Physical Education #1 continued - Dodgeball!

Alvis watched as the various balls flew in every direction. He kept a careful eye to make sure nobody did anything they shouldn't be while still leaning back and enjoying the match. A few of the kids where too afraid to even play, others played it safe while still trying to help, while others just straight up started belting people with balls. One girl actually opted to hide behind her Pokemon rather than fight. Honestly, Alvis thought it was kind of cute but couldn't help but laugh. He was glad to see the kids enjoying the game though.

"AWH SHI--" Oleg then fell back a bit as the ball hit him straight on the face. He let out a grunt as his glasses flew off, looking around confused for a moment before picking them up and exiting the ring. He let out a slight grunt as he quickly checked on them. Good, nothing had broken. It would have been a bitch to try and get some new ones, especially since he would probably either need to get all his notes back from his old optic or get new glasses mailed to them.

He proceeded to simply plonk himself down, Waspinator following suit and landing next to him as he then begun his patient wait for a caught ball.

As Benji rolled out of the way he expected to feel the impact of the ball that was thrown at him. Though to his surprise nothing hit him! He stood up, brushing himself off as he looked to see that the ball had rolled right past him. With a grin he motioned to Duncan to grab the ball, and the Charmander nodded as he quickly grabbed it and threw it to his trainer. Benji rounded back on the other team and scanned the opposing students, looking for one target in particular. His icy eyes locked onto Crispin and he smirked. "You missed, my turn!" He shouted as he brought his arm back and threw the ball so hard he felt like his shoulder might dislocate. He kept his eye on the ball almost trying to will it to hit the Nature Dormer. Rubbing and rolling his shoulder he winced slightly. Perhaps next time he should be a bit more careful, but hopefully this hard throw would pay off.

James grumbled as the large nosed boy got out, and as the kid he threw the ball at dodged.  Looking around for a ball now he noticed Lucifer had one upon his wooden helmet.  Carefully taking the ball from his companion he looked around.  As he looked about he counted the members on each team, and noticed that his team was, missing a member?  He recounted again, and again to make sure.  While counting Lucifer looked out for any balls coming their way.  After James was sure of the numbers on each team he thought for a moment.  They were missing one member, however they had Mr. Muscles on their side.  It might be somewhat fair, but he wanted things to be interesting.  "Hey, can we get Rampy on our side?"  He said, calling out in the teacher's direction.  He was probably going to say no, but hey, it was worth a shot.  Waiting for an answer he threw the ball once more at the first vulnerable like student he saw.

Tanya watched as her throw at the young girl failed miserably. That was not how she wanted to start the game. Luckily enough for her though, it seemed that each side only lost one member and Amanda had apparently left, meaning that their side had the advantage. At least for now.

Looking around, Tanya saw that one of the kids was going for a really strong throw. Hoping to take advantage of the kid's lapse of protection, Tanya aimed a throw at the boy. Not wanting to put herself in too much danger, Tanya elected to stay safe, keeping a safe distance as she threw the ball.

Action: Tanya does a safe throw on Benji!

He noticed the trouble making girl didn't show up for dodgeball, and all Crispin could assume was that she got her feathers ruffled at being told she was wrong and went back to the dorms.  Shaking his head in disbelief people could actually act like that, he tried to just keep his attention focused on the game.

As Cecillia tried picking up one of the rubber balls in her mouth to take over to her person, Crispin noticed movement from the direction his ball had sailed over before.  Turning, he saw that it seemed it was a Mana dormer his ball was lobbed at previously... and they were retaliating.  "Shoite." He could tell the ball would hurt if it hit him, so all he could do was try to get out of the way and try not to get hit.  What good would it be if he got out already?

He ducked, and the ball aimed at him went completely over his head. He couldn't help but be really happy with the outcome. He noticed their was someone on his team that was hit, and at the same time someone on the other team got hit as well. This was exciting. One of the balls that had been tossed was nudged to him by his Eevee, and he hesitated in picking it up. He wasn't entirely sure if he should play safe and dodge the entire time, or if he should actually get aggressive. He decided on the latter, and picked up the ball. He noticed that the same guy who had initially tried to it him looked to be throwing at someone else, and decided to get him back for it. He threw a fast ball his way.

Oleg seemed to be out after a ball had hit him, but a small victory had come when she had successfully hit a Wave Dormer. Maybe there would be another victory in this round, but she won't know for sure. All the other people on her team were pretty good at dodgeball, judging how they avoided some of the other team's throws. And it seemed that Amanda wasn't present in the last round which could only mean that she had to cool down for a bit. While the second round was fresh, Missy had taken the initiative again to use her telekinetic powers to pick up the ball and drop it in her trainer's hands. She decided to just play it safe again and threw the ball at a Lava Dorm girl with a hat. That Nature Dorm girl with the Shelgon was dodging all those dodgeballs thrown at her and she might've avoided some if one of those dodgeballs were targeted at her too.

Action: Used a Safe Throw on Meili.

So far so good. Meili was avoiding all the dodgeball induced chaos. Now one wondered why she didn't just let a ball hit her and let herself be out. The simple answer was...she was way too competitive for her own good...and as a result indecisive in this situation. She wants to quit but she wanted to at least come out on top somehow.

Meili's eyes wandered over to a girl with black hair with a red streak. Meili's eyes wandered to see no ball nearby. It looked like she was going to have to dodge again. She kept a grip on her hat and moved out of the throw the best she can.

Action: Attempting to Avoid Alice's shot.

Seria dove on the ground and dodged the ball that Oleg threw at her, softly giggling to herself as she saw the Bolt dormer get slugged by a ball thrown by Astrid. "Thanks, Astrid sis!" Seria called out and threw a thumbs up at her friend, and soon caught herself up and jumped backwards to avoid the ball thrown by Cameron. Annie had thrown a ball at him but subsequently missed, meanwhile the Wave dormer had also been struck down by a ball thrown by Alice. "Come on, guys!" Seria attempted to rally up the team as she had Zenith grab a ball and pass it to her. She had, for the moment, realized Amanda was conspicuously absent. The lack of her in the area worried Seria slightly, but soon decided she would take out the turmoil on someone else in the ring.

Seria eyed Cameron with slightly slit eyes. "Payback!" Seria called as she lobbed the ball at a high speed at Cameron.

Astrid pumped her fist, seeing that even with the safer throw she'd managed to hit her target. Immediately after, she heard Seria thanking her, and gave a quick mock salute in her direction. She then turned and...oh, someone had actually targeted her this time. It looked like it would go wide, though, so Astrid started seeking out another target rather than worrying about avoiding it. She spotted a girl on the other team tossing a ball at Meili, just in time for Ollie to come back with another ball to throw. Not quite the same obvious and easy target as last time, but it would do. So she took the ball and tossed it towards the girl.

Apparently, some genius thought that it was a good idea to aim for Adolfina. Now, really, she could not consider this to be intelligent or wise. One reason was because the aim was entirely off. It didn't hit her at all. On top of that, the simple fact that she had been aimed at bothered her. Grabbing the dead ball from the ground, she peered out from around the Shelgon. Who was the most disgusting, annoying, or otherwise bothersome-looking person on the other team? And then something hit her ears. Somebody was using a person's name, then tacking on “sis” at the end? That sounded as though somebody was absolutely inflicted in the head. Even if she hit that person in the face, the damage would be minimal. If anything, she might have fixed something. Plus, the person did look annoying. Therefore, without hesitation or consideration for the victim, she threw a fast ball aimed at the girl's face!

Action: Fast Throw at Seria's face, specifically.

Balls flew in every direction as Sonia tried to account for all of them. It wasn't too hard, but reacting to them was another. As someone who had learned to just "take the hit" rather than avoid it, dodgeball wasn't something she could just jump into on the fly. The one ball that she did account for was the one that had nearly hit Fi. It had just barely grazed her! She would have gotten seriously injured had that hit! Sonia could tell just by looking. Tracing it back to the thrower, Sonia saw the boy (girl?) who threw it. You again! Clenching her balls, the girl ran up and attempted to peg the boy (girl?) who had not only tried to hit her, but her partner. Nobody hurts my partner! Lobbing a ball, the girl left herself open for attack once again.

Action: Stopping the boygirl menace with a ball to the face. Also, fast throw.

Things were going good this round. Suddenly, there was a lot more people out than before. The numbers were dwindling on each side. However, as one boy pointed out, they had been down a player. Likely because of that, Team 1 only had three players left; two of which were hardly four feet tall. As he recalled, that blonde girl likely threw a fit and walked off. Sucks. He was hoping to clap her off with Rampy and the other students. Alvis found it humorous though. He had specifically requested Rampy of all things. The dinosaur with tiny ass hands. Well, he wasn't sure how Rampy would fair, but they -did- start off down a player. RAMPY! YOU HEARD THE KID! GET YOUR ASS IN THERE! Hearing his trainer, the big blue dinosaur leaped into the battlefield and attempted to grab at a ball. Alvis only smiled as he sat back and enjoyed the show some more.

Still rubbing his sore shoulder from throwing so hard, Benji totally wasn't ready for the ball that came flying at him. Noticing it at the last second he tried to duck only to be hit squarely on top of the head. "Crap," he hissed under his breath as he rubbed the slight stinging on his head. He knew it had been a risk throwing the ball so hard, yet it hadn't paid off since Crispin dodged and he got hit afterwards. Grunting he gave a shrug and walked over to the sidelines to sit next to his other teammates who were out. Duncan followed, taking a seat next to his trainer while keeping his eyes on the field. "You could have warned me a ball was coming," Benji said as he nudged the Charmander. Duncan shrugged and continued to watch the game, and Benji followed suit. He noticed Rampy, Alvis' Pokemon coming out on the field and onto his team. His eyes widened slightly then he let out a laugh...this should be interesting. "Someone catch a ball or genuflect or something!" He yelled out at his teammates. Hopefully they would get back in and win this thing.
