Mana-Style Relaxation [Chris]

There fell a silence between the two pokemon, one of the lighter ones that felt like a little spark just hung in the air for something. Either way the espeon wasn't too sure with what to say next, already feeling that his save with like tissue paper holding any words he might've spoke. Well, actions really seeing as how pokemon didn't actually speak anything other than their name. Maybe an occasional squeak of a cry but not a word in the end. Still he couldn't help but eye the weavile, wondering what went on in that head of hers. He didn't read minds despite being a psychic type, though he liked to say that his intuition was better than reading minds anyway. Espeon pride right there.

Silence... not much of a surprise there, considering how quiet the two had been... then again, as far as one could tell, Chris clearly hadn't noticed at all, his attention was focused on other things. Dusk noticed how the Espeon was looking at her... as if he was trying to work out what was going on in her head... well... guess that's a way to start conversation again at least. Dusk let off a quiet cry, just loud enough for the Espeon to hear, which went something along the lines of 'is there something I should be concerned about? you're kind of... staring... at this point... not used to male's staring at me'. As if on cue, Dusk seemed to look away slightly, as if to empathize what she had just said via her cry.

Mammon caught himself staring, quickly looking away and swiping a paw over his nose. He made a little sniffle with a poke` apology of 'sorry, you're just very mysterious to me is all.' Mammon wasn't one to let others get the better of him so when he did catch himself at the odder end of the stick, the espeon would grow anxious. It didn't help that the other was also not used to males staring at her, but then hardly anyone was really comfortable when others stared at them. Well except for Belphegor, he lived on the attention. Speaking of which, Mammon tilted a bit to see those two dunces were awake yet. They were not. That's what happens when they get grabbed by their weaknesses he guessed. They'd be up sooner or later when Kyrie grabbed her attention away from her handheld.

So the Espeon was just curious... Well... Fair enough, Dusk isn't the easiest pokemon to read, which makes sense considering how quiet she's been most of the time. As a response, she found herself looking back at the Espeon, being careful not to stare at him. She then uttered a quiet cry... Something along the lines of 'well... If you had questions... You could just ask instead of staring... It's much easier that way'. Dusk carefully glanced towards the other pokemon, hoping they hadn't managed to pick up on the 'conversation' that was going on between Dusk and Mammon... If they did, well... Not much one can really do about that.

The espeon tail visibly twisted, clearly complex. He looked away, mulling over what questions he might have had in his head. It was mostly curiosity really. He couldn't think of any of the main reason why he stared at her. It was like looking at a TV screen, watching little characters dance across the screen although they were actually dancing far, far away. It was like that, mysterious. He huffed, swiping a paw over his face in his contemplation. He let out a low cry, humming a message of 'Questions... I can't think of any. You're just too mysterious is all.' There was a pause in his message, the feline pokemon twitched an ear as he thought of something. Then the message continued with another, 'Mysterious like... the moon perhaps? It shines but it's not warm like the sun but it keeps than land lit when it's full.'

Like the moon... Can't say she'd heard her be compared to that before, that much is for certain... The question is... Did he mean that last part as a compliment... Or was he really comparing her to a dead rock that crashed into the earth an extremely long time ago? Hopefully the former, it'd certainly be less offensive... That much is for certain. Dusk let off another quiet cry, this time along the lines of 'Should I take that as a compliment? Or was there another meaning to that... Cause that isn't the easiest thing to work out...'. Dusk tried her best to hide a sly smirk as she awaited the Espeons answer, she was certainly curious as to how he'd react to her response.

Mammon paused, wondering how he should answer that. He wasn't too keen on the scientific things, more of a folklore cat himself so he didn't understand why she might've thought it anything other than a compliment. The espeon tilted his head, looking at the weavile curiously in a message of 'Take it as a compliment. I meant it as such.' He flicked his tail, 'Y'know they say that cleffairy originated from the moon but who knows.' He didn't know why he thought of that at that exact moment. On top of that he felt a certain need to figure out why there was a lore that said as such. He tried to shake the thoughts from his mind, knowing he'd probably get lost in them.
Meanwhile, over in the corner in which they had been knocked out in; Belphegor and Leviathan awoke. The bat let out a angry hiss before trying to get off the ground, doing very poorly at that while Leviathan merely rose and swayed in a daze. It took the bat a while to gather himself up, going back up to the ceiling to rest after that strenuous exercise.

So... it really was meant as a compliment... well, can't really complain there... even though Dusk wasn't used to compliments from other Pokémon... especially male Pokémon, none had ever really tried to do so, or even try to get to know her well enough to get to a stage where she'd be comfortable to be complimented. Unsure of how to really react to the compliment, she was silent for a moment, but eventually she responded to the Espeon, quietly at that. It was something along the lines of 'W... Well... thanks I guess... sorry... I'm not used to compliments at all to be honest... you're one of the first Pokémon who've been brave enough to actually do so...' after this, she wasn't sure what to say anymore, so she became completely silent.

Being told he was the first of a very few who had the guts to compliment the sharp clawed pokemon at first made the espeon skeptical. Surely he wasn't the only one. But then he remembered that she wasn't one to fib or demean herself. She seemed like one whose pride was too much for that, like himself in a way. Somehow it brought a little smile to his face. 'I must be of a rare species then or those pokemon didn't have very good eyes.' The espeon messaged through a wave of his tail and an equally low cry. He felt his pride swell up like a bubble knowing that he was considered 'brave' even for a little thing like a compliment. It showed through his straightened back and nearly gleaming eyes. When the weavile fell silent so did the espeon. He flicked his ears in thought before letting out a low cry, 'So tell me about your team. I know we've already brought them up before but I find you interesting.' He curled his twin tail, 'in turn I can tell you about mine. Including those two.' He motioned to the duo who still lingered over in their little area.

Well, if anything could be said for certain... Mammon is certainly braver than most Pokémon, most would merely leave her alone due to her 'reputation' of being iron fisted and an aggressive enforcer when it comes down to it, and those who didn't run and tried to enforce control soon learned that it was a bad idea, to be fair only midnight had really tried, but still, you get the idea. Upon understanding the meaning of Mammon's movement, she was even more surprised... specifically from the 'those Pokémon didn't have very good eyes' part... did he... did he just say she was attractive by that? that's certainly a first... admittedly the Psyduck from before probably thought that, but he had pretty much no chance... Mammon though... perhaps he does.
Dusk let off another quiet cry, this time saying 'Well... Skorupi is the only male among the group, he's perfectly content with following orders and rules and he's quite friendly and respectful when you get to know him, he doesn't let grudges from battles interfere outside of battle. role wise he's kind of the counter to one of the type weakness's me and Midnight have, Fairy. he's quite strong defensively and he can dole out a surprising amount of damage, especially if he lands a crit with cross poison. he's also the oldest member of the team alongside myself, having been one of Chris's two starters. Midnight is the prankster and the typical trouble maker, so in many regards we don't get along, however the two of us respect each other for own abilities and strengths, especially against types that are vulnerable against her sucker punch, which in and of itself is pretty powerful. Last we have Sol, she's a nice girl overall, although she lacks self confidence, thinking of herself as the weakest of all of us, which going purely on statistics she is, but she does have potential. She's quite useful as a utility focused unit thanks to Heal Pulse and Psychic, although she has potential to be a powerful offensive Pokémon when she evolves, even if she doesn't realize it... anyway, that's everyone... and from what you just implied with movement... you... you think i'm attractive? never had'.
