, hello... sorry, my attention was on your Espeon... Been a while since I last actually encountered one. I would presume these two are yours as well, is that correct?" Chris responded to the girl's greeting, before resting his hand on Dusk's shoulder, causing her to look up at him and smile faintly, before her face became serious once again, upon turning back to look at the Girls Pokémon.

Kyrie blinked, okay so he hadn't been trying to get her attention. That was good. Rather his attention had been on Mammon which surprised the girl. Usually people only glanced at the espeon, perhaps admiring the silky velvet fur; before moving on. At least it explained why the proud little creature was in 'noble guardian' mode. "Is that so. Ah, yes those two are mine. So is that one." She motioned toward Belphgor who stayed in his spot without making a sound. "Oh, I'm sorry. Are they bothering you? They're usually good here..." Whether it was because the other boy was from the Mana Dorm like her or something, Kyrie felt rather nonchalant at the moment. Unlike when she faced other people in classes or outside where she would proceed to go into 'shell-mode', acting like her face would melt off if she looked a person in the face. Maybe it was the serious-looking weavile at his side that kept her from hiding her face or maybe it was her own idiot shuppet who was practically dancing around him.
In any case, Asmodeus was acting more of an idiot. He hadn't given up just yet. He paused for a moment, trying to think of something that would be enticing. You could just see the little light bulb pop on above his head as he crawled up the couch, tapping on Kyrie's shoulder with one hand out in a 'gimme' position. That was when Mammon took action, smacking the mischievous little creature with one paw. Down he tumbled on the couch, giggling instead of mad; giving up and deciding to play with the cushions instead. Going in the cracks where he fit and staring out with his jeweled eyes. It was really creepy actually, creepy enough that Kyrie had to scoot over lest he poke her like a kitten at play.

Chris chuckled faintly upon seeing the Espeon's action in the form of swatting away the Sableye, as if it was merely a fly, guess the Espeon must be quite protective of it's trainer, which makes sense... it seeming to be the only evolved one there, guess the first to evolve is always like that, considering Dusk seems somewhat similar. "No, they aren't bothering me, I was just curious about the Espeon... anyway... guess introductions are in order aren't they... I'm Chris, Chris Thyodor, and she's Dusk" Chris spoke, motioning with his hand over to Dusk upon mentioning her name, in order to avoid any possible confusion.
Dusk clearly didn't seem amused by the Sableye in the slightest, but she found herself giving a silent nod to the Espeon, acknowledging her apparent protectiveness and... what's the word... possessiveness... over her trainer, in a way, they weren't so different, apart from the fact Dusk isn't as possessive, and is willing to go much further when it comes to enforcing rules and the like, her not having any issue with punishing Midnight on the many occasions the Murkrow had tried to pull dangerous pranks.

Kyrie honestly had no real clue about her pokemon's hierarchy, only that Mammon would constantly swat away any of the other pokemon who would try to get her attention. It was even odder when he did nothing during battles, especially since he was never in them. Shaking her head of the thoughts, Kyrie nodded. It was only good manners to introduce one's self after all. "Kyrie Vyler. This is Mammon-" she patted the espeon before pointing to each of her other respectively, "And Leviathan, Asmodeus, and the zubat is Belphegor." It was a relief to know she didn't have to chase her bunch of children around the room, trying to shove them back into their capsules. Yes, that's how the hierarchy was. The adults and the children. And the dog who ate everything.
The Mana girl looked down at the weavile, tilting her head slightly. Now she knew she had seen such a pokemon before, the only question was where..? Steam was practically floating from her head as she searched through her reclusive memory only to give up in the end. Alas, she decided to give up, pointing at Mammon. "Did you want to pet him? He doesn't bite." She patted the espeon once more, whose eyes were now on the couch where the sableye hid.

Mammon... Asmodeus... Leviathan and Belphegor... those are certainly interesting names, that much Chris had to admit, although why call the Shuppet leviathan... wouldn't that make more sense for a water type? anyway, back to the situation at hand. "well... it wouldn't be right to decline now that you've offered now would it..." Chris chuckled as a response, cautiously reaching out in order to pet the Espeon... it'd certainly been a while since he'd last petted one or anything like that, so this should be interesting. "so... going off how Mammon acted as a response to your Sableye, she's the protective, possessive type, would that be considered accurate?" Chris spoke once again.
Dusk kept an extremely fierce glare on the Espeon, it was her way of telling this 'Mammon' that if she tried something, it wouldn't go down well. She guessed if we were going purely off type advantage, that would be accurate, but it would be unlikely for the Espeon to only have special moves...so Dusk would still have to be careful in a fight... then again, Dusk is no push over, that much is quite easy to see, and if you don't see that, normally a giant icicle to the face get's the point across.

With there being mention of petting, Mammon's eyes went to his trainer, expecting her to be the one to give the loving. To his disappointment it was the boy who came over to love on him. Although he was disappointed, the espeon wouldn't complain. He merely held still, keeping his eye on the weavile as he got his due. Returning her fierce glare with his own more watchful eye. If that weavile tried anything, he wouldn't be able to dodge since the attack would hit his master in the head. That he would not stand for, rather taking the attack head-on instead being a coward and fleeing.
"I guess so. He's the big boss to my children. Even Beezlebub listens to him." Kyrie admitted, it was probably a sad thing that her own pokemon listened to eachother rather than she herself. For Kyrie though, it was a relief since the 'big boss' listened to her. It was like a chain reaction, the boss listens so the underlings listens.

So... The Espeon is the one that's in charge of her pokemon eh? And she calls them children... Not what Chris was expecting that much has fo be admitted, sure he in his own way saw his pokemon as family... But not in a biological term or fashion like that. Chris cautiously petted the Espeon, the manner of how he did so made it clear that he knew how to treat this kind of eeveelution... Then again... He knows how to treat eeveelutions in general.
"Well... I guess Dusk is similar in a way, she's also quite protective, although not as possessive as one would think at first.. among my team, she views herself more as the protector and peace keeper, although she has no issues with making sure the rest of my pokemon don't cause any issues, even when It often takes her preparing an icicle crash to get Midnight's... Well... My Murkrows attention" Chris spoke, his tone being quite calm in nature.
Dusk kept a wary eye on Mammon, but found herself nodding to what chris said, as if to emphize that it was pretty much true, she even found herself chuckling faintly upon him mentioning what she had a habit of doing to Midnight if she goes to try and cause trouble.

Kyrie made sure to watch Mammon. He wasn't mischievous like the others but his pride outlast any of the others, right next to Belphegor who was still hanging idly by. Thankfully the boy seemed to know how to manage the psychic type. She listened to him as he described the weavile, who was watching her espeon rather oddly she might add. So that one acted like the leader too in a way, more iron fisted than Mammon that was for sure. Well, she actually seemed to care for her party unlike Mammon who only cared about things that concerned his pride and his trainer. They were alike and yet so different. Must've been a first evolution thing.
Her tilted slightly at the mention of a murkrow. Now usually, anyone would know what that was. Usually. Kyrie was a rare case. She didn't. She did think hard about but still got nothing. Her brows furrowed, "Murkrow? Sounds like a bird." Oh, how her parents would be embarrassed for her and her huge lack of knowledge of 'life'. It was worse since many people walked around with the birds, the only problem was that this girl had never been outside long enough to spot one. "Wouldn't an ice move really hurt birds?" The girl mused, a question more for herself. At least she was learning. Slowly, but learning.

Did she... Did she really just say that... Didn't expect her not to know what a Murkrow is, that's for certain... But to each their own... She does seem to prefer ghost in some way, given that more than one of the pokemon he could see were ghost types... Guess she doesn't know her dark types. "yeah, Murkow is a flying type, dark flying to be specific, Midnight, my Murkrow, is a bit of a prankster and away troublemaker by nature, so she finds herself getting scolded by Dusk quite often... She's smart enough to back down once Dusk starts preparing Icicle crash though, she knows she can't beat dusk in a fight, hence why the ever present threat of Icicle crash is so effective, it's more of a psychological matter than physical..." Chris explained, still carefully petting Mammon in a way which showed he clearly knew what he was doing.
Dusk continued to nod along with Chris's words upon her being mentioned, showing that in reality that was quite accurate, sure she could just Icicle crash Midnight to unconsciousness, but the overarching psychological affect the threat has often proves to be enough, and even if it doesn't, it forces Midnight to have to act cleverly, or her to not cause trouble in the first place.

Oh, a dark prankster. How was she not surprised. At least she got the bird part right so she wasn't a total dimwit even if she did just take an educated guess. She mouthed an 'oh' as he explained Midnight, chuckling slightly to hear the relationship between crow and weavile. "You're Midnight sounds much smarter than my ghosts." Kyrie smiled, "They don't learn even after a thrashing." As if on cue, the sableye who had been hiding popped out from the cushions, clinging to his trainer's arm like a monkey only to get smacked in the face by Mammon's tail. He rolled off in feigned pain before giggling and running off, in his hands was a poke'ball. He waved it around, dancing from foot to foot once more. A sign for 'come chase me or you won't get it back'. He only earned a sigh and Leviathan's attention who swooped on over to him, waving around for the dark-ghost type to pass it to him. Next thing anyone knew, the two ghosts were tossing the ball around.
"I hope that's not Kishi's ball... or Beezlebubs..." the girl sighed again, showing no signs of getting up. Either way, whoever's ball that was, the resident would be out soon enough. Out and pummeling those two no doubt. If it was Belias though... He'd probably just sit tight or try to run away. Either way, the poor ice cream was the two ghosts' favorite target beside Kyrie. If only Mammon had a move to punish those two... he could scare Leviathan but Asmodeus was completely immune to everything Mammon could throw at him. Amazing really. Amazing and annoying.
Mammon did care to notice, instead he wanted to keep being petted. His eyes showed signs of contentment, ears perked as the Chris told them of his own pokemon. Two they knew now, a murkrow named Midnight and then there was Dusk who rivaled himself when it came to guardianship. Interesting enough. For the espeon anyway.
